It's time to celebrate !!! My PPC (6900) is working now with Tata services, one thing which I was not focusing was "MIN" or "MSID" as my PPC was shownig my same MIN no. which was working in UIM base Nokia 6265 so I thought MIN would be same but after getting clue from Sadik and Deepak that MIN is the only thing which is not allowing this mobile to work so I had called Tata and asked them about my "MIN" and when CC person has told me different 10 digit MIN no., my eyes and face start glowing so immediately I open my PPC and edit my MIN with new no. and ................... no word to say how happy I was feeling at that moment when I heard the dialing tone I'm unable find any Emotion to express my thanks to Sadik Bhai and my Delhi friend "Deepak". Would be writing my more posts to seeks other running help regarding the same PPC (eg. 3D cube changing, WAP setting upload, Latest ROM uploading, where to find / download CDMA utility tools, etc..) breg S@N

Hello Deepak, yest. night when while my phone got updated from tata network all the information including MSID and MIN1/2 got updated, and I've also cross verfied this details from my old nokia 6265 mobile. Sadik has recently sent me a pri file for it, but currently I'm in my In-laws residance so don't have a data cable right now so I will try the same activit in my residence and will revert. breg, Sanjeev

Dear All, I need the help on HTC 6900, as per Sadik it has been configured on Tata and yesterday I've registed it's ESN no. with My Tata existing mobile no. 92120xxxxx with the help of Tata True Hub in Delhi. Tata team had confirmed me that it will start working after 5pm but yesterday I was not able to make/receive any call on this mobile. While I'm dialing *228 it's downloading all the required settings from network and also confirming my activated no. but after reboot status is same. Till the evening mobile was also not updated with my MSID no. but around 11pm most of the details were uploaded thru network automatically. below are the details which are loaded my mobile for your reference : Home SID / NID #1 14846 / 65535 Home SID / NID #2 14842 / 65535 Home SID / NID #3 14840 / 65535 Home SID / NID #4 14836 / 65535 Home SID / NID #5 14844 / 65535 Home SID / NID #6 14838 / 65535 Home SID / NID #7 to #20 value is 0/0 Primary CDMA Channel A 283 Primary CDMA Channel B 384 Secondary CDMA channel A 691 Secondary CDMA channel B 777 Whenever I'm dialing any mobile no. from this, it's shows on screen "Dialing..." then "Connected :" and immediately show "Call ended :" Done lot's of reboot after every 30min. Tata help center is repeating their recorded message (prob. will be shortout within 48hrs) in this regard. Hey Dhiraj, now I'm able to user WAP and Opera thru Tata services, I've used Diego and after going thru 6275 tata settings, I've made some changes in my 6265 mobile, and now every thing is working. only two things are as per Reliance, One is Startup RIL logo and second is Tata Zone icon

Hi, Now my 6265 which was configured for Relinace from Nokia and I was using it with Tata, is also able to use WAP site thru tata network with the help of Diego software. I've gone thru the 6275 tata pri file and made some changes in my 6265 pri file and now except Tata Zone Icon and Startup image, it is very much working fine with all the tata services specially WAP service and I'm able to user Opera browser thru it. breg S@N

First option has already been communicated by Harish, 1. Just export your contacts from Outlook to xls format. 2. Now open the output excel file 3. Press "Ctr" and "H" 4. Type "+91" in Find What area and Type "0" in Replace with area 5. Now click on "Replace All". 6. Check the result and now Import this excel file thru Outlook (note : if you face duplicates in Outlook Contacts after Import then you can first delete all the contacts in Outlook and then Import it again. 7. Now Sync with your PPC and check the result. 8. Smile breg, S@N

Congrates dear !!! Actually I had an idea in my mind that if we can sync full contacts to PPC then it should sync deleted contacts to PPC, and result is already described by you. Hard reset is another option but it will also delete all the loaded s/w's, messages and others records and PPC will goes to it's box packed position (as it was when you had switched on your PPC first time). Your query is right, most of users are facing this issue but in India first thing users are limited to use PPC and secondly indian's are always hard worker so deleting one by one is not a big task for us but if you find the other forums out side you will find techies are suggesting them to use third party softwares to remove all the contacts in one action (eg One user was requesting them for same as he was handling approx 3000 contact.... I'm still not beleiving it) You are always for the same. breg, S@N

Definitely this set is not for those who love to customize thier phone on regular basis. very tough sync, bluetooth missing, IR could fulfill the bluetooth missing. Voice clearity is also not there if you are travelling and using this phone, at some point you will feel crack sound or not listen from other end properly and on the same route if you try other mobile (eg Nokia) you won't face it. You also got disturable sound during call if you are around electric wires definitely it's not happening with other branded mobiles. If there is any revision in the handset hardware then it's good for their users. Overall I can say, this handset is purely for those who are carrying two hand sets (CDMA for cheap calling and GSM for better service ) not for those who are taking it as a fashion symbol ("YAAR !!! I've a Mobile who can support two operator simultaneously").

