Hey, that 6230 looks neat! And atleast for me, 256 MB is enough for carrying daily stock of MP3s. On an average of 5MB per mp3, it will carry atleast 40-50 songs. not at all bad, if it comes in the range of 7000-8000Rs. Max 9000. Also, 32 poly ringtones! now that's an update.

MMS portal IS charged as 3Rs per MMS sent. As of today, no method is available to send either SMS or MMS by any sync software. One good thing is, I once uploaded a 300kb wav file on the handset, using the mms portal (in the good old free days). It didn't sounded much good, but still, it proved that 300KB ringtone upload is possible.

The email thing doesn't work for me anymore. Most probably it won't work for you also. Try something else.

Or, it can be the other way also. When I have to send something to a group of people, but I am not willing to let them know to whom else I've sent that mail, I usually do this. I just write my mail id in the To: box, and then in BCC:, I write the mail id of the people. When they receive the mail, they see the recepient as well as the sender's id as mine only, as all other ids are BCC. Your mail may fall in this catagory also.

It's weight is very impressive. What's the weight of Samsung slim. I guess it's around 70-80 grams. so this handset is very light. 50 Wallpapers possible! wow, that's good. 32 chord polyphonic ringtone sounds good. hope the speaker is loud too. Also, what is 'ringtones downloadable by brew'? Does it mean by R-World? If this mobile is placed at 4000-5000 slot, then it should be a very good buy.

Is the update really worth it? My handset version is 9. But I am not yet upgrading it, because the phone's performance is so far satisfactory, I don't need the SMS to group option, and lastly, I've a good collection of ringtones & pics, for which I'll have to pay good amount to the MMS portal to get them back. Those guys who have upgraded, can u give any reason to do so? Any new menu R-World comes up or something like that?

I have a digilife DDV 7000 handicam. It's really good. It's 3.2MP cam with video shooting at 640 x 480 @30fps in MPEG4 format.(actually xvid). SO the video takes a lot lesser space than usual. My 512 MB card can take around 30/40 mins of high quality video, around 1 hr of medium quality video, and around 2 hrs of TV quality video. It has mp3 player sound recorder. It doesn't have optical zoom. But I guess in 8500, its really a good deal. I have a question. The SD card I've bought is a high speed (66X) one, so that the video recording will be smooth. But suppose I run out of space on that card, in some remote areas, then what? My plan is to get either an MMC card and card reader or, some cheap flash MP3 player around 2000, and then I'll be able to transfer the pics/vids from my sd card to that mmc card. The SD card was 3500 for 512 MB a few months back, so I can't afford one more such card. I need some backup device. What do you think, an mmc with card reader or an mp3 player? Also, is there any way to transfer files on the cards without using computer at all?

Can someone please help me this software, "Photogenetics 2.0"? It is basically a software that improves the pics just by clicks. I know photoshop is a powerful tool and all, but this software is really very easy and damn good. After trying very hard, i'm able to get demo version of v1.06. Calling all techies... can you find this software?

If only I'd have asked him whether he was going to the rimweb meet when he met me on the bus stop, I'd have got down at the correct stop, and wouldn't have to pay fine of 14 Rs and have a 10 mins walk backwards. Thank goodness it started working again. I haven't updated my 6130 version because of fear of losing the tones. hey Chirag, do you have any idea whether the ringtones/pics can be saved while upgrading the version in the Service center? Like Address book, do they provide backup for tones also?
