Pls write a small review. That will be very helpful to many to decide whether to go for it.

The test phone shown in the pdfs definately matches the chocolate profiles! RD8000: LG Chocolate phone What say you??? @doc_anurag It doesn't seem to have the round wheel. And it really shouldn't, IMHO, the rectangle looks much better than that round wheel.

@albatross81 I am sure you haven't gone through the saga of waiting for Nokia 6265!
-
@Dhiraj M Memory can't be extended in 2865.

Regarding camera, in menu, there is only one option named 'Camera', so can't be sure whether video recording is supported, though it should. New features from the user's guide: . 1 minute alert tone in call to know the running call-meter . MP3 and Voice recorder . D-day finder . Changing dialing font size, color n style . Powersave feature (u can enable/disable it, don't know what is it) . Individual locking like outgoing, Rworld, contacts, message, call history . My phone number . Reserved message to be sent on particular date . changing text color n background for message display and ofcourse . Bluetooth Good additions!

Is it just me, or does the LG8000 resembles Chocolate phone?!

Pls update us with the battery backup, n if possible, a small usage review.....

wow, looks like LG 8000 is a slider! cool.....maybe i should wait more. The Nokia Service center in mumbai is pathetic. Atleast the LG one is good.

Instead of using nightly plugin, just add a boolean integer to your about:config page named local_install.extensions.checkCompatibility with value FALSE. and extensions.checkCompatibility with value FALSE

LG RD6000 was same as international VX6000. But vx8000 differs a lot than the stated features of this 8000!

There is an extremely stupid restriction in the current offer of free talktime. If you buy new LG 2xxx or Nokia 1255, you get Rs.1700 and 2000 on net talktime free respectively, with each new connection. But they have this weird lock-in period. You cannot change your handset in next 6 months. You have to use that number on that cell only. My friend wanted to exchange his Moto c131, so we went to a WW. There, I asked her why can't I just swap the numbers between the two handsets? I am buying a new connection with a new cell, so that criteria is met. Then who the hell is reliance to force me to use only that number on that new cell? Ideally I should be able to transfer any number to that phone, as well as transfer that number to any cell. But I think it is useless to put the words Reliance and Logic in a sentence. I was planning to get some high end nokia (actually was waiting for 6275 and likes), but as Reliance wants to dictate the terms even after buying that handset, I don't think Reliance deserves more than 2-4 thousands to be invested in it. What do you think?

Anyone got this handset's price? I am seriously considering buying this handset from Tata, if it is working on Reliance as well using the RUIM. Can anyone please confirm this?

But by default, if I am NOT on the member ship plan, it indicates i m on pay per use plan. And as far as I remember, it is 3Rs per session for accessing membership area by a non-member. So the 25Rs is still not justifiable. And how can they just preactivate the membership on any new connection either?

Damn u r right! A good basic set. With 12MB memory, not much can be done. And I really wonder how a 1.8cm thick phone can be touted as a slim phone! I think even the flip phone 2855 has same features. My hopes of seeing some high-end sets like 6275i are increased now. I really can't wait for that day when I see the topic title 'New nokia 6275'. And I hope it won't be priced way out of reach. Anyone knows the price of this set? It should be priced on par with the 6235. Lastly, is the Tata's mobile using RUIM?
-
how is this happening? If at all the mobile is for selected few people, how the number gets out of the trusted circle, if it is not listed in RIM directory? All the best for your problem. Don't worry, we will help in whatever way we can.

No need for 3 HCC and one empty mobile. U can do with 2 HCC only. enter the HCCs on each handset, and then do the process on alternate handsets. Is the LG mobile bought from that 2000 ka free talktime? if yes, they have a 6 months lock in period, so u can't change the number.

MOTO c131 - Jan 2004 till now (my friend is using it) LG 2230 - March 2005 LG 6130 - August 2005 Kyocera 7135 - Jan 2006, lying dead with me. strange problem, no SRCP, but phone is not switching on, and battery is not charging. Any help? LG 2650 - April 2006 Nokia 2112 - Sep. 2006

Yes, even I would suggest deleting the name from R Dir. You can do it from an RWorld enabled mobile. I am not sure whether u can do it, as 2230 doesn't support RWorld, n not sure whether u can delete other number from RDir from a mobile except its own number. If not, approach WW.

Can u give such offer with Nokias? I think I can find 10 or above ppl for RIM nokia phones.

There is one software SUPER. Really great piece of software, converts anything to anything (even FLV files).

I am actually quite sceptic about these RC versions. not because I hate FF, it is my primary browser, but how many betas n RCs are gonna be there? I don't remember the number of betas, but first there was an RC of RC1, then there was RC1, then now RC2, next is RC3......come on, fix a big number of bugs in one release only, n not squat a few in each RC! (The main reason behind this is, somehow my FF installation is changed, so I can't download the few kb update, n i have to download the hefty 4.7mb file. that's why i m waiting for FF 2).

No motorazr on Reliance. Motorola has tie up with Tata, no such news about Reliance.
