First look at the OGT Tablet -- The World's Thinnest Android Tablet androidcentral Ask any analyst, technophile, or blogger -- this summer we expect a plethora of Android tablets. Some will be good, some not so much, but the OGT Tablet is something we're going to be keeping our eye on. Not only do they bill it as "the world's thinnest Android tablet" at a trim 7 mm and only 550 grams in weight, it has some very interesting specs. Besides the 1 GHz processor (unknown make at this time) and the 16 GB and 32 GB flavors, the OGT tablet comes with a working microSD card slot out of the box and the industry's first true color display at a whopping 188 ppi (pixels per inch). That's more than the Xoom's 152 ppi, and a lot more than the iPad's 132 ppi. Add in a 5MP rear camera and a 3MP front-facing cam, and both a 3G and Wifi only model, and this one already stands out from the crowd. Or at least it promises to. Will the OGT Tablet be one of the summer's winners? We'll have to wait and see. Product Website http://www.ogtmobile.com/

Kohler's Numi $6,400 high-tech toilet does most of the dirty work for you Engadget We've seen some pretty fancy cans in our time, but perhaps none as tricked out as Kohler's latest $6,400 john. The Numi does just about everything for you, aside from the stuff that, well, only you can do. Looking something akin to a fancy pop-top waste bin, Numi comes complete with a self-opening and closing lid so you never have to touch the toilet seat; a self-cleaning bidet with adjustable controls for temperature and water pressure; heating elements to keep your toes and tush toasty; an illuminated panel for nighttime rendezvous; a built-in speaker system that connects to a remote docking station to ensure only you know exactly what you're doing in there; and a deodorizing element that s**ks air from the bowl through a charcoal filter. Of course, no connected appliance would be complete without a touchscreen, and the Numi's no exception; it has a touch panel remote that you can use to set to your specifications. Now, that's what we call a porcelain throne. Promo Youtube Video http://youtu.be/R8jCP_-oBgQ Kohler Product Page http://kohler.com/nu...e/#control.html

Exclusive: TATA Indicom New EVDO HSIA Plans & Handset Offers
rajanmehta replied to rajanmehta's topic in Other Network / Cellular Providers
^^^^^^^ I don't see any NUC (Network Usage Charges) there... NUC means you would need to pay TWICE for using the SAME DATA ALLOWANCE... First As The Base Cost of The Pack & Second NUC on the quantum of Data Consumed on a Per MB Basis What page 17 of the presentation says is DIFFERENT by explaining Content Charge & Access Charge (Data Usage). It is giving illustrative example how you are charged in case of Paid Content like Live Mobile TV, Movie on Demand, App Portal Downloads, etc. 1st Charge: The Amount To Be Paid For One Time Weekly/Monthly Subscription Fees for Live TV OR Single Time Cost For Each App when downloaded. 2nd Charge: Whenever you access such Content, The DATA consumed in doing so will be deducted from the DATA Plan Allowance Your Plan Offers. i.e. If Your Data Plan Allowance is 1 GB & watching Live TV Consumes 60 MB in an Hour, 60 MB is deducted... Practically It is defining Access Charge as Data Usage Deduction.... -

BlackBerry, Skype, Gmail and now 3G come under the scanner of Indian Government
rajanmehta replied to faizone's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
What makes one seething in anger is that this government have not been able to inflict any worthwhile damage to Pakistan... The fountain head from which all terrorism has come to India in last few years... Even in light of Rana"s confession in US Court that it was ISI behind the Mumbai Terror Attacks... Now it wants to resume cricket ties with Pakistan and wants to send Dhoni's team there... When asked about this double standards.. External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna sheepishly said... Let Terrorism be there... We will work in the spirit of Sharm-AL-Sheikh Declaration... We want to normalise relations with Pakistan So it is now hellbent on punishing the Victims instead of perpetrator in the name of this National Security Drama... It is impotent to do anything to the root cause and doing this worthless theatrics.. There is a folk proverb in Gujarati "નબળો માટી બૈરી પર શૂરો" Translated A Weak Man Is Powerful On His Helpless Wife. Here this government is the weak man & we citizens.... -

