I am banking with HDFC for 6 years, and my experience is very pleasant. I have a salary account, so 0 balance is allowed. But rest services are good. ICICI and SBI are two banks anyone should be very wary of.

Brio will beat i10, ritz, beat and Liva (petrol versions) a lot. I liked Brio, really great pricing for the offering.

Banking with Reliance! Ha ha haha I barely trust them with prepaid money, no chance I would be banking with them!

How I wish Liva diesel would come with Jazz or Brio interiors! That would be a dream car

dkaile: I agree about the engine part, but all the rest in Etios/Liva is really poor quality. The seats made by gunnybag quality material, not much sound insulation, low quality interiors with pathetic looking faded white central console. A purchasor of about 5 Lakh Rs car deserves quality!

I use COMODO internet security, anti virus and firewall combined. Recommend it to friends too, very easy to set up and free upgrades. -

Irresistable Deals In Electronics, Gadgets, Mobiles, PC Hardware
ani_meher replied to rajanmehta's topic in General Technical Discussion
That's surprising! Because I specifically asked whether there was any octroi, and he replied the amount (about 500) and said they will charge the company for that! If it makes any sense, I ordered using COD. I guess in COD there is always risk of getting the parcel rejected by the buyer, and hence the octroi is charged to the seller. Another site futurebazaar definitely pays the octroi, because all their packages have this huge sticker 'OCTROI PREPAID', whether or not it is COD.- 6,376 replies

Relax. Watches and small items usually go without check. I received many watches in Pune without octroi. Even if it is, then its rate is max around 5%, so calculate accordingly. If you have to pay the octroi, then you don't have to do anything. The courier company will pay it and will charge it to you. It's a very simple matter, and Pune PMC is one ****er out to **** every tax payer's penny. Be prepared to pay 5% on most basic things. Hell I was charged 25 bucks on a 100 rs yebhi sandle (this seems to be the minimum charge).

Except Octroi. ebay global easy buy doesn't pay octroi. So far, the only sites that take care of octroi too are letsbuy and futurebazaar. Others you have to pay the octroi. I saved 500rs of octroi on phone ordered from letsbuy, they paid it In a past camera transaction with indiaplaza as well as tradus, I had to pay about 500 rs octroi on cameras costing 7000-10000 rs.- 6,376 replies

Why man? I am buying gold online for 1-2 years now, from reputed jewellers. The coin is as good as it gets, with proper markings of hallmarking or that jeweller's. I don't trust much in gold etf, as said above. And if you buy gold coin from a shop, they will charge this tax and that making charge, thus shooting up the price. Online you get good offers to buy coins in raw shaped gold rates. -

^^^ No, but if you check http://www.caratlane.com/, their website, they seem pretty genuine, and they sell hallmarked coins as well, only a bit costlier than these. I don't have doubt, but yes, buyer's discretion advised! Sharp eyes dkaile! -

You can also buy two grams coin rather than two one gram coins, but I prefer more liquidity than just consolidating in one coin! -

I bought 995 clarity 24K gold coins from ebay at effective rate of Rs.2189 per gram. It is almost equal to market, but here in same rate as of raw gold, you get a sealed coin. I used the ebay HDFC coupon to get 10% off, thus effectively getting price as good as market. -
Help: Getting LCD TV For Less Than Rs.15,000, as big as possible!
ani_meher posted a topic in The Lounge
I am in a dilemma, and I request friends to help me. I wish to purchase a TV for my small house, which can house max 24/26 inch LCD well. 32" LCD will be too big for budget as well as the house. I am finalizing one of the two: Sony BX300 22" for Rs.11,130 http://ezone.futurebazaar.com/Product/Audio+%26+Video/LCDs/Sony+Bravia+BX+Series+22Bx+300+LCD+TV/2440334 Or Samsung G4R HD 22" for Rs.14,200 http://www.samsung.com/in/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/lcd-tv/LA22D481G4RMXL/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=specification The main viewer of this TV is going to be my mom, while I can work on PC! Now some questions: Is HD important so as to pay 3k additional? Is Sony a better producer of TVs than Samsung? In the 3k extra, I am getting HD + 400W PMPO sound + USB movie connectivity. Worth it? Any other good LCD I can try (under 15K)? -
Is it? Damn But I thought Honda's were rattle free, unlike maruti.

I thought so before, but after the launch and the prices, I don't think I will go for Liva. I may buy a second hand jazz for the same price. Liva is too bland, and the engine too is not that much of a gem (as it is in etios).

Help: Getting LCD TV For Less Than Rs.15,000, as big as possible!
ani_meher replied to ani_meher's topic in The Lounge
Most viewing will be of normal channels only, hardly HD, if never. I don't plan to get HD connection, so all the channels will be normal tata sky. Thanks for clarifying the PMPO thing Room size is about 8 ft from the wall of mount, and 5-6ft viewing distance. I think the sony tv is good, are there any better alternatives? -

32 incher will be too big. Anything in 24/26? Also, does it make too much difference in HD and non HD for such small TVs? -
Liva launched yesterday. At 4.69 ex showroom for acceptable G version, it is not worth waiting or going for. Except the Toyota badge, nothing is in favour of this car, not the quality, not the appearance, not the drive. God help T!

Now that Liva launch is around the corner - on 27th June - any reviews of Etios by users here? harismahesh?
