bad news guys the ringtones by sms is chargeable i think i got to know about it day before yesterday and i had sent about 30 sms for ringtones and saved only one of it at that time my unbiled usage waa Rs 95 and I have not made much voice calls today i saw the unbilled usage and it has shot up to Rs 175 now what do u say about it Will have to wait for bill to see what is being charged and how much for what So be careful about it THE RIM GUYS WONT ACCEPT THEIR MISTAKE

thats a good initiative friend I am with you in this there is also one more thing in which they r looting us and that is the calls to TATA indicom CDMA mobiles which is being charged as GSM calls

its not for email only u can put ur mobile no also there as is given in the help section i had given my email id the sms got delivered but no delivery report till now strange and the good thing is that you can send a longer message but why is it not put on the site it is like a hidden thing you have to go thru backdoor to access it If u ask this to RCC i am 100% sure they have no idea about it Strange are the ways of reliance

ha nice find ashras99 we people have been using this bitpim for lgrd2030 for atleast a year and adding ringtones and wallpapers thru it and there is a topic here about the process

yeah its working and the good thing is that you can send message of 430 characters but is it chargeable since it uses ur no to send the sms I do not have to worry about it since I am in DAPO but what about others

The charges are fordownloading the ringtone ie if u save it or just for listening also and what about DAPO subscribers I rang the CC thrice but they seem to have no information about it They say it is in testing phase ( and some of them had no info at all about it )and as usual they will let us know through relevant media channels once it is launched We will come to know about it only when we receive the bill lets wait and watch It seems we get informations before the reliance guys get it we seem to be going ahead of them And one more thing I had sent a sms to 1237 for a picture message i got a reply thankyou for downloading the picture message ( but i got no picture) and the charges for it are Rs. (Yeah it was blank no charges written) There is no charges described on the indiatimes site also on rediff site it is written no charges applicable but only sms charge will be levied On yahoo it costs Rs 10 per ringtone

if at first u do not succedd tyr once again as it sometimes happen that u get a reply that service is not available or not found try another time

you might get the software from illegal sources or from somewhere on the net if u r able to find it otherwise no other legal source of it

thats not a mms it is a sms it is like the greetings and other things u get like the fun sms from trouble in kidzone

Which handset r u having Just follow the procedure above if u have followed did u get any reply fot your sms if not then try other ringtone try both mono and polyphonic tunes I have RD 2030 and it is working fine on it It is like an mms sent in the sms u will see Run click on ok and you will get ot hear the ringtone

I sent wall to 1237 and it replied THIS SERVICE IS CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE WITH YOUR OPERATOR they will inform once it is started after sending GAME as sms to 1237 it replied send keyword to play and it gave keywords but these r sms games you have to continously send sms to continue game playing tic tac toe now and for ringtones you can go to indiatimes mobile site and send the keywords from there I had sent a keyword for main yaha hoon of veer zaara forst i got a reply not found then it send the link i clicked on ok and it opened the r world suite bit later said R world not ready will try for more

The main problem with this is that u cannot give a name to the ringtone neither does it have a name it is only a number The name of the ringtone saved is its code number

wow thats a good find u receive the ringtone from 8888 ie indiatimes and it runs the rworld suite and u can listen to the ringtone and then save it I have got DAPO offer so can send sms for free But there is one problem u get two sms in reply and how did u know about it and are there r any more codes for the rinngtones of new movies

It will be simple dial *228 and it will ask for a 9 digit code which might be written on the virtual sim card and then the handset will be activated I have one handset which seems to have be disconnected from reliance I can only call *333 from it and on dialling *228 it asks for a 9 digit code written on the reliance starter kit I think by this way people who might be having okd handsets bought under 501 scheme may be able to reactivate their dead handsets

The software is available with the ASC only and you will have to take the mobile to them and they will correct it but they will charge you even if u r in the warranty period as in the ASC's it is clearly written WATER DAMAGE IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY

Someone somewhere in this forum had told that the cable for 7130 7230 and 5130 is the same and that person had confirmed it with the LG service centre and maybe it will work with the 6130 also Has anybody tried this well Manju if any of ur friends have these phones u can surely try this and inform us

well I think that VX or RD r the service providers prefixes going by the review on these sites I think this mobile is another dumped phone form LG I just cannot understand why is reliance buying these rubbish handsets Going by the reviews of these colour handsets I think it is better for me to stick to my old RD 2030

if u shift back to india the capacity will remain 250 MB i have tried it so once u get 250 MB just change the location back to India No problem

HI got the tone of Yeh tara and isqh ka tadka these r in midi format and can be easily sent thru mms I tried uploading mmf tones for samsung but the forum does not allow that extension so I have added it in zip file and it is there Ishq_Ka_Tadka.mid Yeh_taraaa.mid toness.zip

it is ridiculous that they r asking for Rs 8000 for an upgrade for no fault of yours why don't u go to consumer court hope they will give some help It is really funny that u have got all bad handsets till now R u the exceptional case or the handsets r of poor quality I think reliance should maintain the quality of their handsets the first batch was good of b/w handsets but now they r getting handsets of poor quality and software Waiting for the reviews of their new handsets now we have to be cautious b4 upgrading our handsets

well nokia 2280 is also RUIM based as Tata is offering the same mobile with a card in it Motorola also seem to be having RUIM slot and they may be functional also Lets wait and watch
