no buddy, i got my software upgraded in 7130 and now the network reception strength is much better than it used to be

nokia is best.my friend has a 2300 with fm and poly tunes and it rocks.its price is 5200.also if you want real rough use of the phone i suggest 3310 or 3315.

well the hardware itslef is very wrong,and most buggy software.i used to own sch n191 and i shifted to color bcos n191 supported only 140 characters sms.other than that n191 is a gem of a phone. RD7130 so far 1) I have replaced the pcb 3 times 2)I replaced the whole phone 3 times.(i caught the LG marketing head to get this done) 3)I replaced battery (both batteries ) 3 times so far. since my rconnect usage and rworld usage is heavy, the phone battery stoops down and i wonder what quality standards they maintian.

Well whatever, the quality of the handset will be a POO,as i experience in 7130

well Code you said that. LG customer care is best as i got this handset 7130 with me replaced 3 times and battery 3 times too.but the qulaity of handsets remains questionable.see the nokia handset,it does not seem to have too many probs.i would go for the nokia 2280 if there were poly tones..............

but there still no value for money service for internet from reliance as i told u hutch offers gprs for rs 499 flat a month in chennai.

Hey code, upgrade to RD713F17. it is available with LG now. the new software is marvellous as the reception is much better and clearer.also the phone is less buggier now.reception is almost comparable to nokia now.and battery life is much much higher than what it used to be.LCD has become sharper.and use bitpim for all the software changes needed in the phone.

hey guys i have upgraded. now the battery lasts MUCH longer. and Reception is Clearer and Finer. very good network access after i upgraded the phone sw the phone does not get too hot also. great new software

well guys there is new software version from LG RD731F17 they say they have solved most network probs. hmmm lets see i will upgrade today if possible

usb cable can never charge the phone buddies.the maximum current that can be drawn from a single cable is too less to charge the phone battery.serial cable is better as it is simpler and cheaper for pc use .the usb cable is intented to laptop users, cos on most laptops only usb ports are available.

when sms comes sometimes, or during rworld connections, it hangs the phone. only way to come out from these errors are to remove battery and place it back.

you can change it in the security menu of the phone itself. why you need biptim for that?

No Ashok matey. its not like that. there is some equation they use for this. i was using that for around some 12 days and i was charged only 86.45 rupees. you can deactivate the service anytime by dialing *4120

guys, look at this after u activate rconnect by *412, 1) Install the drivers 2) use continue anyway for windows driver signing question 3) after installation of drivers reboot as commanded by the software 4) dont connect the phone to data cable or data cable to pc 5) let the pc reboot and POWER YOUR PHONE OFF 6) after the reboot, the installation sw pops up again. 7) Now POWER THE PHONE BACK ON, CONNECT THE PHONE END OF THE CABLE TO THE PHONE, AND USB END TO COMPUTER 8) Wait some time for windows to launch hw detected stuff( if this does not come, repeat step 7), and use continue anyway for windows driver signing issue 9) after the driver point, the installation sw waits some time and installs your phone as modem. remember one thing IF YOU DONT POWER YOUR PHONE ON AND CONNECT THE DATA CABLE, IT WONT WORK. EVEN IF YOUR PHONE IS POWERED ON DURING AND AFTER STEP 6, POWER IT OFF AND POWER IT BACK ON.this will solve all troubles hope this helps
