all dudes out there, stop dreaming about unlimited downloads.... All isp are charged on the basis of data transfer when they connect to other gateways, so ISPs have no option but to put a cap on the download limit. Atleast thats the situation now

this could be a serious problem...... i would suggest you to stop using these phones immediately, also i would advice you to have the phones checked for their radio frequency emission levels. Replace them if they are above the normal levels. Nokia should be able to help you out in this regard. also, if you are at location where the signal strenght is weak, your phone will operate at higher power and higer emission levels. also phones with internal antennas have this problem, they operate at higher powers, another suggestion is that avoid touching the part of the handset where the internal antenna is located. You can try using the handfree as an interim solution to your problem.

simply put, reliance will get more spectrum for its services, However this spectrum can only be used by phones which support the 1900 Mhz band.

in US most handsets are pre provisoned with select telecom carriers... and probably thats why RIM CC says they may not work.. If you can get unprovisioned handsets then i see no reason why they should not work with Reliance

those idiots at cc know nothing, even if u mention that the info is on their website, they refuse to acknowledge that and say that users will be informed through relevant media channels

the two points are pretty self explanatory. Time bound, means billing will be based on Minutes of usage and Volume bound means billing will be on amount of data transferred (i.e downstream only). But these days broadband operators do not charge for Time Bound, otherwise the very concept of "always on" internet is defeated. These days ISPs charge for the bandwidth opted for and/or amount of data transferred. Most operators would keep on the cap of amount of data transferred as they (i.e the ISPs) themselves are billed by Gateways on the basis of volume of data transfered. But since BSNL has already set up (and also reliance) its own gateway, it'll be interesting to see what their pricing would be.

GSM users can send sms only upto 160 characters, even though nokia and some other manufacturers have handsets that support larger messages, u'll be billed more for longer messages i.e for every 160 characters u are billed for a sms.

agree with you totally, i've been seeing the newspaper ads for a week, but no mention on their website..... but i think they have launched in a few cities and are accepting regitrations for the same... lets wait and watch how it turns out to be

sure both have been released, lg rd 6130 is already there on the website, the price is not mentioned but its for 6999 (source CC). ALso the 6000 has been released for 9999 (Source CC).
