dun get me wrong, my sis is using the lg... ( it sux in comparison to my cell) i am using a 6680... its running on a series 60 platform 3
its the latest one which supports everything that all phones like 6600 to 6630 has to offer... tht means the realone player which can play pretty much every format that real player can play.. besides that.. its truly versatile.. just yesterday, i installed a dvd player... its a program that read .avi files.. nd i saw half on bunty nd bubli on my cell.. i know its a small screen nd evrythng.. but.. if iopd video can do it, y not my cell?? its different that the others because it provides better security measures while installing untrusted applications.. nd it incorporates the higher resolution screen that my cell has
of couse, u need to upgrade the memory for all that to happen.. and i guess u can dish out 2000-3000 extra to take full advantage of the cell
newayz.. basically.. it can do pretty much nething that ne portable device in the market can do, and it can do it btr that ne of the dedicated devices..
this cell can compete against ipod video, nano, portable dvd players available.. palmtops used for internet surfing and viewing office files.. devices used for ppt presentations.. fm radios.. cameras that you might buy around rs 10000.. u name it,, nd it has it..
now to series 40... it aint versatile.. if u have a music player player on board its all gud... but if that is not the case.. u can forget the music from ur cell
now series 80... its a beauty... it has everything that series 60 has.. the difference in mainly because of the screens..
now series 90.. i guess that is the one in 7710.. and lemme be the first to say, the cell sux... if u go for looks, its the best one for u.. but i go into what my cell can offer... for staters, the applications that exist for this series are limited... programmers are not interested in making applications for this version because it is has only one cell in the market namely 7710... and the applications that do exist take up a huge amount of ram.. nd on top of that, for some reason, the applications that u once start can only be minimised and not be closed..hence straining the ram... so that means, if u r in a party and ur friends fiddle around with ur cell, it is very likely that it will hang 10 times in 15 mins only cause it u cannot quit the running applications nd hence u will restart the cell 10 times... i gave the time span of 5 mins extra cause it will tke 5 mins to restart it 10 times...
besides.. the touch screen taks up a huge memory too... so even the 90 mb memory that if making the cell expensive, is useless...
if u dun restart the cell every 2 hrs.. u will have a hung up cell which wont even recieve calls ( the main purpose its made for!!)
for now.. the best cell in the indian market is the 6680 in series 60 or ne of the communicators( if u want to dish out some extra bucks) n90 aint gud... trust me.. the major attraction is a carl zeius lens.. nd i have seen the pix it takes... they ****!!! if u want a cell just for a camera.. go it for sony erricson... as die hard a fan of nokia i might be, se kicks *** in terms of camera and looks.. nd if u still want an n90, but can wait for another 2 or 3 months!! wait for n70 to show up... that will be the ultimate cell in the market.. havin a 2 mp camera, a flash and even 3g... everything that n90 cannot do!!!
so whoever said that 7710 is made in this lab!!! he is obviosly not well informed practically... they dunno its downfalls..
nd i forgot to mention thjis... series 90 (7710) is the most porne to security attacks!!! and ironically, u dun have a free antivirus support for it!!!
