  3. What takes more battery in Android CDMA devices? 1x or EVDO or Wifi I mean which mode is recommended to save battery assuming speed/cost is not a concern? Also assuming data consumption (in MB) is same. For example: If a device runs for 12 hours on Wifi mode till the battery drains completely, how many hours will it run on 1x and on EVDO

    ^^lol Delivery reports working well with my Bionic -on Reliance CDMA - with Handcent. Handcent Menu ->settings -> Receive message settings -> Delivery reports (check) Checked it with a non-Reliance number. Switched off the other phone and the status was showing as 'pending'. When I switched it on, it showed delivered (green tick mark next to the text bubble)

    I hope prior to this you added a contact Person 'X' in your phone book with '3' (single digit) as his phone number 5. After you dial Person B, you have to dial Person 'X'
  11. I have seen the following 3G USB dongles for GSM for sale: ZTE K3770-Z FULLY UNLOCKED (LINK) Huawei E303C Datacard (LINK) My questions are: 1. Can they used with my Tata Docomo Prepaid SIM card or should I buy postpaid SIM ? 2. Does any provider give 7.2 mbps 3G on prepaid SIM card? 3. If I dont use the account balance for more than a year, then will the validity get over? 4. Is it better to buy the Netconnect dongle (CDMA) from TATA & Reliance or the above solutions?

    I like watching English movies. For me The Dark Knight is one of the finest movie ever made - the cast, the acting, the screenplay, script, dialogues, everything was top-class!! If the 'Dark Knight Rises' is even half of its prequel its paise vasool for me !!

    Cool !! The method in the 1st post WORKS !!!!! Thanks a lot again Kapil bhai ... 'Aap dhanya hain!' ..lol I was tapping 'merge call' which was the mistake I made earlier. I have also now made a 'shortcut' on the home screen to directly dial '3' of contact 'x' ..so that things are speeded up and i dont have to open the 'Contacts' app. Thanks again bro!

    I tried the above trick with my Motorola Bionic, but it didn't work. I have been trying to enable my phone for call conference but nothing is working. Pls help me. This is what I am doing:- 1. I dial Person A and ask him to hold the call. 2. I tap the 'Add call' button 3. I dial Person B 4. When 'B' answers I tap the 'Merge Calls' button. My phone shows as if call conference is happening, but Person A is not able to hear anything except a slow beep-beep sound ('hold' sound)
  16. I bought an iberry earlier and really regretted it. The build Quality is bad. The speed is ultra slow. It hangs. It lags. It refuses to start on a bad-mood day. Maybe they have a better model now, but be careful. Read my review in the 'Ipad alternative' thread. LINK Pls post your review here if you buy it. It will help a lot of people.
  17. It does not have audio output ie either 5.1 or 7.1 channel and also lacks Optical disk. At one point I thought of that, but won't be useful as of now. It has an HDMI port, which I use to get awesome sound off my TV. This is enough for my needs. Also optical disk is more expensive and inconvenient compared to hard-drives/torrents. In the end, it is your requirement and your taste. I was only suggesting. Cheers
  18. Rather than buying a Blu-ray player, you can also consider buying a Western Digital Media player for about 7000/-. You can connect your hard drive to it and play movies/music on your TV. It has wifi also. Here is an ebay -> link
  19. ^^^ The website in the brochure link claims that the 'proprietor' has his own manufacturing (!) unit of the gadgets listed. Not sure why he has not connected with famous and reliable web portals to sell his products so far. I, for one,would be extremely cautious in dealing with this website.

  21. I bought a Bluetooth dongle for my PC. It is installing perfectly. But I think its good only for Bluetooth enabled Keyboard/Mice only. I was not able to configure it for my Jawbone Bluetooth headset. I am running Win XP. When i go to Control Panel-> Sounds & Audio Deviced-> Audio (tab)->Sound playback (Default device) the bluetooth device does not feature in the list. Can anyone suggest me a solution for using my Jawbone Bluetooth headset with my computer please? Thanks.
