babajee.. have mentioned the issues few posts back and did as advised by rajan kaka.. put the battery on external charger for approx. 4 hrs... Voila.. it worked after putting in handset.. a great sigh of relief, when I saw white screen with HTC logo.. it seems like my battery is culprit as its a bit swelled.. tapped from my phone...

UPDATE : tried the last step first.. charged battery using external charger.. it worked.. phone is back to life.. thank you so much kaka.. now looking for battery for evo 3d. seems like battery is near to end of life.. did a table test & found the battery is swelled.. tapped from my phone...

^ true.. because after handset transfer request, OTAF flag needs to be checked in Reliance's system. Although, one can activate the phone by manually inputting MIN, but in Reliance's system, OTAF flag will remain unchecked.. whenever you call to Customer Care / Visit RW, they say, your phone is not activated yet..

It was being used by my wife.. she forgot to charge it day before and it was discharged and switched off.. when she put on charger, after sometimes, when she tried to switch it ON, the soft touch buttons lit up, but no display on screen..

the MDN only gets de-activated, if not adhering Rs. 200 Recharge condition, in six month, but not terminated..

It is always advisable to cross the xerox copies and write the purpose clearly like "xxxxxxxx (address proof / id proof) given for verification of MDN (xxxxxxxxxx). Make sure that some of the part of handwritten content overlaps the scanned image (leaving less chances of getting it re-copied and reusing it). BTW: Is it Maximum 9 connections / ID (person) / Operator or Maximum 9 connection / ID (person) / ALL Operators. Is WLL included in that ? I seriously doubt that there is any check & audit mechanism in place available with telcos, wherein they can check the allotted no. of connection to unique name / id. It can be done for individual operator, but not collectively.

also, RE-OTAF request cannot be completed, if the handset is like Moto Razr XT912 and there is no other option to RE-OTAF. One can visit RW or RMS & ask the executive to place a RE-OTAF request on his MDN. Visiting is required, as the CCEs sitting in Callcentre's are not enough knowledgeable or they do not want to explore or they do not have access to such options..

Blank CDMA OMH RUIM card charges are Rs. 4.00, in case you are buying new card or upgrading from Non-OMH to OMH. if there is any issues related to existing RUIM, be it OMH or Non-OMH, its free. last week got my GSM # transferred to Nano SIM, then i paid Rs. 25.00. Haven't enquired about replacement GSM (Normal) SIM card..
