I want to know what is the process of subscribing braodband+ plans on my samsung corby speed handset. Relaince customer care Reliance web world, all are confused, they all give different versions. Also does any one knows if it supports high speed interent on the in-phone browser or will it work as a modem only

I recently got the samsung corby speed firmware updated as well as got the mobile tv software reloaded. It now has sms on call reject feature, it has active sync option available, mobile tv works well. UI seems to be a bit more smoother. One bug I noted is the icon for new software comes up in games and more section bu it doesn't display its name. I had to rename it.

I want to know whether there is any setting in Corby Speed by which we can have the SNS in pop up mode. Every where it is being written that corby speed is the cousin of corby touch GSM model. although GSM model has POP up SNS sites but I can't find the same in Corby Speed. Is there some way we could do that or it shall always open up the browser.

you need to activate a plan specially for corby handset by visiting web world or mobile store. then u will receive a sms. if you are not able to connect still then call up CC and repeatedly followup. i got it resolved after 4 complaints but experience is awesome even on handset you can feel the speed difference.

keep complaining to CC. they said its a technical issue.tell them that when you connect you are switched back to 1X after trying to connect to EVDO

hey guys finally after complaining to CC 5 times my samsung corby handset finally is connecting on EVO mode. They took 3 days to activate the plan and then 2 more days to resolve the problem of connecting on broadband. So far browsing speed in handset definitely noticeably very fast as compared to 1X. I tried as a modem also for about half hour. browsing speed is definitely much faster as compared to 1X earlier. I downloaded a 12MB file. I got a speed which varied between 28 KB/sec to 60KB /sec. not yet upto 2.4 mbps as claimed. will update you soon on more.

yes I got the OMH sim one day one. It seems to be a technical issue. I called up CC and they confirmed that today they had activated the plan for BB+ for samsung corby but I am still getting 1X speeds. EVO mode is just not connecting. They even told me to create a new profile in browser settings but no help. they have taken a request for the technical problem. let see. How abt you. are u getting BB+ speeds on your phone.

Has anybody been able to get the broadband + plans activated on samsung corby. I applied for activation of evdo service on my handset from by visiting web world. within 24 hrs I receive the message that requested plan is for HSD product and cannot be activated on RIM MDN. now CC people on *355 says that please visit web world again and call us from there. Worst part about the plans are that no night usage plans are applicable for samsung corby users :'(

hey guys, Is anyone having trouble with the free data card shipped with samsung corby. I get errors after every 3-4 days saying there is a problem with the sim card. i just reinsert the card and it starts working again. Also there is one new theory i got from a former samsung mobile engineer. he says if you keep you ringtone/wallpapers which are in use then it consumes more battery power and hence lesser battery backup in routine use...

I want to know if anyone has tried successfully HSD setting on Samsung Corby. I called up CC on * 355 They told me to create a new profile from MENU>SETTING>APPLICATIONS>BROWSER Then in settings give dialing number as #777. username and password as Phone number and leave all other settings as blank and choose the newly created profile. Then they told me to dial *228 and after 4 hrs you can use your high speed connection. On doing so the phone says "your number is already active" and after 40 secs a message comes on screen"Programming unsuccessful" and call disconnects. On connecting( in wap browser or as modem on laptop) the nothing happens, the initial connection shows EV but immediately switches to 1X mode and I can't get the speeds. Has any one successfully been able to get speeds over 2 mbps or even 1 mbps for that matter tks

Not only charging it fully but initially it is suggested that let the battery discharge too fully for first 4-5 times. this makes backup time and battery life extended.

Ankur I was able to do everything. go to the widget section in PC studio.(left most icon on left) from there you can read sms, send sms and a lot of other activites as well.

I purchased it from a samsung dealer. The ysaid reliance will tell you about the plans. yesterday i spoke to reliance people on CC on phone, they said they will give two months rental waiver but taxes shall be borne by the subscriber. for subscribing I need to visit the R mobile store and fill up form and choose a plan. Today R mobile store people say they don't know the specifics, like what are the plans, how to activate. They told me that call up samsung CC, then they said they are still to receive the details pf plan as this is a new launch specific to handset and that the plan can be activated over the phone. Eventually the worst part about RIM there CC makes u suffer

Well its been quite a few months that reliance withdrew the SMS login unofficial page from the net. Now they have introduced the MMS sending option in My RIM section. DOes anyone knows of the SMS page . Has it been changed or it dies not exist now The relaince SMS sending link from internet was very good others third party links are not even 20% reliable. Are there free and 70%or more efficient sms sending sites . <TOPIC MERGED!>

Hi, I recently brought a serial data cable for my LG6130. The problem is that I am not able to transfer anything from my phone to my PC except for my gallery pictures which I have shot . It neither shows the contact nor the sms etc. I have tries the software version from lgmobiles.com , also the version posted on reliance website and also latest version of bitpim. whenever i try to synchronize the two the phone switches off and switches on while giving this message. "unable to connect to the phone. Phone locked or restricted. Synchronization failed. Time : 00:18 sec" Please help me as i need urgent backup of my stuff in the phone

Hi I tried opening up the http://bill.relianceinfo.com/webapp/portal/servlet/MMSLogin to send myself some tones but this site first showed a few errors and then started giving error 404 not found Bad news perhaps relaince has noticed too much traffic through this site. or may be its temporarily down. Hope so.!!!!!!!!!! Any one :else facing the same problem or is it just me. :icon8: :icon8: :icon8: :tongue: :tongue: :tongue: :confused: :confused:

you can go to lgmobiles.com and see if this helps. I also upgraded the s/w and theya told me that there is 1% chance that the PCB will go blank but luckily it didn't so , you must also have been told by them???

Hi I recently got a s/w upgrade for LG 6130 from ver 9 to ver 15. I found a new feature in sms section where you have "SMS groups" under option number 8 but I don't know how to use it. Does any one knows how to use it. Please share is this group sms or what. ?

I tried sending email/MMS to my mobile 91xxxxxxxxx@mms.ricmail.com but it was not coming but by chance when you send en email in the form xxxxxxxxx@mms.ricmail.com MMS does come in the inbox of handset but when you connect it gives a message " MSG cannot be found on MMSC" CC people say that its a technical snag and an upgradde will be needed after version 15. Strange Within 10 mins you have two different versions 1 CC persons says ending from email to phone is a trial service. and the other CC person says its a techincal prob after sorting we will send you a message and you will need to have an software upgrade. Funny Are LG 6130 other users facing the same problem as well. Please share and help. :sad: :confused:
