There was some problem in the setup file. I could'nt install it. Some kind of runtime error occured and it says that the file is incomplete. I downloaded it with Flashget. Did anyone else had the same problem? Damn, it was a big 16 MB file. Which software should i use for converting DVD to VCD? Any Freeware?

Wanna record the streaming songs haan Tanveer? Try Freecorder. Its a great freeware. But no pauses in between and records at 64kbps only. The Radio Software is good. Is there a radio station for Radio Mirchi, Red FM and AIR 102.6 FM?

That sounds strange...Why cannot it send SCKL Codes? After all its just plain text string.

I use CA 42 cable. On connecting it with the phones, they display - 'Data Enhancement Attached'. Upon Connecting it to the PC, Nokia PC Suite displays- 'Nokia 2280 connected' for just 2 seconds before it shows 'Phone Disconnected'. But it works fine for Nokia 6020, which is on Airtel. Hey Ashok, i have tried Oxygen Phone Manager and MobiMB long back. They are potatoes . They didnt even detect the cable.

Hey, did'nt knew about you post in here. Sorry. The SMS portal is long dead dude. So, if u want to send a ringtone to ur phone, get a phone connected to PC and copy pasteand sms the code to ur phone. Else, write the code yourself and send it to yourself. Some people are using CHIKKA Messenger nowadays. That wont work either because, it automatically adds some extra characters at the end of the message.

Hey, which Software do u guys use to connect to mobile from ur PC. I have had a data cable for a long time which works fine with Nokia 6020 on Airtel, and fits in Nokia 2280 of RIM. But, i dont have any other software to work on it. I have been searching for it for a long time. I dont know whether this is the right place for this, but if there is any Nokia 2280 user who connects his phone to pc, please tell me which software are u using and where can i get it. Thanks

correct bro, it has been the first time in the world that a dedicated radio service has been started for mobile, The service has been started by VIRGIN MOBILE in UK I had done some searching on Wap radio thing some time back. The virgin radio service was free i suppose, but people will have to pay for airtime usage. In India, Airtel WAP charges a fixed amount per month (99/-)instead of Data transfered. All you have to do is to install a small application on ur phone to listen to Virgin Radio on ur mobile. But the application is in .sis which does'nt runs on my mobile. My mobile Nokia 6020 supports only .jar. So, any airtel user in here, or any other gsm user for that matter, who has WAP service, and a good phone, please try VIRGIN RADIO. go to wap.virginradio.com/ from ur moble. The FM radio on handsfree kit is a much better option i suppose. Dont know whether it will actuall work..... but 1 thing is for sure, ur handset will need to be reprogrammed.

Hey peeps, I read in an ICFAI Publication that google was buying optic fiber cable in Europe in Hughe quantities, although this is a rumor. I also read that it was about to provide free internet through wifi in San Francisco. The article also had many comparisons betwees Google, Yahoo, Maicrosoft, Amazon and E Bay. The graph for income in this year showed that Google was in a completely different orbit!! much high than the other companies. But there were also some concerns like google's income sources are very limited as compared to its rivals like Yahoo, who have many different sources. Googles only source of income is through advertisements. Also, some applications which are being developed at google labs have taken or are taking a lot of time for development, which will affect it. But, GOOGLE IS GOOD , and there is no one close to it currently.

Ya, you can send bulk messages through Nokia Phones by connecting them to pc using data cable and Nokia PC Suite software. But Nokia PC Suite does not works for my Nokia 2280. It works for my Nokia 6020. But it is a really simple affair sending smses from pc through my Nokia 6020 (Airtel). Just type in the message, and it will break it into bits of 160 characters ( normal size of an sms). And if it exceedes the limit, the remaining part of the message goes as a second message. Ashok, if you still remember the SCKL ringtones thing , i am able to send SCKL ringtones this way to the Reliance Nokia phones. And it works. The only difference is that, now it gets charged

Reliance is the best no doubt. A CDMA is obviously expected to be trouble free. But Airtel in my city (Visakhapatnam) is equally good. Infact its better than Idea and Hutch. Those having Hutch are the worst effected ones here and suffer from poor signal and call drops. Cell one was the best SUKKA some time back. But its ok now. Sometimes, even reliance handset people(my friends) are suffering from poor signal at some places, and they envy my phone . But that may be due to their aging pre historic instruments of samsung and nokia. Man....they seem to be rickshaw walas from the condition in which their mobiles is in But hey...dont tell them. They are also members of this forum and might read this.

Wow!! this thread is red hot. Hey Supernova, this plan is for prepaid customers also and no need to take a new connection. I got some sms's from airtel giving me that offer. Well, i have to be cautious before changing my plan and jumping into it. The best part of the offer is that we get full talktime on all the future recharges . But the scary part is , that we have to stick to this connection for 28 YEARS!!! Now thats a looooong looooooong time.....By that time, maybe i will be having abt 25 years working experience
