    Happy birthday Rimweb!! Although, if u think, RIM is now RM, isn't it?
  2. V3i

    If RM is planning to launch this phone, they r out of their minds. When moto is coming out with cdma beauties, why do RM prefers ugly beasts like these?

  5. V3i

    The moto v730 looks yuck. n it seems it is been stopped long ago.
  6. V3i

    wat's d point in getting v3i now, as the new krzr is available? i think the exclusive status of razr is long gone. n the UI is really pain. u can't change the themes without hacking the phone. just a good looking phone, nothing else.
  7. V3i

    Guys, let him be in his dreams. Motorazr v3 cdma @ 6900! ya right. btw did u see motopebl there at 4599? Don't spread baseless rumours.
  8. Lg Rd2750

    Is anyone able to find this handset anywhere? What's the price?
  9. 8 Gb Sony Pen Drive For Just Rs 2950=00

    Also, the write/read speeds are important, especially when the drive capacity is high. A transcend v series 1gb drive costs around 1k, where as jetflash 120/130 etc cost around 1.5k for 1gb because of the difference in writing speed. v series writing speed is 2mbps, whereas the other has speed of 8mbps. so u may want to keep this in mind as well. Remember, if any deal or anything sounds too good to be true, then it just might as well be.
  10. All About Nokia 6265

    This is the main thing to keep in mind. Like in automobiles, you should always keep in mind the quality of after sales service before buying a handset. Nokias are good all right, but their service center s**ks. LGs is good, and personally I prefer Motorola. That's why I won't go for any Nokia phone, because 15 days (or eve 5 days) for servicing a premium handset is not at all justifiable.
  11. 8 Gb Sony Pen Drive For Just Rs 2950=00

    N nowadays most of the China pendrives are labeled as SONY. So take extra precautions.
  12. Dual Core Or P4

    I heard AMDs have some heat problem, ie they heat up a lot. AMD Prices are most of the times cheaper than intel. Can anyone point out why exactly is this difference?
  13. from India First to Launch 'Motofone' http://www.techtree.com/India/News/India_F...-77515-615.html Techtree News Staff Nov 29, 2006 At an event in New Delhi yesterday, Motorola announced the global availability of its "Motofone". This makes India the first market globally to launch the "Motofone". The company said that Indian consumers would be the first ones to own this game-changing handset, which is set to redefine the mobile phone market place, and strengthen Motorola's drive to connect the next billion mobile phone users. Based on Motorola's evolutionary new SCPL design platform, Motofone is the first of a new breed of handsets designed to disrupt today's communications landscape by cutting across price tiers, product segments, and international markets. On this occasion, Ron Garriques, President of Mobile Devices, Motorola, said, "In the weeks and months to come, consumers from around the world will enjoy the benefit of the technological innovations packed into Motofone. The global launch marks a major milestone as Motorola continues its drive to connect the next billion mobile phone users." Adding to it, Allen Burnes, Corporate Vice President of Mobile Devices, Motorola, said, "Innovatively designed to meet the needs and tastes of consumers such as those right here in India, 'Motofone' is a signature handset that specifically addresses the universal desire for connectivity. The phone has been designed specifically for the Indian market and will be produced by our unit here." Touted as Motorola's thinnest phone yet - at approximately 9mm, "Motofone" offers an intuitive interface, complete with icons and voice versus text. And by using images, the device makes it simpler for first-time users to navigate, call, and retrieve messages. "Motofone" also features the new ClearVision display, with revolutionary Electrophoretic Display (EPD) technology to provide users with a large, high-contrast screen that is viewable even in bright sunlight. Specifically for the Indian market, Motorola is further enhancing the "Motofone" experience by offering voice prompts in seven local languages such as Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bengali. The company claims that this feature is a first in the mobile category. Burnes said that the GSM version, Motofone F3, would be available with a bundled offer from BSNL at a price of Rs 1,650. The new user would also get free talk-time worth Rs 150 every month for the next three years under the offer with BSNL. Meanwhile, Motorola is in talks with other GSM operators like Airtel and Idea, and expects to come out with similar price packages for the phone. The company is also working towards shipping the CDMA version, Motofone F3c, by the end of this year. ________________________________________________________________________________________ By this offer, BSNL is giving 150*36=5400 rs talktime! How is this possible? If this offer is true, then I am going for it. Also, it mentions F3c, the cdma version of this phone. If this comes to Reliance, LG's a$$ is going to be kicked badly. I had the Motorola c131, n that piece is still in use after about 3 years! For me, Motorola service is always been better than LG. And better not to speak about Nokia's service! I hope this phone makes it to Reliance, or to Tata with T-sim.

