friends i odin D710USEL29_20120105151142_Stock.zip did a hard reset all wipes and i started getting the update of ics now i am on stock ics and everything is just fine . sms backup is definetely crashing also viber is crashing but i think that is the problem with the app.

updated to 1cs, i was on prerooted stock el29 got ota updated, working perfectly without any issues but had go for a hard reset and wiping everything after the update , super user is still there but shows as a rom app and cannot be removed also the phone is no longer rooted.

I updated using the zip file and my phone is working simply great, battery life also looks to be b etter than froyo and no issues with the gps , I am getting a fix sitting inside my house. Now can anyone help me, I want to remove the sprint apps, how to do that, and for rooting which method shall I use.

Received sprint notification today for updating but no update, am I missing something?

can any one plese help i upgraded my fascinate from ed01 to ed05. now my phone does not show on qpst , and gives a message of 'phone did not answer' on cdma workshop so i am not able to put in the prl and other evdo settings to the phone , where am i wrong can anyone please help.

i have said before also root has a problem with epic, i tried rooting and have lost my epic twice thanx once got it repaired from the company , second is still lying dead with me, i'll say ec05 stock is excellent, stick with it , no problem at all.

Still not possible on epic.

Do you have a backup of your nam settings?, if yes write them

Dear abhi I think I know what u r missing now try doin it as I say First put your phone in diag mode , than connect it to qpst and see which com port it is connecting to. Close qpst and start cdma workshop now first connect the phone to cdma and select the com port than by clicking the connect tab connect the phone than click on read tab you will see all your phone details appearing on the left which now proves that u r connected, go to security tab and put your spc and click on send , u wil get a message saying phone is unloced now do the nv write process, u will get the message to send spc but ignore it and click on ok. You will get a message in the bottom saying 36 items written successfully, now shut down cdma , it will ask to rest phone press ok and your phone will reboot. U r done. Same way u can write the prl.

you must be missing something , or maybe your area is not having evdo yet.

the old one which i had got repaired from samsung US is now online , the new one which just got bricked has to be sent to US , i have 2 of them.

+ 1 for hetal bhai my old epic is again online. desperately looking for someone flying to US....

no sprint had nothing to do with this it is pure and only samsung.

i cannot say that HTC will be giving that service or not.

i called up samsung US cust.care and had a open chat with the guy that i am from india and was using epic here in india which some how i have bricked and won't start what can be done about it. can i send it for repairs , he checked the meid and said that i was in warranty and i will have to send the handset to US , he said that the handset will go back to its original state that is locked with sprint and they won't be able to ship it back to india, so they need a local US address for shipping it back , which will be done within 5 days of recieving the handset by the company. i told them that it was fine with me and i gave them a local US address, he lodged a complaint and gave me complaint no. which he said must be stated on the pack and in the pack in which i am sending the handset. the handset was to be sent without battery ,back cover and the sd card. i.e. just the hanset. on disconnecting the phone i recieved 2 mails , one from samsung and 2nd. from UPS. My friend got the delievery on the 3rd. day and as his father was coming back to India after a few days , he sent it back to me in india. thats it . now i am having it registered and looking for someone who is flying to US for a few days so that i can send and other handset which i just bricked there.

it took me more time as a sent it to us with the parents of one of my close friend's friend , they shipped it to samsung from us on a airway bill provided to me by samsung at the time of lodging the complaint , i lodged a complaint on the phone from india and got a mail immediately with all the details like complaint ticket no. and airway bill of UPS. they again recieved the phone in working condition with ec05 company loaded within 5 days, those people were coming back to india after 20 days so brought the handset with them .

they need 5 working days for any handset that is what they aid, but cannot ship it back to india , need a us shipping address.

yes done that once sent my epic to samsung us got it repaired free of cost no courier charges also . ok but you need a us address for that. sprint no. not required.
