Which Reliance Handset Has Best Battery Life
ani_meher replied to TheMafioso's topic in Other handsets
actually i was talking abt the split sim only, ie some sort of sim with two input places for 2 sims. that used to be in gsm. is anything like that available now a days? either gsm or cdma? -

Which Reliance Handset Has Best Battery Life
ani_meher replied to TheMafioso's topic in Other handsets
some time ago, there were some products that enabled u to use 2 simcards in one mobile. u just had to restart the mobile for using the other card. can it be possible today, especially on ruim cards? -
Which Reliance Handset Has Best Battery Life
ani_meher replied to TheMafioso's topic in Other handsets
n2865, not so great in battery life. maybe because of bit larger screen, and no options to tweak the brightness. hardly lasts for more than 2 days, with moderate talktime. n2112 is the best one, followed by n3125(if u r keen on color screen). they'll go for days at a stretch! i think the new LG3000 & soon to be launched 3100 have good battery life, with the 950mAH battery. LG3470 was too good, but it is nowhere to be seen. EDIT: i read that LG3000 has pricetag of ~1500, which makes it a terrific buy. An additional question: can tata sim be used in 2112/3125? i know reliance 2112 (and also 3125?)doesn't have ruim slot, but tata's has. is it possible? -
can the tata sim be used in this handset? n when the 3100 is going to launch?

[WIP] VistaVG Ultimate Skin for Sony Ericsson k700i
ani_meher replied to Vishal Gupta's topic in The Lounge
hope in this year's rimweb annual contest, i win a k700i to check out such cool themes! theme looks nice by screenshots, but no way to test it, as I don't have a k700i. keep up the good work, hope this is ported to n2865! -
mods should make this pinned, i guess. yes, u can just pop in the RIM RUIM to make it work on reliance. if u want R-World, methods are quite complicated. u can't run both Tata & RIM at the SAME time, u have to put respective sim one at a time to use that respective group.
-
dude, thats not 2865, that's 6275. 2865 doesn't have a camera. also, u mean it has 256MB card, n not KB. find out its reviews n user impressions on this site, using search feature.

Intel core 2 duo is anyday better thatn dual core. there are a lot of comparisons on net for this. if price is the concern, then u can even go for AMD 3800 etc dual core processors. even they r better than pentium dual core. -
^^^1255 has lot of ****ty reviews, pls check them before buying it. lg2630 doesnot have RUIM slot.
-
shekh bro, maybe in future, can u offer some handset with basic functionality and dual sim, ie GSM & CDMA? I never have time to play with phone to install new features, or play games etc. so currently not considering any smartphones, and not particularly fond of HTC handsets either. if u can bring some handset with dual sim for abt 8k - 10k, it'd be really great.
-
well, many ppl on the forum stated the same opinion/experience, that N1255 is troublesome. pls post ur experience after some period of use.
-
actually that's the beauty of mobiles, that u can be anywhere, n pretend to be anywhere. i certainly would not want that to be taken away...

Which Handsets Will Work On Both Reliance & Tata?
ani_meher replied to anuragz's topic in The Lounge
LG: not possible to use on both. atleast as easily as nokia. still, as 6250 is RUIM based, u can try whether Tata sim is accepted in it. if it does, good for you, else hard luck. -
Which Handsets Will Work On Both Reliance & Tata?
ani_meher replied to anuragz's topic in The Lounge
yeah? how come the handset that is bought by customer's hard earned money in full becomes the company's asset? RM is not even bundling up mobiles with plans, so that they will be cheaper with say 1 or 2 year contract etc (like verizon, for example). how the hell it is illegal to change anything that I have bought with full payment, as long as I am respecting the copyright? and on nokia models, besides the startup logo n the stulpid r-world, what is there in the cell to show it belongs to RM network? and if a customer wants to have both services, Tata and RM, should he be forced to buy 2 handsets just because the company thinks so? does nokia or any other company even provide any other alternative (like unlocked mobiles)? this is really idiocy. would love to see them sue someone (or someone sue them) and defend these points. -
^^^ huh??? my n2865 allows only 160 letters typing.
-
that's a good news. rim is seriously facing lack of good affordable handsets now.
-
actually movable display is really a very helpful feature for me. it allows u to reach impossible areas, like getting a photo from ground level, or reaching to some impossible spot. if that screen is not movable, u'll have to click the pics by guess only. n movables are very sturdy. my cam screen is not even loose after 2 years in operation.

ya, if u get connected to a *333 in daytime, u might as well consider buying a lottery ticket and hope to win 20 lakhs. the gods must be favouring u that day.

My recommendation: always buy frm offline shops, ie real shops. in case something goes caput, u know whom u should be contacting, unlike online shops where u have to go thru a system. besides, u'll get a better price in heera-panna/lamington road for almost any electronic item than any online shop can offer.
