I had bought a SDCard from JJ Mehta. I found them to be quite reliable. Atleast don't look like jhol- makers. They have a shop next to Ideal Book shop, just outside Dadar station. I bought the memory around 1 year back, so the shop is no new either. Regarding duties paid, guarantee issues etc, I don't know, inquire yourself before buying.

But reliance is already having one of the - if not THE - costliest SMS charges (regular ones, not talking abt the 180 card). How much further will it increase???
-
Seems good. My requirements for next phone are mp3 ringtones, bluetooth n good battery. seems these phones are fitting into that bill perfectly!

buddy, i m not targetting anyone. I m just saying, that do not believe such news about 6600 coming to RIM. It's become an urban legand now. It is not in Reliance's hands to launch 6600, because for that matter Nokia first has to develop 6600 for CDMA technology. Reliance is only providor, not manufacturer of any mobile. In short, no 6600 in RIM ever. Let's wait for some descent handset together

That's a great news! For more info: http://www.mobileburn.com/gallery.jsp?Page=1&Id=1604 http://reviews.cnet.com/Motorola_Razr_V3c/...-2.html?tag=nav But I don't expect it to be cheap. It will be around 15000-20000. If it is around 10000, then I'll be amongst the first one to jump on it.

Ppl, there is NO 6600 in CDMA. If it was to be launched, it would be a big news all over the world, the first series 60 CDMA phone. A nokia CDMA with series 60 is in the line, but it's very far from production yet. So pls, don't believe fools at RWorld that 6600 is going to be launched. Maybe they are just cashing on the popularity of 6600.
-
Actually I am getting bit irritated by yet another prediction, yet another post demanding the proof of that prediction, and yet another post of desperation. Last atleast 10-20 posts contain nothing except theses points.
-
Just clicking on R-World won't cut 3 Rs. If u use any feature of R world not marked as F, then only you'll be charged. And I don't think you can remove that icon.
-
12K will not be the price, as it will compete with the brick N6255. They have to price it higher. And since when Reliance has started to price the handsets reasonably?
-
Rs.1599, as claimed in many hoardings in Mumbai.
-
Ummm, can u pls rotate them so that it can be readable? also, first image is bit small to read the left hand page.

I think we had a thread on laptops... try searching it. Also, the mods may want to merge the two threads.

OK, so one more careless customer trapped! If your friend would've bothered to check even once about nokiaind on the net, he/she would have not been cheated. Welcome to Kalyug.

Hey.. I thought call waiting was long disabled. We even had a nice anger busting thread here. Is it started again? How come I can't use this method on my LG 6130. Or is it limited to 6255 users?

Pune Plans To Be World's First 'wirefree' City
ani_meher replied to vmsanghrajka's topic in The Lounge
Exactly the same thought occured to me. Take care of the basic amenities like roads, power etc first. Especially the roads (are there any roads left in Pune now?) I stayed in Pune for 2 years, n watched how the University road n others descended from being a class road to a country road. N better not to say anything about the traffic rules. The wi-fi city will go nowhere without basic infrastructure. Still, a good initiative. -
Great videos! Good thing is, u can download them as well, without any jhols!

LG is now becoming like Winamp. So many skins on the basic 2340 interior! If someone spots any different feature in 2340, 2430,2530,2630 and this 2650, pls let us know!
-
That's right, Kesav buddy. No use of drooling over handsets that are yet to launch in US. It may take ages to come here, if at all it comes.
-
Hey it's good. No frills set with good features. Even though MP3 is not there, atleast FM is present. And Bluetooth n 262K screen minus the camera are perfect for many office goers who have camera phone blocked. Edit: just saw it is listed on the Nokia Asia site, n not Nokia India. Only 3 phones are upcoming in India, 1255, 2355, 6155.

8-10 songs in 10 MB??? what would be the quality then?
-
The handset is undoubtedly cool. The people who are willing to stay with Reliance forever surely go ahead and buy it. Just keep in mind some points about the cost of ownership. If in future (may be 1-2 years), you wish to move to GSM, then you have to sell the phone to someone. What should be the price that will justify your cost of ownership. As for me, I am passing this over, as I am much more comfortable with different gadgets for different purposes. A series 60 phone or a moto razr (if at all it is launched) may change this opinion, but this beauty doesn't. But those who are willing to stay with RIM for fairly long period, and are prepared to visit Nokia SC (I am not saying it will be unreliable or anything, just that I have usually experienced that more features tends to more risk of error), your paradise is arriving very soon!

Call waiting is disabled long back. I believe we have a seperate thread for that. About call conferencing, I remember reading something on the forum. Either search by yourself, or wait for someone to answer.

MP3, Bluetooth, IR don't seem to be present. Featurewise, it is similar to LG 6130, with Airplane mode and BREW platform (not again!). Be prepared to welcome yet another LG phone, with all new body and hell lot of useless features. Damn, when will RIM learn!
-
It is already launched. My friend bought it 2 days back. it's bit heavy than 2330, you can feel the weight. It's so pathetic to see RIM selling the same LG model with different panels shamelessly. After 2340 (the R-World addition in 2330), there is absolutely nothing new in 2430, 2530 and next 2630, except the body. If you see the 2630 next to 6130, u can easily spot the design similarity in both. Reliance must be getting heavy profit by LG, and that's why it is selling the sets that would be best priced at most 800-900. I think RIM and LG had secretely organised some children's competition of 'my mobile phone', and just bringing out the phones based on winning entries.

Before investing big bucks on a Reliance phone, I'd like to point 1 thing I have learnt about Reliance (also shared by Ramchi and gids, I suppose). Never invest too much on handsets, so that you'll be stuck forever with Reliance. Now how much is 'too much', depends on you.
