  1. In view of Apple winning the landmark case against samsung today, in my humble opinion, it seems that the prices of Samsung smartphones will increase initially and then eventually bottom out. I understand that this may be a premature reaction, but that's what it seems at the moment. What is your opinion ? What about other brands and gadgets running android? I think it will affect everyone.

The verdict -- which came after less than three days of jury deliberations -- could lead to an outright ban on sales of key Samsung products and will likely solidify Apple's dominance of the exploding mobile computing market. Apple's victory is a big blow to Google, whose Android software powers the Samsung products that were found to infringe on Apple patents. Google and its hardware partners, including the company's own Motorola unit, could now face further legal hurdles in their effort to compete with the Apple juggernaut.

    I bought a RAZR for my brother (who stays in Chennai) recently. He says the battery doesnt last one full day and he has to charge it so often. He is total non-techie and its difficult to guide him for little things like switching off wi-fi, gps when not needed. How i wish i had bought a RAZR MAXX for him !!
  7. YouTube should not be used as a benchmark since YouTube uses CDN which will select the closest location having lowest latency and would deliver the content from there which would make it faster.     3, Last, BUT NOT LEAST:- EXCELLENT BATTERY LIFE With QuadCore CPUs in phone comparing 1.2GHz Dual of MAXX, we can save say 30 to 45 seconds a day (time difference in opening the apps or games in a day)... But with MAXX, we can live without worry of phone dying out of juice for minimum TWO days (we don't have 4G here so) ---- MENTAL PEACE ---- More COSTLIER than ANY GADGETS, imho... You have a point .... most of the time GPS based apps are switched off, because of battery life On the other hand, if the battery lasts for one complete day then it is manageable IMHO

    ^^^ I use Google tasks You can access it and edit it from your phone also, desktop also (you will need web access) I use Better Google Tasks which is a chrome extension for accessing my google tasks from PC .. or you can simply use tasks within your gmail. For accessing and syncing the same on my mobile I use Tasks Try it for sometime its pretty neat ~~~~ If you dont want to use web, and need reminders at a particular time, then try Outlook ..and use some app for syncing with your android device

    Agreed bro. I think the best way for this is to create a 'Direct Dial' Shortcut on the home screen, rather than having to go to 'People' app and then choosing a contact to make the call.
