This is indeed is a great find. Will this work with rooted Sprint S3 with stock setup. For instance will this apk be same for both note 2 as well as s3 if yes then just replacing it will do the trick or do we have to make modifications to the apk which we have in our device. If you would shed some light on the changes to be made that would help us a lot. Btw the only gripe i have using sprint s3 on stock setup is not having the call conferencing capablity.

Sorry man! No video was captured. However, Karki has two to three pictures of all of us together. I guess Rahul and Amit bhai too have a picture each on there phone. That is all seriously speaking we were so much in to conversation with each other that it really skipped out of the check list. Most of time it was Karki doing the talking and we all really enjoyed his DSLr and other tech goodies he always carries in bag. -

@pulsar220 AFAIK battery backup using GSM was better than on CDMA for me on photon. And i guess it is the case with most of the devices as CDMA network tends to drain more juice.

Tutorial: How To Install Custom Recovery For Motorola Photon
mujeebrehman posted a topic in Motorola
Guys with photon (or any other phone) I would really recommend you take a backup of your phone so that if something goes wrong we can restore back to point were things were good It never hurts to take a backup and is best for people who do a lot of experimenting with their phones as it is always better to be prepared than being sorry! You can now flash the bootstrap ClockworkMod Recovery package on the Motorola Photon 4G. You of course have to have your Photon rooted (if you need to root it still you can go to this article). Along with root access you will need an AC adapter with the USB charging cable. Photon 4G ClockworkMod Recovery Installation Instructions: Download the recovery file (Download Link) Connect your Photon to the computer via USB Put the .apk you downloaded on your phone Unplug your phone from the computer find and install “Bootstrap_signed.apk” (the file you just put on the phone) After install is done run the application Click “Install Recovery” Accept the Superuser request After completed, plug your Photon 4G into the wall to charge Verify that your phone is charging from the wall Press “Recovery Boot” Your device will now reboot into CWM Recovery (be patient it is slow) Source I have also attached the recovery apk incase we are unable to download it at a later date. Update your Sprint Samsung Epic 4G Touch D-710 To The Latest Official, Leaked and Custom ROM
mujeebrehman replied to joshm's topic in Samsung
AWESUM Work DOC! Really it is a treat to read through all the updates you have posted. You are really taking pains to get the best out of this beast! My bad that I do not own it anymore but then I got one for my partner today. Hope she doesn't mind myself tweaking her phone and messing with all new roms and stuff. IMHO when I used this phone the best stable setup was STOCK GB not sure about the radio and kernel though it was stock too. Then when I applied the initial two ICS update OTA for my phone I was at total loss. But now after checking your progress rom rom mai ROM ka keeda jag gaya hai -

Thanks Doc! Great two of the trusted contributers for this thread (Vinod and Doc) have confirmed that there is no issues or rather no change in battery life. Personally that is what i wanted to hear however, can someone confirm if WIFI teether is working as afaik it is not working on JB. From my past experience most of the phones works best with the setup they were shipped and in most cases os upgrades have s&*&^*d them.

Yes it is the official ota by sprint and the flashable zip file is already posted on xda. Can someone throw some light on any issues after the update. One of the issue reported multiple times is detorated battery life. If somebody already took the plunge please enlighten us from future misery or awesomeness Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

Yes one has to be on Stock to get this ota. However even if you are on stock but rooted this ota will be download on your device but it will fail to update. I use droidwall to allow access to apps that can use Internet and I have disabled the system app Samsung updater from Internet access so this ota doesn't download again. Once again congrats Arun for your new S3. AFAIK this new ota does pop issues for EVDO on our handsets. Man just root this device using the qbkings's youtube link and try installing the update and it will fail as once you have root you will too have custom recovery. IMO the current setup prior to the OTA is the best and you will not regret not updating your device to the latest OTA.
