Any Nokia Cdma Users In Bangalore?
ani_meher replied to arunpattnaik's topic in General Technical Discussion
I faced the same problem in Thane, Maharashtra. I bought a 2gb sd card and in the same shop asked for a reliance nokia phone. But when I was taking the MIN nos down, the shop owner got scared and thought I am cloning his phone! Luckily for him, I had already taken the MIN number down! See if you can pull up such trick. -

Good work Hitesh! Congrats. Pls reply to the PM -
LG 35 series already has a very good battery life, and sturdiness. My wife's 3500 got stolen last week (I pity the thief stealing a year old LG3500!), we are looking for new handset, that's why I am considering this. 3500's reliability + torch will make this a good deal.

LOL, but seriously, torch is very important feature in India. Any users of this handset? I think the next in line will be the 36xx series, with FM and torch.

Always buy camera that has IS i.e. image stabilization, otherwise on zoom the photos will always be blurred. Specially with super zoom cameras, IS is must. The canon 480 does not have IS, also it has DIGIC II processor IIRC, and not DIGIC III. Go for advanced ones. Buy as updated camera as permitted by your budget, not the ones being phased out.
-
One photographer told me that in higher range, canon is superior to nikon, and nikon is actually considered as poor man's canon! I will also support the above notion, that go for Canon. Don't fall for ad gimmicks, find a camera with max lens size (usually 1/2.5", but some cams go upto 1/1.8"), and the camera should give you full manual mode. VERY useful for going deep into learning photography.

The 3xxx series of LG is already very good. Addition of torch completes it! I have always felt that for India, torch in mobile is a must. Any pics of the phone?

Sorry to bump this old post, but need some info. As this monday we have holiday but PP offices are open, I am going to attempt submitting the form myself. I want to get passport for my mom and wife too. Do they have to be physically present there, or can I submit their forms?

Superb reply, city02! dkaile: How's the power consumption of projectors as compared to LCDs/Plasma? Also, what about bulb life? What's the expected cost and expected frequency to change bulb?

Special data plan for Reliance customers using Windows Mobile phones
ani_meher replied to fatal_error's topic in HTC
Prepaid internet charges are anyway around 2rs/mb. So technically, it shouldn't matter to RCOM to offer this plan to all mobile holders and not just WM ones. -
Card number/cvv/atm pin!!! wow. These spammers will go any depth to get personal information. Hope some poor soul doesn't get trapped in this. Thanks for the heads up.

So does this mean Docomo will connect everywhere where BSNL is connected? If so, Docomo can progress to great heights!

Want To Remove My Cdma Number From Sprint Blackberry 8830 And Use Only For Gsm Blackberry..
ani_meher replied to varunmaru's topic in BlackBerry
One thing I like about 755p is, I also have the number on RUIM. So on weekend trips or going to places where the mobile may be stolen, I just shut off my handset and put the RUIM in a spare LG3500. THis way the mobile remains safe, and I stay worry free -
This phone cannot be used as modem.

Swiss accounts are mainly due to their anonymity. Govt of India has no right of money that is out of the country, and it was just BS by BJP to get votes. Getting money out of Swiss bank just because some higher authority asked is impossible. The reason Swiss bank chose anonymity is when Hitler started to occupy Jew property, swiss banks allowed to open account to anyone, by identifying him by only number and never disclosing his information to anyone. If Hitler couldn't do it in his time, do you think our theoretical Hitlers can do it? No chance.
-
This is a problem with my 755p as well. In trains especially, when the signal is fluctuating, the phone doesn't seem to hold up the range good. And it is updated to latest PRL as well as 1.08 OS. Guess we have to live with it.

I want to access BSNL 1x CDMA internet, using their prepaid plan. Do we get some RUIM for this, so that we can insert it in our CDMA phones like N2865 and use it as datacard only, or is it given only on data cards?
-
Yep, not possible. Also, Pune BSNL is not giving any CDMA internet connection anymore
