According to news, Mumbai n Maharashtra are one circle now for all mobiles. My mobile is of Pune i.e. Maharashtra circle, so for dialling from Mumbai, I had to add 0 before it, i.e STD call. From today, I can dial the number from Mumbai without having to add 0, that is I can make a local call to that mobile. But when I call any Mumbai Reliance cell from my Pune cell ( I have a 440 card) my 80ps are cut, which means I am in roaming! Also, 1.79 is cut everytime I receive a call, even afer the call is made local in Mumbai. So can someone pls explain what the heck is this policy? Good GSK numbers are hard to find in Mumbai, and as I have shifted from Pune to Mumbai forever, I want to keep my old cell number without having to pay the roaming charges in Mumbai. Is that possible by any chance? Can reliance provide me similar number in Mumbai circle?

Hi, Yes, I am getting the problem everywhere with all calls to any provider. Also, there is no plastic cover and the speaker volume is set to minimum. Still, the screeching sound continues. I'll show the handset in the Thane LG center in Thane on Tues. If they don't do the job, I'll go to the lower parel center.

I want to buy Lg slim in Pune where I can get it at Rs 2000/- or less I am getting 2230 in rs 1900/- so how is 2230 compare to lg slim? I dont want any fancy features which one is good one in above two rely asap I want to bue t/moroww Pls dont recommend Samsung slim

I know u guys are kinda bored to answer this types of questions, but seriously,Reliance is taking too long to launch any new mobile. The Nokia 6255 is in the labs for ages now. No new model from Samsung and LG too, save for the untold 5330. Are there any new mobiles launching soon at all? Because I have to buy one reliance mobile in a few weeks, and compulsorily before this month ends. I have settled on 6130, but I can't get my eyes off the Nokia 6255. Will it be under or above 10K? Will it be supporting R-World? What's the expected date of launch? And one more important thing. I am in Mumbai, and the current available numbers of GSK are almost random numbers. Can someone provide me some cool, easy to remember number? I am ready to pay more than the usual price of GSK, if necessary. I request Munnamobile and other dealers of RIM to pls PM me if they have some interesting number. Lastly, what's ur advice? Should I go for 6130 or should I wait for a few more days? And just for the curiosity, has LG6000 started showing all R-World content?

Yesterday I went to a shop with my friend to buy a Samsung slim. There the shop-owner was selling this 2330 ar Rs 2000. Frankly, it looked much better than Slim. He didn't show me the working piece, the piece he showed me was OFF. Hope it's display is good, unlike Slim, which shows only 2 lines of SMS at a time. Also, possibility of downloading ringtones and pictures by SMS makes it a good buy. And, quite contrary to the comment above, the cell DOES look seem as same, if not a bit smaller in size, as the Slim. Overall, I think its a good cell, and if ur budget is tight, then u can seriously consider this cell in place of Slim.

But having used RIM prepaid from the month of it's launch, and keeping track of Reliance's fine prints in their offers (the newest 1 i remember is that to free double talktime is valid only for 31 days, not mentioned in ads prominently), I prefer being a newbie and have everything cleared, than to assume and then be cheated. Hey, that's a whole sentence!

Hey, they should have added web mail to monthly service rather than charging it on each use. Also, methiks it would be great if they come up with some Top Up cards for R-World with full...er...'talktime', or rather full money usable, because using precious talktime on R-World is quite costly. And when I pay 25Rs, I get ALL THE 65 SERVICES free, right?

Can Hindi SMS sent by this phone be recieved well in other Hindi supporting GSM phones like Nokia 1100 or 3200? can samsung slim mobile display the Hindi SMS sent by this mobile?

Reliance, who used to storm market in last year after every few months or so, seems to be lying low for last few months. With no announcements of any new plans, launches of any new handsets, or for that sake, anything new, other than additions and improvements like the Rs440 card and double talk-time. I mean, are there any new schemes and phones coming or what? Any inside scoop?

In the post about reliance massive expansion, I didn't see Maharashtra anywhere. Is it there? And I read that Mukesh is given the ownership of RIM. Any news?

Hi I don't know whether the 6000 has speakerphone or not. But if it's same as vx6000, then people have found a trick to make the speakerphone work. Sharing it with u... ____________________________________________________________________ Step by step guide: 1. Menu > 8 > 3 > New > Record a Memo > Done 2. End > Camera Button > 3 > Move down to Sound, Press Ok 3. Voice Memo > Choose The Voice Memo > Press Ok 4. End > 1 > Camera Button > 6 > Press Ok on the saved Pix 5. Options > Move down to Save Sound > Rename File to whatever > Ok 6. End > Contacts > Find a contact that you have access to use their phone to call you > Edit Button > Move to the Ringer Selection > Change Ringer to what you saved the Sound to in Step 5 7. End > Press and hold * . That will give you Manner Mode, Do it one more time for Silence All 8. Use the phone from the contact you set, to call you while your phone is in silence all mode. Let it ring, but dont answer your phone. > Hang up after a few seconds that your phone should be ringing (After the caller ID Pops up). 9. Take your phone out of Silence All Mode by holding down *. 10. Make a phone call!! Test it out by dialing your voice mail... It will then go through your top speaker instead of your ear piece!!! Few Notes: If someone calls you after you do all this, you will not be able to use the speaker phone, and will have to repeat all the steps... I found that it is a LOT Easier if you set your default ringer to maybe a voice ringer that you make with maybe recorded music.. you can do that by holding your phone up to a speaker playing music or whatever, while you are recording that memo, and just following the steps 1 - 5... And just keep your phone on silence all, and when someone calls, don't answer, and just call them back with your new LG Speaker Phone!! : ) ALSO****** Be very careful.. after a few times of use with the speaker phone, it doesn't want to kick off the speaker, so you have to play a ringtone to turn it off so you dont run down your speaker.... Then just repeat those steps above, but just steps 6 - 10 since you already have that voice memo recorded.... Ani here. I am planning to buy either LG6130 or 6000. The price difference doesn't matter much. But I am looking for a fairly strong phone, with good R-World, and good battery. I have read both the 6130 and 6000 posts, and so, I need ur help to choose between these 2. 1.Is there a speaker phone in 6000 as in 6130? How is it? 2.Does 6000 has the click-n-send feature of 6130? 3.How's the durability of the phone. i am a regular traveler of Mumbai locals, so will 6000 of 6130 be too fragile for that? 4.Is there any difference in camera, apart from flash? Also, is the flash really useful in 6130? 5.In terms of ringtones (default or downloaded), which one has mose sound? 6.How many pics can be saved at the highest resolution in both the phones? 7.Which one has better games? 8.6000 doesn't have Hindi. Does it matter much? Can it receive native mms? can hindi SMS sent by 6130 be received by Nokia GSM like 1100 or 3200? 9.Is R-World fully supported in 6000 now? 10. And finally, if u were in my place, which one amongst these two would u buy, if price would not be a problem. Also about the file size being <= 30k. That is BS.
