I'll add to that. Initially I was trying every cool app on my phone. But then, after few mismatches, the phone would hang seriously, and lead to hang==hard reset. Now I have made a folder, in which I have kept only those softwares which I know are reliable as well as useful to me. The backup buddy is very helpful software, and so is the Crash. make sure you have them. then proceed to have fun.

What do you mean you are not getting past the graffiti? the screen that says put the styles here and here etc doesn't go away? there seems to be a problem to your screen. I remember faintly reading about it on some different forum. Pls search google, that's how I got that link. I'll try searching that link for you.

Ya, I figured that part out myself. but I am totally ignorant about dynamic HTML. Can you pls give/upload the code to display the last shutdown time, and system start time? If possible, maybe a small HTML file? I can edit that file later, but I don't know anything about DHTML. I can edit that file later, I know HTML. Pls help. -

Bhai, how much clear would it get? It won't work on 7135.

Iceman, the Jyotisha software is not working, pls look into it. For listening to mp3s of 190 bitrate, use an overclocking utility named afterburner, and don't overclock the whole unit everytime. Only set the speed at 37Hz (original is 33Hz) for bebopper. It will work. Bebopper has a new version, which lets us control whole software by hardware buttons. Does anyone have it? I am still to find a decent alarm for this clock. Currently using the BeeOnTime. I am unable to get the vibrating hack to work. Any pointers for that?

What's This Wallpaper Showing System Uptime?

There was no widget running. Mostly it was the dynamic HTML thing. Can someone guide me how to go about it? I want to display the last shutdown, and system on time. I don't need to show the uptime, as it will be calculating it again and again ( i guess). Anyone, pls help. -

The contact is easy to guess. The chairman's office! Write to the chairman office, from Relianceinfo.com website, with following text: Dear Mr.Ambani AKA Indian Santa Clause, I promise to be a good boy/girl for all the year. I promise I'll not write anything bad about RIM on rimweb. I promise I'll put the blame on others of whatever bad I've written till date about RIM. I promise I'll be a good father, husband, son, and customer. I promise.... heck, let's get directly to the point. PLS PLS PLS SEND ME A 7135 FOR LESS THAN 7999. Who knows, you can get your wish fulfilled. -

I saw few 7135s on ebay selling as high as 15,000! That's the height! 100% profit. And here, people will soon start expecting to buy one even for less than the original 8000 price. Sigh. -
Is Threre Any Chance Of 7135 Cost Getting Reduced ?
ani_meher replied to ssr's topic in Other handsets
There is NO warranty on the handset. The handsets are good, unused. But that's it. No warranty whatsoever. Iceman is really selling at the bottom price. If you expect further fall, pls contact Mr. Ambani. He alone can get you pieces cheaper than this, no one else can. -
Thanks Iceman. Will check that out. Is there any software that enables to have profiles, like on usual cell phones? There is such software for palm os 5, but I couldn't find anything for v4. Also, Iceman, Ashoksoft, the disconnect problem is solved? Any more tricks? Any updates on the network checking times?

Hey guys, are there any panchanga displaying,ie indian astrology softwares?
-
One very basic question. how do you upload the ringtones to the phone? I have added it to the hotsync and transferred to phone, but couldn't find it later.
-
Even I have noticed just today morning only, that I can't disconnect the incoming call. Does it have to do with the tweak, maybe? but even if it is, i don't care much, because the increase in reception is too good. For accelerating (not OVERCLOCKING), have a look at Quickbits. It is not a overclocking utility, it just speeds things up. Reported to work fine on 7135. For overclocking, Afterburner is supposed to be good for 7135. I don't plan it to use for overclocking, but for underclocking. I don't need the PDA to run fast when I am in office, in order to save the battery for travel time. Any inputs? BTW, the USB data cable exists here. But it is not charging the phone. I read somewhere, that a USB charging data cable exists for this phone. Pls guys, look into this.

U can get it for 10k, but no one gets warranty. For warranty, you will have to pay plus Rs.25,000, ie original price. -
I found this from another site. Can some techie pls throw some light on it? __________________________________________________________________________ Although we've had this feature all along, it wasn't until I decided to read the 7135's Service Programming Guide that I realized that we all have a programming option which SHOULD help extend battery life! If you go to the programming menu (dial 1 1 1 1 1 1, then select "Options", then "Programming"), you will be in phone programming mode. At the bottom you'll see a button labeled "More". After tapping that button, tap on the drop down menu at the EXTREME top right of the screen, then select "General". On the "General Settings" screen, you will see an option labeled "Slot Cycle Index". According to the 7135 Service Programming Guide, that parameter specifies how often the phone checks the "paging channel" of your carrier. Valid values are 0-7: 0=1.28 seconds 1=2.56 " 2=5.12 " 3=10.24 " 4=20 " 5=40.96 " 6=81.92 " 7=163.84 " The higher the value of the slot cycle index, the LESS FREQUENTLY the phone checks the paging channel. As a result, CDMA STANDBY TIME is IMPROVED. And as a result, battery. FYI I've done a FEW TESTS with incoming and outgoing calls, PLUS SMS messages ... and SO FAR, I HAVE NOT seen ANY DECREASE in phone responsiveness. HOWEVER ... I do live in a major city. SO ... changing the slot cycle for me probably doesn't have a big impact on service. BUT ... in fringe areas, upping the slot cycle value COULD result in your moving into a roaming area without your knowing it (especially if you're traveling, and the phone hasn't checked the paging channel). ______________________________________________________________________________________ Ashok, Iceman, can you look into it? Any answers to my USB Data cable question? Did anyone use any overclocking utility? I am planning to overclock the utilities in morning and evenings, while travelling, and underclock in day, so as to get more battery life from the cell.

ROFL, the biggest goof up! Ha ha ha.... -
This is really a cute piece. In fact, I was hpoing to have this handset as my next one, but I got a 7135 instead. I am still recommending the non-techie users of RIM, to wait for this handset before upgrading from present one to any other mobile.
