PicoHD5.1 - fully functioning media player that fits in your pocket Includes 5.1 audio output, Full HD 1080p Output Source When you look at the spec list for the Crystal Acoustics PicoHD5.1 media player you certainly wouldn't believe that it's no bigger than an SD card reader. Or, indeed, smaller than its own remote control. However, "pico" means small*, and that's exactly what it is. Tiny, in fact. Indeed, there's just enough space on the device for a few inputs and outputs, including digital audio, HDMI, SD/MMC card slot and an USB port, and it is through this last one that you attach an external source as there's (clearly) no internal storage on board. The PicoHD5.1 is compatible with all types of USB memory sticks and FAT, FAT32 or NTFS formatted external HDD drives. It can play a myriad of file types, including MKV, DivX, MP3, FLAC, JPG and BMP, and as it is recognises NTFS, files can be above 4GB in size (essential for 1080p MKVs, for example). Its 5.1 suffix illustrates that, again seemingly in contradiction to its diminutive size, it can play full surround sound audio. But if you want to use it solely with a flatscreen TV, rather than AV amplifier, it is also capable of downmixing Dolby Digital and DTS audio soundtracks to a stereo mix. The PicoHD5.1 costs £49.99 and is available now. Product Website http://www.crystalau...dOW//1R1bBq2Q==

  5. Best GSM Android Phones in India

Best Android Phones in India [April Edition] Source It has been two months since we compiled a list of best Android devices available in Indian Market. We have seen lots of product launches in this period and we expect our new list will be a lot different in high end and mid-range segment, while entry level Android choices might still be the same. Disclaimer: The prices mentioned below are MRPs, online and street prices would be lower. High-end Android smartphones in India: LG Optimus 2X: This is the only dual core Android smartphone available in Indian market right now, although Samsung has announced that Galaxy S2 will reach sometime in May, but till then Optimus 2X is your best bet. With company's confirmation regarding the Gingerbread update for the device, this dual core beauty is a must have if you are looking for a performance giant. Optimus 2X features a 4 inch display, 1 GHz dual core nVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, Android 2.2, 8 MP camera, 512 MB RAM, 8GB internal storage & Expandable external storage of upto 32GB. MRP: INR 30,000 HTC Desire S: HTC recently started selling Desire S in Indian Market, powered by Gingerbread it is one of the few devices with Android's latest smartphone OS version in the country. Although it does not possess the rocking specs as Optimus 2X, it does come with some pretty decent internals at its price. HTC Desire S features HTC Sense, 1GHz Snapdragon MSM8255 processor, dual front and back cameras, and 3.7-inch WVGA display. MRP: INR 25,490 Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc: It is an absolute beauty, by far the best Android smartphone in term of the looks. Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc features 4.2 inch multi-touch screen, 8.1 MP camera with HD video recording, Android 2.3, 1500mAh battery, and 1 Ghz Qualcomm processor. MRP: INR 30,000 Nexus S: Manufactured by Samsung in partnership with Google, Nexus S is a great device for anyone who wants to experience true Android. Nexus S features Android 2.3, NFC hardware, 1 GHz processor, 5MP rear camera with front VGA cam, 512 MB RAM, 16GB internal memory MRP: INR 30,400 Other choices in the segment: HTC Incredible S, Samsung Galaxy S, Dell Venue, LG Optimus Black, Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, HTC Desire HD, HTC Desire Z Mid-Range Android smartphones in India: Motorola Defy: This rugged Android smartphone from Motorola is one of best mid-range Android smartphone available in India. There is one small catch here in the form of Android version, Motorola ship it with Android 2.1 with FroYo update scheduled for sometime this quarter. But considering the Motorola's record with Android updates, I would not suggest this to anyone who wants latest Android version. Defy features Android 2.1, 3.7-inch touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and OMAP 3610 chip running at 800MHz. MRP: INR 18,000 Samsung Galaxy SL: A variant of popular Galaxy S, Galaxy SL leaves out Super AMOLED to sport Super Clear LCD. 6. Haven't use one myself so won't comment conclusively.. (Particularly to match with your rigorous standards... Lolz Just Joking...). Bufallo is major brand in US, Other Asian Countries. But Buffallo, Transcend et all would be very similar in hardware aspect in Economy range. None of them manufacture HDD's... All use HDD from one or the other few HDD manufacturer like Seagate, Samsung, WD, Hitachi etc. Also in this economy range its a Commodity Market out there and not much to differentiate between HDD's also as the technology has matured a lot. All HDD will be having very similar specs & performance & reliability record.. They try to differentiate with the bundled software, quality, shine & shape of the enclosure which i don't care much about. So my mantra, leaving aside those chinese unbranded hdd enclosures, For the Economy Segment, one can go for the cheapest ones among the branded & known without much concern. (Unless one is able to find out some great hidden jewel..) Enterprise Class Drives like Scorpio from WD is another ballgame alltogether.

