@manuj thank u sir if u can post the procedure or link for rooting [if you want to only install various apps, then you can just root your phone] it will be very helpful. i m a noob as far as rooting is concerned. thanx in advance

hi guys, i am on Ginger Bread 2.3.4 stock rom on om incredible. (thanx parin for the link to the same) my dinc is s-on, i hv never rooted my phone before. i hv checked with unrevoked forever it is not supporting dinc gb 2.3.4 for s-off. i will be most delighted to learn the procedure to s-off my phone. thanx in advance

just getting the update ota 4.08.605.2 installed and restarting...... will post the changes once i go through the update..... got the message ur phone has been sucessfully upgraded to 4.08.605.2

after installation it say ur phone has been sucessfully updated to 4.06.605.3 i don know what it do........ may mods throw some light i think this update has been launched in sep and we have received it now........ @mods may throw some light

hi manuj i was reading somewhere that if we upgrade to gb 2.3.4 with s-on, then unrevoked will not work as it does not support gb. however reading ur post it appears that u hv updated to gb 2.3.4 with s-on and then downgraded it using the process in the thread u hv posted. i hv updated to gb 2.3.4 (provided by parin - it is official verizon gb 2.3.4) with s-on and hv never rooted my phone before. is the method provided in the post linked by you will work for me.......... thanx in advance.........

sir, this will work only if the phone is already s-off but my phone is s-on so this method is not for me....... thanx anyways......

There is a bug in the update. After updation, phone thinks ur dinc internal storage is SD card. And moves all apps to internal storage. Gurus any solution..... Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk R u s-off or s-on. Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk

my phone after update is working fine....... only problem i faced was not able to sync my phone with outlook........ seems i was using the old version of htc sync. updated htc sync and my phone synced with outlook............. on 2.3.4 and exploring............. varun

many thanx to parin @parin i m now on 2.3.4 still getting the hang of it.................. one thing all my apps are gone........... not an issue will get them........ varun

The leaked firmware is buggy. Recommend not to update as yet. Wait for the issues to resolve. Maybe we shall get an official update soon I am not sure if it is really buggy as I have upgraded my dinc to 2.3.4 from this link http://www.androidpo...oid-incredible/ IMO i guess it is great no issues till now I have it since say last 15 days and i have noticed increase in speed and battery performance. However battery performance boost is negligible. Also I have overcome the infamous issue of low disk space on my phone. Now I am able to exploit my phone memory and no error comes up if I install a few more apps on it. P.S My phone is still no rooted and it has S On hope it helps. plz post the detailed procedure....... thanx in advance

nice info........ but my i am interested in ota update.......... as i am not rooted.......... and prefer stock rom........ what is the procedure of ota update (how verizon / htc decides which user will get ota update) and since we are not on verizon network, where do we stand as regards ota update is concerned...........
