Recently Airtel has extended special iPhone 4 Plans to customers of iPhone 3GS 8GB but Aircel has designed new plans for iPhone 3GS which is being marketed at Rs 19990.   14. These are some Smartphone Mobile prices on Ebay India Global Easy Buy.. There may be many more choices but i got tired after shifting through numerous pages and left.. And the cost is for home delivery anywhere in India with import duly, shipping.. Everything.. P.S. Some of this phones may require programming, unlocking, registration etc.. Don't just start ordering unless you know what you are doing.. Why did i put up this list in the first place then? Well.. I think there is a huge mass of "aam aadmi" on CDMA in India who aspire to have a Smartphone but don't have 10K + budget and so continue to use those stupid CDMA handsets dished out by the operators. PROFESSIONAL sellers here at RIMweb should sense the OPPORTUNITY & seriously concentrate on this MASS Market with good volumes. Key to success is to bring some of this handsets at costs which are closer to their TRUE prices in international markets.   15. Few sites sell Monitors online and deals are rare. The best prices are usually found at the local computer market. One very good VFM Monitor ticking all the boxes is Acer S231HL 23" LED. It's Full HD, 16:9 Widescreen, very slim, VGA+DVI+HDMI and price approx Rs 9,500. It's somewhat hard to find in market but real value for the price. One of my relative is using and pretty happy. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has issued notices to all cellular service providers, instructing them to mention the coverage area of 3G in their advertisements. This comes in response to complaints filed by a consumer, regarding poor 3G services by the service provider. Customer Dhaval Valia got into a tiff with Vodafone when he went public - complaining about Vodafone's poor 3G services - and used internet as a medium. Vodafone, in turn, issued a defamation notice, seeking to restrict Valia from maligning the company and allegedly harassing their top management, but later withdrew the charges. Speaking to Mumbai Mirror Valia confirmed receiving a call from TRAI. "After my tiff with Vodafone, I approached TRAI. I wrote to them asking that if a service provider promises something and charges for it but fails to deliver, then what happens? "On Friday, I got a call from a senior TRAI official who told me that notices have been issued to all service providers and that within a week the notification will be uploaded on TRAI's website," he said. On June 3, Mumbai Mirror had reported on how Valia, a media professional and resident of Kandivili, became a celebrity of sorts on Twitter and Facebook after writing about his problems with Vodafone's 3G services and his subsequent bad experiences with the company's customer care department. When contacted, a Vodafone spokesperson said, "We confirm receiving the said communication from TRAI addressed to all operators. After studying the details of the letter, we will take necessary steps to adhere to the stipulated guidelines." Chairman J S Sarma of TRAI confirmed that notices have gone out to all service providers. "We have asked the service providers to furnish details about their 3G coverage. Because 3G services are not available everywhere, they must inform customers about its availability as per area. We are sure that they will follow the guidelines. Of course, it may take them some time to include the same in their adverts and communications," said Sarma. When questioned if non-compliance will invoke any action, Sarma said that it is a direction from the authority and if they do not comply then they will be liable for prosecution.

    The only conclusion i can draw is that your nearest Reliance Tower is heavily overcrowded. Inherently the CDMA technology is designed as such that unlike GSM, the tower won't deny a connection but as more & more people jostle for the limited bandwidth available, it's going to die a slow death in terms of speed. Just try running the same speed test in very early morning hours say around 3-4 a.m at the same place. If you get good enough speed, all izz well. Interestingly whenever i am in a very posh area of Mumbai like Napeansea Road, Pedder Road, Nariman Point, EVDO speeds are better even during peak hours compared to the aam aadmi areas. Understandable because very few of those guys driving BMW's & Mercs in those areas will be using a Reliance CDMA connection and towers are relatively free of congestion. So try testing your EVDO speed in one such area of Delhi also.. This is my alternate practical logic which has turned out to be true over a long period of time.