BlackBerry, Skype, Gmail and now 3G come under the scanner of Indian Government
rajanmehta replied to faizone's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
DoT bans Nokia's pushmail; telcos to put monitoring system 14 Apr, 2011, 07.35PM Economic Times NEW DELHI: In a set back to mobile handset manufacturer Nokia, the government has asked telecom service providers to bar company's proposed -- pushmail or powermail -- service till it put in place a legal monitoring system. "In view of the Intelligence Bureau's report, Department of Telecomunications is requested to advice the Telecom Service Providers not to launch Nokia's proposed pushmail/powermail service without putting in place monitoring facilities to the satisfaction of the LEAs," Ministry of Home Affairs said in a communication to Department of Telecom. Messaging services from Nokia involve push email for companies and consumers and enables mobile users with compatible Nokia cellphones to manage multiple email accounts from widely used email services like Yahoo!, Gmail, Rediff to Sify. The communique came at a time when Blackberry services are under the government's wrath due to the security related issue for not providing a solution to intercept its Enterprise mail services. The government had asked BlackBerry-maker Research in Motion (RIM) to come out with a satisfactory solution to intercept its Enterprise mail services by March 31, which has been already expired. Nearly 50 per cent of Nokia's E Series business phones sold in the country get activated for e-mails. These developments came at a time when the home ministry has asked the telecom and IT departments to overhaul existing legal frameworks to broaden the meaning of telecom/internet services. The telecom department and the IT ministry have been asked by the home ministry to ring in the necessary changes in the Indian Telegraph Act of 1885, the Information Technology (Amendment) Act, 2007, the Rules under Telegraph & IT Acts to ensure operator compliance with the demands of the security agencies. Once the necessary amendments come, it will be mandatory for telecom service providers to have the systems in place to deliver authorised intercepts based on telephone numbers, device identity, email IDs, IP addresses or keywords to the national security agencies on real-time basis. -
Please suggest one of the 3 shortlisted handsets
rajanmehta replied to ddbajaj's topic in Handset Suggestions
@ddbajaj 1. There is an Official Used Reliance Blackberry 8330 available for sell in forum HERE . You should be able to use BIS & EVDO on it. But activating EVDO even for Official BB has been a pain for many. 2. LG Optimus S is available from tushar_163 at Rs 10,499. See his signature in THIS post for contact details. This is nice middle level android with good features if you are not a Power User. Flash in browser & demanding game play won't be possible. 3. Have not seen HTC Incredible available below Rs 10,000 anywhere. This is the most feature rich among the 3 and has been one of the most liked android handset. HTC has announced that It will get Android 2.3 Gingerbread Update in future too. Recommendation Based on Your Shortlist. -Get HTC Incredible if you are getting it below Rs 10,000. If not and want to stick to 10K Budget, Go for LG Optimus S. Would suggest Android OS over Blackberry NOW. My Recommendation. -If Budget can be stretched Upto Rs 13,900, Get Samsung Fascinate From Hetal Patel which is MEID registered & EVDO enabled. Hope Your Confusion gets sorted out Now. -
Would you care to describe how it got broke? So other mortals in awe of Gorilla Glass know better how frail or strong it is?

Gingerbread apparently confirmed for the Epic 4G by internal Sprint document Source A quick peek at an internal page at Sprint lets us know that the Epic 4G apparently will be seeing some of that sweet Gingerbread goodness, as build ED12 is being tested. It's an .rdf file, so the formatting in your browser leaves a bit to be desired (see for yourself via the source link) but the words "OSName GoogleAndroid" and "OSVersion Android 2.3" are right there in black and white. It's been speculated that Samsung would have a much easier time developing Gingerbread than they did with Froyo, and we have already heard that the international version of the Galaxy S should be seeing Gingerbread sometime soon. And that's a good thing -- a lot of the behind-the-scenes changes take much better advantage of Samsung's Hummingbird chip and the performance difference should be pretty major. Of course there's no word or even an estimate of when to expect this.. Sprint Internal Document Link

^ ^ Leave aside Android, Micromax GC360 is similar to those chinese CDMA+GSM dual sim and won't be having Gmail Sync option AFAIK.. @kirtan. Does your Micromax GC360 came with its PC Sync Software? Then export Nokia Contact to Outlook & Import in PC Sync... If not, only a rudimentary method comes to mind... while not 100% pain free but still may save 50% manual effort... 1. Put your SIM card in Nokia Phone & Select Contacts From Nokia Phonebook till the capacity of the Sim (Mostly 100 to 250)... Now copy the contacts to SIM.. 2. Put this SIM in Micromax, Select All Contacts & Copy to Micromax Phonebook from SIM (There is an option in this phone to do so) 3. Empty the SIM... Put again in Nokia... Go to 1 & repeat till all contacts are copied.. By this method if a contact has more than 1 number, only 1 may get saved & rest may have to be entered manually...
