Eh.. not Classic. Nearly everyone who has one of these Classics, is always in trouble . I was looking to buy SAMSUNG HERO but can't seem to find it anywhere.

Are SAMSUNG Hero & NEXT available as of July 2008 ?

Anyone has any experience with these sets ? How about their: 1.) Battery Backup 2.) Durability 3.) Bugs ? Can I use them with Reliance ? (I hope they are using something like SIM card, the one I am using in my ZTE C335)

I see there is not PINNED topic on Classic series of Reliance. I want everyone to tell us the experience of Classic series. The pros and cons of Classic, your problems, your happy moments with Classic. The moderator can pin this topic, if enough quality posts are gathered here.

Well, I am looking for the same . I have TATA Indicom ZTE C335 and plz don't ever buy this model. Don't ask em for list of problems I have. Just know that it is a Totally stupid model I searched a lot on this forum and the only good suggestion I came across is LG RD3600 while RD3000 has some speaker problems. NOKIA has only one good set: 2112 and that is no longer available. I will buy a new connection very soon as TATA has no TATA-2-TATA cheap calls facility, Reliance is totally free after 496/- of recharge. It is pretty strange in 3000-4000 rupees of range there are no good CDMA handsets while you can find lots of them in GSM. Go for GSM if you can, CDMA service is much worse and pathetic. I use CDMA primarily because of health-concerns only.

I think thats the problem of Reliance Service, not of CDMA. I have TATA Indicom ZTE C335 and have the same problem. My friend has NOKIA Reliance CDMA and he has the same problem ( I heard that this problems exists in Hyderabad, whereas in Punjab, Reliance works great) You were lucky . Actually my ZTE C335 had cost me 1000 + 300 for connection and I have to recharge it everyday. Sometimes, It shows the battery is 50% but if you talk for 3-4 min, the batter goes dead. I have seen lots of others complaining the same about low-end handsets. One thing is sure, with low end handets, you are going to have lots of problems. I will go for LG RD3600 when buying a new connection.

Why not buy LG RD3600 of 1800/- instead of Classic ?

I am using this handset from last 2 months. One of the most 3rd class handsets I have ever used : For a bigger picture of the handset go here. Ring-Tone: It has 32 polyphonic ring tones and No matter which one you choose, 95% of the cases It will always ring-up with only one ring-tone. The ring-tone you chose will ring only 5% of th times Battery-Backup: Battery is a big problem. Not much backup. After a full charge if you talk for 1 hour, battery goes dead. Sometimes it is showing that battery is 50% but when you talk for 3-4 min, it goes down. Keypad-Lock: This is very frustrating problem. Sometimes I just can't lock the keypad. The keypad-lock key just does not work. Slow Processing: The phone is too slow to respond. When you cancel a running call, it takes a 4 times time to cancel the call, 4-5 times of what a normal phone takes Just press the cancel button and wait till it disconnects, that is the thing that is frustrating. I gave this to my friend as he wanted to make a call and after that he asks me Don't you have call disconnect facility in TATA Iindicom Signal Problem: I don't know whether this is TATA Indicom service specific or handset specific problem but sometimes in the middle of the call the singla drops completely and call gets disconnected, all like Black Magic . Sometimes my friends are calling me but my phone does not ring . Some times no one can make a call to me. Almost most of the times I can't make calls to BSNL Mobile, I have to call 7-10 times to make a single call.

Hi guys, I want all of you to share about your experience with low-end LG handsets. That way many people can save and intelligently invest their money in a good quality handset. Examples are sets fall in the range of 1000-4000 rupees like RD3000 and RD3600. I don't have Reliance yet. I want to buy one. You can also discuss a little about other good quality handsets, only in case when you are comparing them with some LG handset.

I want a simple phone with these 2 features: 1.) colors 2.) Polyphonic ringtones. I need No Camera, No FM , I need nothing. Just a simple handset with good battery-backup and no troubles. SO what is your say ?

Every CDMA heats up. I have ZTE C335 TATA Indicom which heats up too much but it heats-up a certain point only. Seems like heating is in CDMA technology

I did lots of Google search and found nothing but complaints for NOKIA 1325

okay, thanks guys. Searching this forums I found that NOKIA is not that good for CDMA. Anyway I heard a lot of praise for NOKIA 2112. Is it good. and what about NOKIA 1325 ? For around 5000-6000, If you guys can assure me the quality of NOKIA CDMA then I can buy it next month, rather than this week.

I am getting LG 3000 and LG 3600 for 1300/- and 1800/- respectively + 300 for new connection. Are these models any good ? If not or what else is your advice ?

okay I got it. It means, no NOKIA for me. BTW, what about NOKIA 1325 ? At their web-site, may models are available, same for TAT Indicom. That doe snot mean all of them are good. Take my ZTE C335 from TATA Indicom, bought in with Rs 1000. totally 3rd class set: 1.) Very poor batter back up. 2.) only 1 or 2 ring-tones ring. It has 32 tones but no matter what you set, it will always ring with 1 or 2. 3.) sometimes its keypad lock function does not work 4.) sometimes it shows missed calls in dialed numbers :\ so, many people have same problemsin RIM handsets. so thats why I asked it here. NOKIA is very expansive I think LG will be a good option then. I am getting LG 3000 for 1300 and LG 3600 for 1800, both color, polyphonic, FM, no camera, + 300 for connection. what you say about those models?

I have ZTE C335 from TATA Indicom, it also heats up very much just after 15 min of talking. I think you will get this feature free with CDMA but remember CDMA does not use harmful radio-waves like GSM. SO I am stickign with CDMA only.

I got it. Actually I was thinking of buying them but now I will not. I already have TATA Indicom connection but there are no cheap prices from TATA to TATA STD calls.
