^ dear hitesh, can you please confirm the source.. Its not at all possible to activate new 1x data services on HSD device as all the RSNs of HSD device is mapped for EVDO services & only EVDO plans can be activated on the EVDO devices.. so the solution you've mentioned is not possible.. correct me if am wrong..

Headsets are always suggested for long calls in CDMA.. i always keep my headset & data cable with me as my calls, sometimes lasts for 3+ hrs..
-
you're absolutely right dear.. you can choose 1x/HSD/Hybrid, but thats limited to the availability of Network Bandwidth.. example : in lucknow (UP), certain areas are not HSD enabled, that means, entire city is not HSD enabled..

How You Handle Calls missed due to active data connection?
aalok replied to phonegeek's topic in Data services
Call Divert Activation & Deactivation Codes : Immediate *301<cell no.> - Activate *302 - Deactivate When Busy *305<cell no.> - Activate *306 - Deactivate When Not Reachable *303<cell no.> - Activate *304 - Deactivate To cancel all call diverts *308 -
^ Not possible my dear, as your device got activated under HSD (High Speed Data) PREPAID category, you can not access 1x Unlimited data on it & in BB+, there is nothing as UNLIMITED..

How You Handle Calls missed due to active data connection?

^ Call forwarding to other number will do but it attract charges as per your voice plan.. however, you'll have to check the connectivity between Reliance & other Operator, like, for me, am not able to divert my RCDMA calls to my BSNL GSM No. You can check it by dialing *301<Cell No>, if the IVR returns you the message "Please Check the no. you've dialled", then you can not get the diverted calls.. Reason to edit : typo error -

^ i use to forward my calls to my other prepaid no. in that situation by dialing *3019xxxxxxxxx.. thats my workaround for this.. however text messages still deliver on my postpaid no. -
Source To help the cellphone users to use up to four phone numbers in a single handset, without even having to buy a multi-SIM one, the U.S. based Motorola is in talks with all Indian telecom service providers to launch iSIM. iSIM is a flexible wafer that can be attached to the original SIM. This allows the user to access three other numbers on the same handset. Talking to Business Standard, Subhendu Mohanty, Motorola (India) Country Head (Home & Networks Mobility) said, "We are in talks with all Indian players for our intelligent SIM (iSIM) application. We hope to strike a deal in the second quarter of this financial year." Explaining about iSIM, he said that it is based on a flexible wafer that can be attached to the subscriber's original SIM providing additional services that can be controlled via SIM tool kit (STK), allowing third-party developers to build applications and services. The users who will use IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity), can switch between different phone numbers provisioned to different networks, or the same network, without changing SIMs. The company believes that IMSI is a unique, usually 15-digit, number associated with mobile users. It is stored in the SIM inside the phone and is sent by the phone to the network. According to Mohanty, the new application is expected to pick up very fast in Asian markets, since the trend of one person keeping two mobiles is quite popular here. The future of iSIM looks bright as according to research done by Strategy Analytics, dual-SIM phones would capture seven percent of the total mobile phone market by 2014.

Hi, am facing a strange problem in my HTC P3000 aka wave, which was having y2k16 problem but got fixed with the tweaks provided by respected gurus.. Now the problem is with the SPB Backup, earlier i used to backup on as & when required mode, but since couple of days, i switched to scheduled backup mode (everyday at 04:00 am & to keep 2 backups only) now the problem is if it does backup today i.e. on 11.04.2010 @ 04:00 am, but now its showing next backup schedule as 1/7/80 4:00:00 am @ home screen.. Is there any workaround to get it fixed or should i rollback to manual backups.. pls. help...
