I saw a BIG ad in today's newspaper (mostly DNA) of motorazr CDMA. Alas, it was of Tata indicom, saying that Motorazr is soon coming to their network.
-
Hey, there is only one CDMA Raze, it is V3c, whereas the news states that 2 CDMA models are there, V3 & V3i, both are actually GSM!

Why I Won't Go For The Razr Cdma Or Rather Any High Priced Handset For That Matter.
ani_meher replied to gids's topic in Motorola
Damn you gids! I was almost converted till you pulled me back! But really, very good writeup. Even I don't feel that RIM is worth investing so much money. As for 7135, we are selling in the same boat, buddy. Even my 7135 is in Coma. I am still not keen on shifting to GSM, as RIM coverage is fine for me, but I doubt whether investing 5 digit money on a single handset which has to be used on RIM only will be a good idea. Besides, Razr, though having good features, don't entice me much as the planned Nokia 6275i etc (but hey, going by 6265 launch plans, the future phones from Nokia will be doubtful). My current LG 6130 is going strong. In next update which is quite far away, I'll be needing bluetooth. So if any good Nokia handsets are not launched by then, then mostly I'll go by Motorazr. But hey, no one can deny, this is the most beautiful piece that has ever come to reliance (barring the LG6000). If you plan to be on RIM forever, and don't give reselling cost a damn, then go for it. Else, hold your horses, as even in RIM, the resell value of Nokia will be anyday greater than Moto or LG in the same price range. -
Ya, it will be a 'skin' on the 2330 chip. I think LG should conduct a competition of school children for desigining next 2790.
-
I hope it won't be a like 6265. I'd really like to get my hands on this phone. Hey, it doesn't seem to have expandable memory. Not that I want it, but just an observation. Also, it is based on BREW. Is the R-World any good on BREW now a days? Here are the specs of this phone, taken from basant_jp's post in other thread: - EVDO high speed data access - Video clip capture and playback : MPEG4 (15 fps) - 1.3 megapixel digital camera : with 4x digital zoom - 72 polyphonic sound engine - Picture and video messaging¹ - Integrated Speakerphone - MMS¹ (Picture / photo + text + sound), SMS, EMS¹ 5.0 - PIM functionality - Advanced speech recognition - Bluetooth® wireless technology enabled : connectivity Class 2 - Bands : CDMA 1X and EVDO with aGPS 800/1900 - Standby Time² : up to approximately 200 hours -Talk Time : up to approximately 188 minutes - BREW : 3.1 - Connectivity : Mini-USB - WAP : 2.0 - Internal Memory7 : up to 30MB of available end user memory - Form Factor : Clamshell - Dimensions (H x W x D) : 53 x 98 x 14.5 mm - Weight : 99 g - External Display : 96 x 80 CSTN display - Internal Display : 176 x 220 TFT color display

Need 10 Reliance Handset Change Cards(hcc) At The Earliest
ani_meher replied to schumi's topic in Technical / OS related
If u need the cards because they are not in stock n selling in black, then just contact Chairman office. By evening, the webworld near you will be having a stock of HCC. Speaking from experience. -
why do u need to log in for downloading drivers? which driver do u need? if u need LG drivers, u can get it from http://www.lgmobiles.com/

Motorola has announced two CDMA phones, planned for Q3-Q4 2006. In the details of the phone, it is mentioned that both the phones support Hindi language, so they are mostly coming to India, though not sure whether they come to Reliance. Both have FM, but no bluetooth. Motorola 710 Motorola 210 For more info: http://www.mobilewhack.com/reviews/motorol...cell_phone.html http://www.mobilewhack.com/reviews/motorol...affordable.html
-
These are planned phones for 4Q, so no launch date announced.
-
Damnit. I hope this does not mean that the planned 6275 etc bunch is cancelled.
-
Ya, the plan is good. I just wish their service would be as good as the plan, but sadly, it isn't. I am usually unsuccessful to call any Tata number between 6:30pm to 10pm (ie in peak hrs) atleast in peak hrs. You can have tata as alternate connection, but can't have that as a major one, you never know which calls are going to be missed.
-
Ya, but it also mentions about ATMs. I am sure many of us just can't part with the ATM facility.
-
Atleast in the attached picture, it looks yuck!
-
I think he meant LG 6230, coz LG61230's headset is one sided, and for 7135, u need 2 eared headset. Mostlye 6230 will be having it, as it is 'jukebox' phone n all.
-
So one more skin on 2340? Just what we wanted.
-
@Emmanuel: Make sure you kick your "reliable source's" a$$ for making a fool of you. There was a time when ppl were talking abt launch of 6600 in RIM! ya right. And while we r at it, my reliable source tells me there is a simple chip coming in RIM that can be used on any GSM phone like simcard
-
Go to Handset model link on that page, 3 handsets are listed there.

Does Changing D Motherboard Need D Reinstallation Of Os?
ani_meher replied to drali's topic in General Technical Discussion
I guess yes, it is always safer to reinstall the two OSes, as the drivers of MB, onboard sound/graphics, USB etc will be reinstalled with new MB. If there is some error in installing the new drivers (and most probably there will be, given the 'reliability' of windows, machine will be in bad shape and you'll have to format it anyways. SO better to have a clean machine with new MB. My 2 cents. -
Did u read this??? Tata Teleservices Limited is launching 60X365 Offer exclusively on Wideo. Under this offer, a subscriber who purchases a Wideo will enjoy 60 minutes of local / STD calls free every day for a period of one year to any network. Does anyone know about this offer? The phone is quoting at 22,000 Even if Reliance do launch such handset, I am not sure I'd invest so much in a handset with no extendable memory and no bluetooth/ir.
-
Why not? LG6000 was quoting at 10000, and the sells were quite good. If I were to buy a good looking handset today, I'd go for this for simply good looks. But yes, in future, MotoRazr will give it a tough competition. (can't say about N6265, Nokia has a long habit of disappointing the public after showing cute photos - remember 6255, 2255?)
-
what's the price?
-
I'd say that not just about the phone manufacturer only, but the service provider as well that gives us no exit point at all. Think many times before investing good amount of money in RIM.
-
ya, 60 hrs is too less. I m sure that when the 440 card was on, many of the members (myself included) have crossed the 60 hrs time in few months only.
-
so one more speculation date ) )

About time!