  16. Gamers Den--->xbox 360

    I think around 24000. Nintendo Wii seems good. But whether the funky controller remains fun in the long run, that's the question. I mean, swinging your controller to play tennis, and sword fight sure sounds fun, but I don't know whether after returning from a hectic day, I'd want to do all the swinging and stuff. And PS3 is too costly, and receiving heavy criticism from all over.
  17. Gamers Den--->xbox 360

    I am not that keen on graphics, than on gameplay. From the reviews, the PS2 library has quite a lot of games with great gameplay. Not that xbox doesn't have it, bu i m not an avid gamer to spend 5 digits on xbox. I am planning to go for ps2. what price should i expect for a ps2 with modchip in mumbai? also, modchip voids the warranty, right?
  18. Nokia 6225 Ruim Version For Sale...

    There is indeed no such thing that new members can't sell or anything. THis is a public forum, and you can't be restricted by anyone other that mods. What's the price u r selling? BTW, does anyone what's the current market price? As the new 2685 with bluetooth n 262K screen is selling at 6250, this should be costing around 5-5.5k max. So it's 50% is 2.5-3k And as khs123 asked, what about the warranty n service?
  19. Nokia 6225 Ruim Version For Sale...

    How come there is sudden increase in threads selling 6225 at discounted price, that too by newly joined members? BTW, 6225 looks too dated.
  20. Wipro Chief Premji Sued Over 'dating Allowance' !

    Date with ur wife?? what for, u have got her! OK, that's a debatable thing, let's not get into it. Anyways, even though he would be getting dating allowance for dating his own wife, i hope no one is expecting wipro officials to actually go n check with whom he is spending his allowance on, or whether the date is his wife or someone else. We are slowly turning into America, where responsibilities are pushed on others, and a spill of coffee by ur own mistake can earn u millions.
  21. New Nokia 2865 Cdma

    How's the battery life? Come on guys, it's high time that someone should post the review.
  22. Wipro Chief Premji Sued Over 'dating Allowance' !

    Come on.... this is really cheap trick of that wife. As if the husband would not have done so if there were no such allowance! BTW, I am sure there would be some rule like if u r married, u r exempted from the dating allowance benefit!
  23. I have installed PCLinuxOS on my pc, just for learning. Great os, system up and running in 15 mins. But I am not able to get the sify broadband to work yet. I have downloaded the sify client for linux, and it showed me the client is out of date, and pls update it. I read somewhere on the net, that u need to inform sify about this, and then they allow ur IP/allocate u an IP so that the old client can be used to login. when i called up the sify CC, they gave me this URL for downloading latest client for linux: http://202.144.65.70:8090/ But it is not getting connected at all! Can someone pls help me in this matter? If you have the latest dialer, pls upload it somewhere, or guide me the alternate procedure.
  24. Sify Client In Linux?

    I got the internet working. You need to tell sify to enalbe logging in from Linux for your username, then they allow your IP and mac address to access the internet even with an old version of the client. And thanks, linuxguy. u r right about $ & #.
  25. I read she was planning to adopt an Indian baby? So how many of us have already given their names in the list
