Tutorial: How To Install Custom Recovery For Motorola Photon
mujeebrehman replied to mujeebrehman's topic in Motorola
Man if you had got it from parin you should be like 100% in chilax mode. Parin is one of the best when it comes to after sales and his technical knowledge is way too good. If you had contacted him earlier he would had solved it way back then. Even I have leaned a hell lot of things from him and still get something to learn from him every now and then. Now please keep in mind to make a note of your min. It will save a lot of trouble in future if you have it handy. -
If you have too many issues like force close and unresponsiveness due to bloated blur I would recommend a factory reset. However make sure you have a backup of your contacts and SMS. If you need to backup apps you will have to root the phone and use titanium backup pro.

Tutorial: How To Install Custom Recovery For Motorola Photon
mujeebrehman replied to mujeebrehman's topic in Motorola
Akhilesh, man I am not sure what went wrong with you. For me and others who I know use this recovery over photon it works like a charm. Now I would suggest you do a battery pull and try again to get in to recovery. If you are successful try flashing the working backup. Finally If it too fails wait for sometime once you boot your phone at times it takes a while to get past the boot screen. But if does not boot up with say 5 to 10 mins than I guess rsd is the only option left but still you can flash the backup you have on the sd once you do the rsd. Warning :- Please contact your seller before you do the rsd on this phone and take his advice over this current situation. If you are up to doing it yourself read about the procedure carefully before you proceed as it can brick your phone and turn it in to a paper weight. You will need the prl file NV dump file for the data and calls working. Also you will need to feed the min manually if you do not have the min I would seriously recommend not to proceed with rsd. On the tools end you will need cdma workshop, Motorola drivers to get started. Also make sure your battery is fully charged before you start this process. Visit this link to get a brief idea about using cdma workshop and you will get the prl and cdma workshop exe there. For NV dump you will have to get it from your seller. Hope your issue gets resolved soon. -
This works best with HTC phones like evo. Afaik not all phones like photon or E4GT will make any use of it. Atleast did not work in my case.

No it will not. On top of it you will have to reprogram your phone if you do rsd. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk

Swiftkey 3 Beta Starts To Make The Spacebar Obsolete

My experience too syncs with tanveer. I was die hard swyper and tried various other apps with features similar to swype. But the moment i started using swiftkey there was no turning back. I feel it is quite easy to type on swift key and I can manage to type my stuff within a few keystrokes as the prediction is insanely perfect. This app is like wine gets better with age as it keeps learning all the words that you input. Again swype too does that but the accuracy in predication is a real game changer for me. -

SwiftKey can learn words from your sms app, facebook twitter accounts. And eventually you will be amazed by the way it predicts words. Prior to this I was using SwiftKeyx paid version for long time so I can vouch for that. And with this version it seems to get better. I also like the new layout and themes. I would really suggest to give it a try. P.S I forgot to link the youtube video of the demo. (read not a morning person) Please check the source link for the video to get a feel of it. The fashos.com discount coupon is back this time it is 40% off Use the coupon code FASHOS40 (The catch is that total at the checkout should be of Rs. 2000.) This is an awesome site for shoes I had bought one earlier and so did my colleagues and the service is really good. -
How Fast Does Your Smartphone Boot?
mujeebrehman replied to ::: VA :::'s topic in General Technical Discussion
Even after changing the sprintodam file to skip the sprint activation part mopho takes time to boot. However the second photon I have boots under 1 min which is complete stock setup. Will try to see if I can find any difference in settings. Btw my current daily driver epic 4G touch takes around 15 to 20 second to boot same applies to htc incredible in my household which has fast boot enabled. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk -
Review: Sprint Samsung Galaxy SII - Epic 4G Touch - The Mammoth
mujeebrehman replied to dkaile's topic in Samsung
Thanks again hitesh bhai. Bro i can root this one following the instructions bt as dk bhai had warned against rooting to avoid radio issues I am a bit skeptical. Also without rooting on stock setup I have too many dropped calls further I can see that my phone will loose the network completely for a second and will get full network and this seems to happen every now and then. Did anybody else had this issue with their phones. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk -

Sorry did not see your post earlier. If you still have this issue pm me I will try to sort it for you. -
But yet again aramex does not accept mobile phones. They asked me it can be done if I have an account with them. And I am pretty sure they will not be interested in customers with 2 or 3 shipments a month. Btw i have a close friend whose uncle is the country head of aramex I guess I will have to use some influence to send my one or two shipments.

I am confident that factory reset will do the the trick. If possible take a back up of all the data and do the factory reset from recovery.

As Iqbal bhai, and Dev confirmed mopho is the best in network coverage and voice clarity period. As currently I am using epic 4g touch and when I checked the details about signal i was without network for 6% of total cell stand by time. Further, Iqbal bhai mopho is not dual stand by you can use only one network at a time but the switch hardly takes 3 seconds. Though mopho is very snappy there is some lag in the home screen transitions at times because of the sh^&&*^ blur software from motorola. but again I prefer to be on stock. Actually people using custom roms can confirm that on other stable roms mopho performs better.

Iqbal bhai thank you for your kind words. Though I have upgraded to epic 4g touch I will surely try my level best to help you. Please feel free to contact me anytime.

Bought Dell 22 Inch WideScreen HD LED Monitor (ST2220L) from LSB. Looking forward to use it during weekends and will try to review it. -
Follow these instructions. Before that download rsd lite and the drivers for your phone. Proceed only after you have installed the drivers.

Thanks kundalus +1 for your efforts to explain it. But mate I already know these steps as this a standard procedure. However it did help me as when I tried it again it on gsm gave me a error like call cannot be conferenced or something like that. Now as I am on stock setup sbf 198_7 so i tired calling Idea cc about call conferencing issue now the ****ty part is that they said that my corporate idea number does not have call conferencing facility by default. And they were asking me R.s 50 per month for this service. So the culprit was the service provider and not the phone itself. Time to terminate that gsm number as my only use was for 3G. Mate thanks for explaining this however, I was previously too trying this however now I have figured out that my gsm number did not have cc facility by default and I had never anticipated that part.

Will surely post my review once I get hold of it and use it for a few days....