  8. Mr Satinder, I have a very simple solution for you. Instead of you getting completely educated, doing all this on your own (Particularly when you believe that you are very NEW to all this things), breaking hair in one problem after another (Bound to happen)... Pixi is a kind of a naughty horse... very difficult to ride on... And losing your mental peace in the process... Why don't you approach Mr tushar_163 who is one of the technically knowledgable & helpful seller here. You are at Gurgaon, He is at Delhi. 10. Friends, The Tradus Offer says Minimum Purchase Value of Rs 2,995... It's not that the Single Item Value has to be Rs 2,995.... You can combine two or more items to make Rs 2,995 & then get Rs 1,000 Discount.. Checked it... Works.. I think FEVIN-RAJ was under the impression of a Single item of Rs 2,995 to be eligible and hence went for costlier Rs 3,099 Transcend instead of the cheaper Rs 2,599 Bufallo Both has same 500 GB Capacity..
  11. Nice explanation. +1 Possibilities are really mouth watering. What i am really excited about is this one, Are you trying to say that in the near future, lets say for a High End CDMA Device like the latest Androids with the addition of LTE Chipset >> A Reliance/Tata/MTS subscriber may use Voice/SMS of his respective operator and for data his handset will latch on to MDA's LTE network.. With the same handset and simultaneously?

  13. You won't generally find a very cheap online offer for Blu Ray Burners as it is still a low volume product in India. Best bet would be to get it from the wholesale computer markets like Nehru Place in Delhi & Lamington Road in Mumbai. Indicative Prices for some of the models available in India. LG WH10LS30 Super Multi Blu-ray oem 10x Blu Ray Rewriter Rs 8,000 Sony Blu-ray Internal Disk Writer BD-5300S Rs 8,600 Asus BW-12B1LT 3D Blu-ray 8x Burner Rs 8,700 Pioneer BDR-206BK Internal Blu-ray 12x Burner Rs 10,050
  14. Handset Launches - News Snippets

Nokia Dual Sim Touch and Type Slider Phone C2-06 surfaced in India leaked pictures first on net Source Hackintosh-India got a rare access to secret Nokia's dual sim touch and type phone from a tester in India. The phone had the markings of C0-00 , which confirms this phone will fall in C series of Nokia. Internal device name for bluetooth shows C2-06. The back panel has the device name unmarked. Two important features noticed in this phone were dual sim and touch and type. The camera was a below average 2megapixel without flash, the phone lacked wifi and 3G. The phone seemed to run on Symbian Series 40 6th Edition OS and the touch was very crappy compared to Nokia-X3 02 with it's resistive touch screen We guess if everything goes well with Nokia, this phone might get to market in next few months, lets see at that time whether this device has any improvements.

  17. Android Mobiles From India

Upcoming Micromax Android smartphone A70 leaked Source Indian mobile phone manufacturer Micromax is planning to launch two Android devices in the market soon. We have already talked about Android powered Bling 2 here, which will be targeted to female Android lovers, while company will also have a treat for male consumers in the form of Micromax A70. Bearing looks similar to Google Nexus One, this Micromax smartphone will feature 3.2 inch TFT resistive display, Android 2.2, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, and 1450 mAh battery. While all the features seem good, resistive display is a big let-down, which was also a big problem in company's first Android smartphone Micromax Andro A60. With resistive screen on-board, we wouldn't expect a price more than 7-8K INR. There are no other details available right now, but we are expecting that company will soon officially announce the smartphone. Rumoured Specs on GSM Arena http://www.gsmarena....ax_a70-3930.php