you are right in Nokia mobile it's very easy to do this activity. since I might get it within one or two days so here I can only share below few optioins if it helps you (not sure) 1. To delete all contacts from your Pocket PC, go to the Contacts application. Tap the "Ctl" key, then the "A" key to select all the contacts. Now tap and hold the stylus on the screen. The menu that appears has "Delete Contact" as an option. Tap on that option, and all your contacts will be deleted. 2. Login as different user on PC, make sure all the contacts are empty in Outlook, now start your Active sync find any setting for contact sync direction (eg PC to Phone), if it is then then try to syn contact PC to Phone and check whether it update the PPC contact list with outlook. ==> Your Luck if it works <== Trust if same PPC would have been with me, I might give you a sure shot solution. share me the outcome

Hi Dhiraj, Wap browser works thru ip address and it doesn't require any user id and password as it's a network based service which is FOC. I just had a discussion with Tata CC and they also confirm me the same and was also saying if you are using a phone (eg WM) and opening a proper Internet explorer to open a web site (eg www.yahoo.com) then it would cost you @40paisa/min. (I'm not sure about using WM IE thru Tata service charge you or not as I've not used it)

Best procedure, whenever you are playing with you address book (eg. taking a backup of contacts in Outlook and doubt about duplicate). Option A 1. Check the updated contact location (in phone or MS Office Outlook) 2. If phone has the updated contacts then as a safe procedure you can create / login with another user in PC and Sync the Mobile contacts with Outlook and see if all the details are coming as per your expectation. 3. After completing the point no. 2, now login with your main User id in PC and delete all the contacts in outlook and Sync it with your Mobile. 4. Now contacts will be same on both the end. 5. Now you can delete all the contacts from another user (in which you have syn the mobile contacts for backup) Option B 1. Open Microsoft Office Outlook (where you all the contacts are stored) 2. Click on File->Import and Export->Export to a file->Microsoft Excel (after pressing next if Microsoft Office Translator is not installed then windows will ask you to install it -- Press Yes) now select the "Contact" folder when you are asked to "Select folder to Export from", Press Next and you will be asked to location of export file, specify the location and give a suitable file name (eg Mahesh Contacts 24_6_08.xls) and press Next and you will be shown a final windows of "Action to be perfomed" now press Finish button lastly and your all the contacts have been transfer to MS Excel file. 3. Now you can delete all the contacts from MS Outlook (as you have backup data in .xls format) 4. Sync you mobie with Outlook. In case something goes bad you can do Import contacts from xls file but never select "Allow duplicates to be created" if you have same contacts in your MS Outook coz it will create the duplicates of contacts which is available at both end. Better way is always take a backup of your contacts and send the backup file (xls) to your internet mail account so at any stage you can get it from anywhere in the world. Hope this will help you regarding backup/restore the contacts using MS Outlook. breg S@N

Hey Harish, according to me, In Tata mobile, whenever you are using any wap site thru mini browser (by entering Tata zone) it won't charge you anything but if you are using tata mobile (Postpaid as prepaid doesn't support it) for net connection thru computer using dialup connection (username-internet / Password-internet) then you will be charged 40paisa/min (not matter whether you are in Home or Roaming network) and you got 128+Kbps (approx 18KBps download speed). So I feel if Windows Mobile (WM6) doesn't allow Tata zone (wap site mini browser) and IE is the only option to view the full web sites then I think it uses in-built dialup connection (using same user id and password), if this really happens in the background then in this case user will be charge @40paisa/min. => Sadik <-> Hetal - your valuable comments would address the several doubts (BTW long time Hetal bhai in invisible mode ) breg S@N

Hi all, since I'm using Tata zone in Nokia mobile and it's free if you are surfing any wap site (eg http://wap.yahoo.com) thru it but recently someone has shared me that Tata zone can not be access thru Windows Mobile and if you are using Web browser to surf the site, it would be chargable. your comments please ... breg S@N

Hi All, can someone give me a brief about WM, in terms of like we use a PC which has HDD and normally we install the OS onto it and whenever your OS got corrupted we can format the HDD and can reinstall the OS again. In terms of Windows mobile, does it uses ROM space for the OS or is there any other space for OS installation ? In case we are using WM6 and it got corrupted then can we reinstall the WM6 again ? What is SPB shell, is it a Keyboad software for WM ? If we are using HTC Touch <Sprint> with Tata services then can we use GPS or A-GPS on this mobile ? thanx in advance for sparing your time. breg, S@N

Thanx Kshah, I've Diego v3.09. I've saved my 6265-Reliance PRI file as backup. PRI File name showing in the Diego 531626r001. Tell me one thing, If I got the PRI file from any helping guy then Restoring that PRI file can solve my issue or is there any other settings are also there after restoring the Tata Mobile PRI file. Hello, I'm using 6265 and it was brought for Reliance services but right now I'm using it with Tata services, Left key shows 'Go To' option and Right key shows 'RWorld' so can you tell me how to modify my all reliance setting to Tata settings and RWorld Icon to Tata Zone Icon. Can we change the Left and Right option key (when you are on mobile home page) with other applications. eg. if you want RWorld/Tata zone Right option key to be replace with 'Names'. breg S@n
