In rconnect for freedom plan or any other plan(Not Default Plan) browsing speed is some thing around 7to8 Kilo Bytes /sec and dwnload speed around 10to 12 Kilo Bytes/Second (Depends),But if you try the same thing with prepaid connection the speed drops.i mean to say the person who is getting a speed of "X" KB/S must get a speed of "X-3" or "X-4" KB/S. this is due to strategy of Reliance ,----------- less the speed of your connection more the time you spend online and more you pay(PREPAID)---------- the reverse is for POSTPAID || Just have a LooK it's True.........

Airtel Claim a D/L speed of 20 to 30 Kilo Bytes / Sec But u can get MaX 12 and i have observed that a good D/L speed we can have during day time during night it's around 8,9 or 10. 150 Rs is 5X30 days(new Plan for Prepaid) and WAP for Free

Hy buddy Sorry for a late reply actually the fact for Airtel gprs is that it had a serious problem.now durind the last week of feb this year they had a upgradation in the server and in the whole system .earlier i also used to have a very bad speed but now it's very good --- very good means only in terms of money you are spending . Nokia is really bad in GPRS technology only if you go for hi-end Nokia fones like 6230(approx-13,ooo) then u can have a good gprs modem. But you will get a LG G 1600 only for 4,400 approx and a data cable for 600 from LG service centre. But there is a problem in Airtel gprs after their upgradation now u can't receive incomming calls during online but SMS ,no probs..... if you don't get LG internet kit software mail me t subhrodas@gmail.com and remember only get the data cable for LG service centre... It's not KILO BITS it's KILO BYTES Ha Ha Ha ..Don't be angry with me i was just just laughing on RIM Service Charges - Rs 130(i thin pocket money collection for A.amb & M.amb)

Hi,Every body I am new in this Forum(i started today).I was using R-Connect through LG RD 2030 during April(2004).During that time flat rate was 1 Re/min.But the Quality of connection was good .As it was costly so i disconected the service after a few months and started using Internet through GPRS(AirTel)even today. But i cant't express how Tough time it was on Net till today !! So, i have planned to start my R-Connect service from tomrw.I would like to go for a post paid connection with 1500 unlimited plan.... So Guys please suggest me which handset would be best for R-Connect service.I am thinking about ------ LG RD 5130 ----- _*_* _SOME FACTS ABOUT GPRS(AirTel) SERVICE_*_*- 1.Average speed 600 B/s. 2.Maximum download speed 4Kbps 3.4 Mb / Hr. 5.Service provider guarantee 10 Kbps. 6.Almost FREE!! 5 Rs / Day (150 FOR 30 DAYS) Unlimited. Every thing tested on Nokia N-Gage (Class-6 GPRS device )

guys i just called reliance customer care the rconnect dept. They told me Reliance cannot define Scientific terms in a new way so 1Gb=1024 Mb. No fake .............. It's true

So Guys i am on r connect connection through LG RD 5130 set.I am using a serial port Cable (Genuine) from r world.I had to install LG RD 2230 com Driver for that but it is working fine .Showing a speed of 115Kbps .Getting average speed of 8Kbps and download speed of 18 to 20 Kbps(In Opera v7.52). My question is i am using my user name and password only the fone number and not with the STD code .Earlier in prepaid i used to connect using my STD code followed by my fone number. Though i am connected is this the right procedure ??????????? R-Connect Rating ****1/2

Do you mean to say Samsung Mobile Phones are good for medem use but ,very few samsung samsung models are provided by Reliance today. If i go for LG will i get the same speed as i am getting now through GPRS. And another more thing does Reliance LG FWP give good Data transfer speed than any other handset.please keep in mind my budget is 6K. Thanks .....
