  1. RConnect Software on Laptop

Hi All, I have decided to go with the Reliance RConnect for my laptop. I am going to go with Fixed Wireless Phone as I don't intend to use Wireless Service from Reliance. (Already have Orange in Mumbai) But I do have a problem in hands. I am having a 3 year old Dell Inspiron 4000 Laptop which I bought in US when I was worknig there. The configuration is 700MHz, 256 MB, 50 GB and Win XP Pro SP1, but my CD/DVD ROM is not working anymore. I tried 100s of thing on it and its dead whatsoever. Now the question is how do I get the RConnect software on my laptop. I checked and its about 7 MB. Will it possible to goto Web World and connect my laptop to their LAN and get the software. Please Help Alkesh
  2. New Data PCMCIA Card from Reliance

Hello All Currently I am in Mumbai and want to test the RConnect connection ofr three months. I am already having a cellphone from Orange and I dont want to dump it. On the top of current cell phone I want to try Reliance RConnect using WLL Fixed Line Phone. Well I do have laptop but paying 15K for some PCMCIA card it too much. I am looking for wireless internet connectivity in Mumbai. Currently using Cell phone service from Orange. I thought Reliance will be a good choice. I am thinking about Reliance WLL Phone serive for Internet. Any suggestions? How is the Data Transfer Speed. I know they advertise 114 kbps but I am not sure if you can get it in real life. I will be using the connection for not more than an hour on weekdays and may be for 3-4 hours on weekends. I would like to have suggestions on the minuter package that I should get. I am going to use this for my laptop. Also any suggestions on the Data cable. Can I buy it outside WebWorld ? Any suggestions are welcome. I dont want to invest a lot in basic infrastructure such as PCMCIA card or Data Cable or New phone for GPRS. Thanks Alkesh
