Hi
Trying to establish a Rconnect dailup from Nokia 6088 (DKE-2 USB Cable), Downloaded the Data Suite that contains drivers for the cable and the modem
Everything installed smoothly, oddly the data suite was on COM5 while the Nokia 6088 modem was COM4 (Win XP2, SP2).
Tried to set up dialup connection to #777 on the modem - it gives an error 777 when dialling.
Tried uninstalling Data suite and modem and just reinstalling the DKE2 and modem. Didn't work - Windows refuses to recognise the DKE2 installation unless its via data suite.
Tried fooling WinXP to think it was a standard modem by just uninstalling modem and then re-installing as standard with 115200 bps etc
This time I get a 628 error!
The R Connect guys tell me the 6088 modem is unsupported while Nokia guys say its BS and I must have got a setting wrong.
Don't think so because I've installed and used RConnect off different Nokias and different systems with similar procedures
No possibility of conflict because this is a new system
What am I doing wrong or is there a genuine problem with support?
Modem diagnostics log below suggests there's a problem
Appended below - would much appreciate a solution/ info
