1. Nokia 2112. 2. LG 3000. Don't go for Nokia 1255/1325/2255. Hardly 2 days battery life. The above 2 sets are the best in terms of battery life.

i don't see any real need for this. for searching the posts pertaining to particular handset, there is always the search option.

Sify broadband is really Fcked up. go for that only if u like to have extra irritation in ur life. it'll work only for a few days, then will stop working for a long amt of time, n after ur validity expires, u don't carry forward the balance MB, so u have to pay full again. the service center guys are someones that make RIM guys look brilliant, and the complain mails get answered as if u have thanked Sify for providing wonderful service. really, don't even think about it.

or if u r looking for a better deal, buy from a small shop! because those reliance outlets are usually the costliest. also, the warranty is not by the shops, but by the cell making company's service center. so buy from anywhere u r getting good price, but make sure u get receipt if u want to get free service within warranty.

No. You can't use the RUIM card on any GSM phone.

Can any Tata user please clarify the following points? 1. I know tata sim can be used on RIM Nokia 2865 directly. Can i access internet thru that tata sim in that nokia2865 without any change in mobile, like PRL file? I don't want tatazone, just want to connect to the internet on my desktop. 2. Does Nokia1235 support Tata sim? 3. I will be using bluetooth for connecting the phone to the computer as modem. what dialer should i download for accessing internet thru tata? is the the same as broadband dialer? Requesting the answers from knowledgable ppl....

thank god i asked. because on wednesday i'll be leaving to my native place, where there is no way of getting a datacable. i'll get one today. also, if possible, i'll try to check the working of tsim on nok1325.

this panic spread is really a proof what havoc can media cause. there is just a single case reported in India till date, and around 100 whole worldwide. compare that to the total number of BL5c battery handsets sold, u'll see the probability of ur phone blasting off is VERY small. I am not saying u should ignore it, especially if u are getting a free new battery replacement for ur old battery. but even if ur bl5c battery is of that particular lot, relax, it's not that every battery is blasting off. take ur time, n whenever sooner is possible for u, go for the replacement n enjoy ur new battery. it hasn't exploded for so long, so a few more days are far less likely to hurt. if u think of it, the probability of u getting in a road/train/household accident is far more than ur cellphone blasting off. i m no way suggesting that u shouldn't go change ur battery, just asking ppl to stay cool, if at all there is any such hyper activated person here.

Sorry for reviving this old topic. I need to use Tata card on my RIM 2865. I need it basically for internet connection, as my native place has only tata connection. do i need to flash the mobile, or just putting the TSim will suffice? Also, does anyone have any experience of Tata internet thru mobile?

yep, ear phones all day! i m on phone for 1.5/2 hrs a day, and i never use the headset directlly. always use the wired headphone. a small hessle to carry around, but if u r in office, then it's a great help, as it keeps ur hands free, and also keep the radiation from the headset away. a headset is strongly recommended, guys, get yourself one, if your use exceeds 20-30 mins a day.

u can just use a new gsk on the phone. the existing number will erase.

yep. i don't think i can trust reliance r-world for transferring my money, or for that matter, even enter my bank account thru them. those great people are still confused about call charges, what help are they going to offer for technical mistakes in money transfer??? for people who think it's useful, pls think twice n if u have no other options, make sure u pray to ur god first.

But won't dual simultaneous network take tax on battery life? in reliance, if u r on low network area, then battery life is affected a lot by constant searching of networks. so for two networks, it'll be double the work, and so wont' the battery life be much less?

How's the battery life/call quality of this phone? can Tata SIM be used? I'll buying this phone on wednesday, so some reviews are requested. also, 1. is there a POP port? coz i need to have handsfree with it. 2. is the handsfree wire bundled or do we have to buy separately? ] 3. if u can accomodate higher capacity battery in the phone, then only the battery life will increase. otherwise no solution.
