I got JIO sim activated but within hours I got no signal on the sim after activating 90 days preview offer. Now jio SC person says that use that sim in Samsung (any one out of 11) phone not in another phone. Any idea or help that how can I use that sim in other phone.

I suggest buy Sennheiser CX 275-s are good. I use them for music listening.

Hadapsar Gadital and Viman nagar store has software patch capability. From Reliance store near Vaibhav Theater Hadapsar you can get new May 16 sim card swapped at cost of regular sim swap charges.

I observed same call quality and clarity in pune as earlier on cdma and also no call drops while moving (to office) as earlier and now coverage is much better for me (at home) which was pathetic for me at home including data. I am getting 26 kbps in edge in speedtest which seems good to me.

You need to fix both things get you sim software upgraded and also in sim toolkit in roaming select national and then reboot. This problem is having in dual sim phones not in single sim phones. Sent from my MI 5 using Tapatalk

yes Migrated from CDMA to GSM just today afternoon it happened.

As per Kharadi store person Sim card can be upgraded at viman nagar, Hadapsar store near gadital and singhgad store etc. I believe all the sims from Apr 2016 needed to be patched if data is not starting them automatically. My prepaid sim was having May 2016 packing date and data worked automatically.

one strange issue is coming that in Mi once network goes it automatically comes to international roaming in sim toolkit ( Viman nagaar store guy fixed it first for me.)then I need to change it to manually national roaming and reboot to get network. Since I have Zero plan I switched permanent divert to my vodafone number so that I will receive calls almost all of the times.

I was also not having data on Mi although data was working in Iphone so first I went to the kharadi store and they do not have card reader so after they told me I went to viman nagar and got my sim software upgraded. Network is working at EON although as always 2G till they start 4G.

Now to dial numbers from cdma I need to remove +91 and 0 both else number is not dialing.

Any postpaid customers get upgraded in pune?

It is 31st now still my cdma post paid no is not updated while prepaid is updated and I was able to see edge symbol asap I put sim in phone and LTE network still not up. Others who has postpaid sim with Rge sim and Zero Plan in pune or anywhere please let me know if your number is upgraded to 4G? Still signals are there and working although in some parts network is down completely.

Today I just checked my CDMA prepaid for upgrade by putting my 4G sim in handset and it is started working but is only on 2G network. We need to wait for 4G network to come up. My postpaid number (RGE Sim) still pending for 4G upgrade / Conversion and I am waiting for it.

But on Rge sim I have signals in pune but unable to call as per reliance store some other network issue happened ( other then 4G upgrade) and they are fixing it. Not sure what rcom is doing but it should have managed better. Hope outcome at last will be better and worth waiting and going through pains.

You were happy with evdo and many users but that does not opens new opportunities for rcom but 4G does as more customers wants more speed at lower price. I was not happy with evdo as was not getting good signals and speed at all at zero plan. Rcom wants to capture more data and voice users and their spectrum deserves it. I believe I will get good signal becaue of new Rjio towers don't forget rcom will use Rjio towers and infra so total Number of cellular towers will be increased may be more then double.

No my reliance prepaid ( non rge) and postpaid ( rge) are working but my father's prepaid ancient sim ( on roaming) with no data is not working. Sent from my MI 5 using Tapatalk

Just talked to reliance store person (another store) he said upgrade is started and they will first convert data card customers and already data card speeds are lower now. Some customer complained them that data card which was working earlier at 3x ( I guess Pro3) are now working at 1x and then in next 2-3 days they will start migrating phone numbers, also we may see some network outages at night time.

I said process will start on 23rd May and end at 3rd June. did you noticed now if you call at 198 it directly lands to a support person and they confirmed me N number of times that by 30th May all numbers will be upgraded to 4G.

Yes I got this information from one of Reliance store owner. Have patience guys we will get 4G upgrae... As RCOM and RJIO needs 850mhz frequency to start 4G services so that they get better indoor coverage. and RCOM (after buying MTS and using it's 850/800mhz frequency for 4G also) is doing deal with Aircel to make itself a competitive 4G player against Airtel and RJIO. RCOM. In coming months 4G war will begun an 4G is future now so who are sad about CDMA look at brighter side it is the future.

As per what I come to know from 23rd Reliance will start migrating bandwidth to 4G and will either handover to RJIO or use it in sharing with it. This migration should complete upto 3rd June. and between users will be migrated to 4G in phases or waves I come to know that from 23rd May reliance will migrate two bands or frequencies to 4G and last will be migrated on 3rd June and then on 3rd June CDMA will be shut down completely.