  19. Mukesh Ambani eyes next-generation security business with 4G telecom services 19 APR, 2011, 05.28PM IST,PTI Economic Times NEW DELHI: Next-generation security and disaster management business seems to be next on the radar of Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries, which will utilise its 4G telecom services for this new initiative. Besides, RIL also plans to partner a global major for this new business and is roping in Vivek Lall, formerly a top Indian executive of global defence major Boeing, to head this venture, sources said. "Reliance sees strong synergies in our rolling out 4G Broadband Wireless services and their use for enabling Homeland Security, Safe, Secure & Smart Cities as well as Disaster Management preparedness," a person in the know of the matter said. "RIL plans to partner with global leaders in this domain to bring the latest technologies and innovation," he said, adding that Vivek Lall will be joining to drive these efforts. An RIL spokesperson did not offer any comments. Lall, who was Vice President and India Country Head of Boeing for defence, space and security businesses, recently left the US-based global aircraft and aerospace major. Earlier, he has also served as managing director of Boeing Commercial Airplanes in India. The new initiative of RIL would involve significant investments and details are being finalised, sources said. The group plans to invest USD 4.5-4.7 billion in telecom business over the next five years. It has already spent USD 2.8 billion on acquiring 4G licences and spectrum, which it got last year through acquisition of Infotel. Infotel was the only entity to get pan-India licence in the auction of Broadband Wireless Access spectrum conducted by the government last year. Telecom is among the five main businesses and RIL group expects to focus on in the next 5-10 years. The group is present in energy and retail sectors, while mega plans are underway for telecom and finance sectors. Besides, it has also acquired a strategic stake in a cargo airline founded by aviation entrepreneur Captain Gopinath. RIL is currently in the process of finalising arrangement with leading global technology players, service providers, infrastructure providers, application developers, device manufacturers and others for its 4G telecom service offerings. Globally, also the countries are gearing up to utilise 4G (fourth generation) broadband technology in their homeland security and disaster management practices. In February, the US President Barack Obama announced that his government would spend USD 10.7 billion to build a nationwide 4G broadband network for public safety agencies, including police and fire departments. The US has felt the need for a national broadband network ever since the terror attacks of September 11, 2001.

  21. Updated: Apple Sues Samsung - Apple Wins Patent Case

Apple thinks it has patents over everything slim, white & with inviting curves... Thank God!!! The patents do not extend on living things... Otherwise we would have paid through the nose everytime watching Katrina Kaif in "Sheila Ki Jawani" or Slice Ad "Sabar ka fal mitha hota hai" Apple paid $ 6 billion in 2010 to Samsung for parts purchase & accounted for 4% of Samsung revenues. May be it wants a nice volume discount. If Samsung wants to play hardball, it can disrupt Apple's production & supply chains.
  22. Palm Pixi Plus by default is locked to sprint or Verizon depending upon the model you have. When this Handset is used with Indian Mobile Network, you cannot simply upgrade to a newer version of palm OS provided by Palm. It will get stuck at palm profile stage. You need to use a version called Bypass ROM which ignores this stage and will work on your phone. Look at this topic in the forum to check if there is an updated version of Bypass ROM available for your phone. http://www.rimweb.in...ms-in-one-post/ Update to that ROM and it will not get stuck at Palm Profile stage.
  23. Who Is The Corrupt One? Amar Singh Or The Bhushans?

If (It's Only IF? )Bhushans may have been Corrupt... The comparison between their & Amar Singh's corruption would be A Drop of Water to The Entire OCEAN... Obviously it's a slander campaign being run by the government through back channels to derail The Lokpal Bill Drafting Committee... Amar Singh being nowhere politically significant/visible is glad to be of assistance..
  24. Summer Trainees At TRAI

The real issue is not about appointment. Even RBI Governor is appointed by the Government. That has not resulted in it's powers/efficiency being curbed in any manner. Actual issue is how much Independent Authority the legislation governing a Regulator gives to it. That decides the actual effectiveness/un-effectiveness of the Regulator. All governments professing liberalization has actually not been very enthusiastic in letting go most of their discretionary powers... Telecom Regulator is less effective because most of the crucial Powers have been kept in DOT's domain. Had it been otherwise, the same body with the same head would be a different entity altogether.. And that's one reason why recently people across India reacted so strongly to the government's vision of Lokpal bill... They could see through the game of creating another toothless tiger on paper..
