AT command for Reliance GSM GPRS is AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","rcomnet" --------- GPRS disconnecting after each 1 MB usage This problem not solved yet. I called many times to customer care , but no use.. I don't know Why reliance Behaves like this.. Shame on RELIANCE !!!!

Friends... There are some issues with reliance GSM GPRS . Please check whether the issue solved or not before using GPRS. Issues are.. 1. Wrong GPRS Billing :- Reliance charging Rs 2/MB but according to customercare it is per minute (60 paisa/minute for peak & 30 paisa/minute for offpeak),& not per MB - 2. GPRS (APN:rcomnet) disconnects after each 1 MB usage- If u connect gprs within phone or PC, whenever the total usage (upload/download)reaches 1 MB , gprs disconnects .. ---------------------- Friends.. I complaind the same issue 2 times with customercare ( "with Pressure" ), Within 24 Hrs two times I recieved callback from their Network Team... I told my complaints very well to them ( ie, with GPRS Team) They are good Guys, they checked details very clearly. They registered another complaint with central department , They assured they will solve this issue within 14 Days Within minutes I recieved SMS with complaint No : 116379609. Also available in KERALA (Only with GSM ) Rs 26 = 3 days unlimitted GPRS Rs 107= 14 days unlimitted GPRS Main problem = Automatically disconnecting after each 1MB usage

Friends, Thanks for your great comments.. some more points that you can check.. 1. I cannot use Reliance GPRS on PC & Mobile with "APN : rcomnet" in SIM activated 5 months ago.. But with newly acivated SIM, its working.. So, Try GPRS with Newly Activated SIM. If you call Customercare with this complaint, they will say its your problem, theis side is OK.. & They will give wrong informatios.. 2. GPRS Speed ( small variation in speed ) Browsing = 120-170 kbps Downloading = 210 kbps ping time with rediff.com = 210 ms. 3. If u chack with network connection : Client IP Address : 10.243.xxx.xxx ( Its Local IP : it means , a proxy connection ) If you try with http://www.tracemyip.org/ , u will get My IP address: 124.124.216.xxx My IP country code: IN My IP address country: ip address flag India My IP address state: Karnataka My IP address city: Bangalore My ISP : RELIANCE COMMUNICATIONS 4. Data pulse is per MB (/MB) & not Time based. But Customer care will say its 0.6Rs/minute for peak time & 0.3 Rs/minute for off peak.. and ur billing is correct 5. GPRS Disconnects if you finish 1 MB usage. Then we have to reconnect again.. If any solution to these problems.. please post soon Happy X-Mas to all.. sharafu..

Just got Uninor Kerala SIM There are Two Plans available now ( December-20-2009) 1. With call setup fee Rs 0.39/call + 0.29 Rs/minute as call charge If you call One minute, Call charge = 0.39 Rs + 0.29 Rs = 0.68 Rs (68 Paisa). If you call Two minute, Call charge = 0.39 Rs + 0.29 Rs + 0.29Rs = 0.97 Rs ( 97 Paisa ). If you call Three minute, call charge = 0.39 Rs + 0.29 Rs + 0.29Rs + 0.29 Rs = 1.26 Rs . If you call Ten minutes, Call charge = 0.39 Rs + (0.29 Rs X 10 ) = 3.29 Rs 2. You are correct ... But I am Lucky ...... Do you know why ? I recharged 1 month GPRS pack (95 Rs) on 25th Sep . That time it was unlimitted pack. Tata Docomo changed their plan to 15 Rs ---- 20 MB Free ---- 3 Days Validity 95 Rs ---- 100 MB Free ---- 30 Days Validity only from October 2009 So, Truely Unlimitted for me..
