  5. Rs 10,000 budget without monitor is possible but i won't recommend it as there will be one or the other compromise in system spec. The following config at Rs 13,600 (Without Monitor) is quite good, full featured, speedy, will run everything & should last for a good period. Prices are approx.     What i have experienced practically that sometimes analysis raises more questions than answers.. You really want one? Here it is.. Assumption is that you currently have a Reliance Normal Set DTH Set Top Box and now want to upgrade to an HD/HD DVR from other operators? Don't know what issues you had with Reliance but if looking for an HD Box, don't discard Reliance totally yet.. HD DVR Set Top Box Features/Cost: Tata has higher capacity box. That's relevant only if you'll be recording too much. Otherwise box cost is almost similar for Tata, Reliance & Videocon. HD Box Software Interface: Advantage Tata but not entirely without it's niggles. Still can be termed as better than Reliance/Videocon.. Customer Service/Experience/Promptness: Tata by a long shot and expect that lead to remain. Subscription Cost: Reliance better. Videocon was most economical earlier, not much now. In Tata you'll always pay higher, less liberty/choice of packages. Quality of True HD Channels: All will be same 1080i. No Difference. Quality of Standard Defination Channels: Reliance has better SD Quality as it has more Transponder Space, so applies lesser degrees of compression to SD Channels. Tata/Videocon SD quality poor compared to Reliance. This is critical if much of the viewing will be SD. Future Content/Features particularly HD: Reliance expected to launch more own channels/content (Few already launched) as it is taking media as important future business. More of Western/Hollywood content can be expected. Tata no slouch either but may not be at Reliance level. Are you more confused now?

    Some of the TRUE HD Channels (Not upscaled ones) in India like National Geographic, Some of the Star Channels, Discovery, Some sports channels are transmitted in 1080i. So if you have an HD Set Top Box from any of the DTH Operator, buying a Full HD TV does make a difference instead of HD Ready.

  10. The only difference between the two it seems are.. -S2950 specs say it has no internal memory (which may be a typo) whereas S2500 has 23MB. -S2950 14 MP v/s S2500HD 12.2 MP. Both are HD BTW. S2950 from letsbuy is coming with 8GB SD Card + Camera Pouch for a net cost of Rs 8,299. IMHO you can go for that instead of S2500 at Rs 9,994 from Croma. DualRomX2 is a tool which allows you to have four ROMs on emmc in addition to the one being loaded on the phone. The application uses the phone as an installer so instead of flashing a ROM in order to try it out you can just load it with DualRomX2 and save a lot of time.   25. No doubt Spice Mi 410 is a good phone, ticking all the boxes in specs, Gingerbread available at 14K... But with both Motorola Defy & HTC Desire available at 15.5K, whether the intending buyer will risk Mi 410 just for Rs 1,500? Spice needs to bring down the price to widen that gap.. That may make it a great motivator for value seekers & a Hot Seller..
