  1. Please Suggest Handset (cdma)

aapne to meri dil ki baat bol di ....... but it is best if u know how to handle a windows mobile device....otherwise just close ur eyes and go for treo755p Agreed Mogul is actually mogul, but the ease of handling, sturdiness, and the Platform and Of course the Cost does make it one of those sets which look good in your hand but are a liability eqv to something which I would say for last year's Bulky IBM laptops, Mogul needs to be taken care of so much I washed my hands off mine in 2 days flat though at a loss of couple of thousand rupees As the Doc says u shud how to handle a Win Device, still it is so damn slow that you feel u r working the Pent 1, with 16MB SD RAM (One premium Fast computer when it was launched) LOL
  2. Please Suggest Handset (cdma)

Thanks again for suggesting Nokia 6275 I know its slim but I come to know that Blue Tooth problem is there Also, I can try any handset with/without warranty but it should fulfill my basic requirements. As I already spent more then Rs. 50,000 on Handsets and could not find better then Nokia 6265 I am just worried and not like to waste more money. That is why I requested for tested handsets and not just specifications. Like if you go through specifications of Samsung SCH-W619 and Motorola V9M they looks much better then Nokia 6265 but when you use them Still I appreciate your efforts for suggesting me new handsets. I will check them for sure. Vipul I m awaiting my New 755P Treo from Sadikk in a couple of days ( Dispatching today hopefully) , You can wait and watch, come, see the handset, feel it, since I too am in chandigarh. If you like it then it is a good upgrade from Nokia That way a 11K handset with PDA like features can be a prospect. reg the Nokia, I have used the 6275, as a basic phone it is good, the bluetooth does have some gaps but for data and other things , it is good enuff. Lots of Phones have been through my Hands, But Nokia has been the prime phone due to ease of use and a Easily available charger everywhere Every Manufacturer has some pros and cons, let us see Palm 755P, it has some very positive reports from Biggies like Dhiraj and Dr Mufaddal here. ** No promos, Just suggesting the phone, you may buy from anywhere...
  3. Saurav, I too am in chandigarh , n i ve just closed the treo 755P with sadikk, hopefully will be delivered in 2-3 days. just wait till then, you can meet me, see the handset and then decide.... that way dudh da jalyaa can foonk maro it first
  4. Doc Saab, "LIke i said "was just an expression, not a takhallus, As they say in that new advert " if you dont ask questions , how will you learn" anyways , abhi to gizmo final kiya hai, let the toy come into my hands , hope to get more and more questions and suggestions even for myself and with gurus like yourself , Kalpak, Dhiraj, Sadik and some others , I can always rest assured of support and encouragement (If I DO EVERYTHING AFTER READING POST NO 68# LMAO
  5. like it says in the manual, only 3 way concall is possible.........
  6. Basically That Implies that when you change the settings from Sprint to Reliance, there must be an option wherein you set it from a logical 1 to a logical 0 , hence setting the conf "Button" not to show when in reliance. This is a logical thought. So if you change all the settings in reliance from sprint , it won't work. Reliance supports con call as a network however the parameters being set by the flasher/solver need to be checked one by one and then it should work, Just a newbie thought, guess you gurus can implore it further. Also having a thing to explore and thinking like myself are different as in practical and textbook. Guess Sadik can work on this since he has all the tools/ softwares for detailed analysis at chip level and using NV Scan there can be a solution.
  7. This is what the Manual says for concall, can anyone using the phone try and confirm I ve downloaded the same from the net after googling for the manual
  8. The query reg memory card is that "is the card of 4 gb heavy on the phone , does it make functioning lighter if you use 2GB card.
  9. Dear Frnds I ve been reading this complete thread for past quite some time nad have gone through it complete a couple of times. (alas the benefits of a recession). However there are a few niggling questions which stay Sadik seems like he is busy , so I ve taken the forum to face the gurus with these minor queries A: What about Conference Call , what is the procedure for the same. Is is as good and easy as Nokia or Korean Handsets B: The Battery Life/ Siedio 3200mAH route Is it worth it C: How Long would you charge your phone for since the PalmPDA is always ON D: The Memory card, since 4GB is nuff for me, (I have an Ipod for Music and it doubles as a data store)Which one and How E: Does 755P support USB Charging through Data cable. (Its easier to find a usb port than a compatible charger) F: Headphones/Handsfree (Wired one, I m one radiation crazy nerd) G: THe overall verdict for a person now happily enjoying the third of the Nokia CDMA 62xx Series, I ve literally destroyed the 6255 and 6265 with my Heavy usage at my stint in HDFC, now I am at a less talk and more Man management kind of work profile so 6275 is alive till date. Phew.....let us hope I get replies, pinning my hopes and a Decision based on replies to this mail. regards
