Irresistable Deals In Electronics, Gadgets, Mobiles, PC Hardware

^ ^ ^ As of today, Nexus 7 at Rs 9,000+ mentioned on back page makes more sense then Kindle Fire HD at Rs 11,999. You're paying nearly Rs 2,000+ for the free Huawei 3g dongle. In addition, Kindle Fire runs amazon custom android without google play store (Last i heard it was based on Android 4.0 ICS). Unless you want to jump into amazon app/content ecosystem, Nexus 7 is preferable with latest android and better hardware.- 6,376 replies

Reliance Jio - Pan India 4G / LTE network
rajanmehta replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
Reliance Jio gets DOT nod for unified license for voice calling services Source Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Jio Infocomm has received DOT’s approval of its application to get a unified service license, which will now allow the operator to expand its services to even voice-calling services pan-India. So far the operator owned airwaves for broadband wireless access (BWA) in India. According to an ET report, Reliance Jio has been asked to pay a one time fee of Rs 1,673 crore for the unified license, which is required by an operator to provide multiple service across circles in India. Apart from the aforementioned entry fee, the company has also been asked to pay Rs 440 crore as performance bank guarantee and additionally, Rs 22 crore as financial bank guarantee, which makes brings the total to Rs 2,135 crore. We know that Reliance Jio is betting big on VoLTE on 4G and has for long been testing its 4G network in India. Despite being late to the telecom party, it has a huge advantage over incumbent players considering that is the only company to have a pan-India license to provide 4G services with its pan-India block of 20MHz spectrum in the 2.3 GHz band. Airtel is the other big 4G player in India. This approval comes after the Telecom Regulatory of India recently issued guidelines for unified licenses for operators. These guidelines replaced the existing system of United Access Service License (UASL), and have been made mandatory for all telecom companies. It will basically allow a telecom operator to offer any service under one permit instead of holding different licenses for different services. -

How To Use Rs 16 Whatsapp Pack Without Data Usage By Other Apps?
rajanmehta replied to Tushar Gupta's topic in Miscellaneous
^ ^ ^ There is an easier way without root or installing any firewall app. Since you have android 4.2, you can do this from the OS itself. Go to System settings / Tap Data Usage. In the next screen, enable mobile data limit. Put any higher limit then your actual consumption, like 4-5GB. Come to data usage screen where apps are listed with their mobile data usage. Tap on any app, scroll to the end and enable Restrict background data checkbox. A popup will come up saying "This feature may cause an app that depends on background data to stop working when only mobile networks are available", tap OK. Repeat the process of restricting background mobile data for any other app desired. Remember the app may still end up using data if you open & run it in foreground and also on WiFi network. -

^ ^ ^ Although Videodon model is Full HD V/s Toshiba HD Ready models mentioned, i would still suggest Toshiba for following reasons, There will be a perceptible difference between Videocon & Toshiba regarding all parameters like picture quality / color reproduction / digital video processing engines. As you mentioned TV is meant for your relative in village & you're looking for the cheapest one so if most of the viewing will be in Standard Definition Cable TV, Full HD & HD ready hardly makes any difference. Full HD for SD viewing may turn out to be worse in some cases. Even for Full HD content if viewing distance is between 8-10 feet away for a 32" & lower screen size, human eye is unable to differentiate between HD ready & Full HD. -
Times of India Campaign - Missed Call Alert Against Ordinance That Saves Criminal Politicians
rajanmehta replied to Vinod Nayak's topic in The Lounge
<< Above Original Topic Title Edited >> Do title the topic properly and also not in all CAPITALS as you always consistently do. _____________________________________________________________________________________ On Topic: Although the cause is good, Times of india as a newspaper has no credibility left being a mouthpiece & propaganda machine of the government. Runs so many fake / motivated stories, it has even surpassed infamous tabloids of UK. Being an outright commercial business, i will not even be surprised if later on we will come across TOI ads targetted at advertisers saying we have so many category A, B, C, D readership spread across india based on response to the missed call campaign. -

The query was for 16GB model. When that is available for Rs 21,329 & Rs 21,913, why would one buy 8GB model for Rs 19,990? Because the 8GB listing mentioned is Deal of The Week item, so coupon may not be applicable.- 6,376 replies

So this will work on Reliance CDMA (calls/sms/evdo) ? Does it have RUIM or we have to get it registered etc. The ebay listing seller has ZERO feedback as seller and 6 as buyer. Probably a hoax listing to cash on iFool syndrome prevalent during every iphone launch!

iOS 7 - Concept - A Blend of Jellybeans And Windows 8
rajanmehta replied to ::: VA :::'s topic in iOS (Apple)
How to get free iTunes Radio outside the US Source Apple’s Pandora-like service is available on iTunes 11 and is a part of the music app on iOS 7. To get iTunes Radio now, you have to create a new Apple ID, with the country selected as United States. The best part is you can create a free Apple ID without having to fill in your credit card details. One way is to do it through iTunes. The first step is to ensure that the country selected on the Store is Unites States. Go to the App Store next and buy a free app (it’s important to buy a free app for this method to work) and on the following pop up window, click on ‘Create Apple ID’. Follow the instructions and on the payments options page, select none. Fill in your name and address (any US address would do). The next step is to verify your email id and you are good to go. The other method is to do it on your Apple device. Sign out from your existing Apple ID. You go to the App Store, download a free app and in the next window where it asks for an ID, you select ‘Create Apple ID’. The rest of the steps are the same as above. After you’ve created a new id, go to Settings -> iTunes & App Store to sign in again on your device using this new id. Once you’ve done that the radio option will be enabled on iTunes (on your desktop) and the music app (on your iOS device). We suggest you close both the apps and open them again. We have been using the app for the past day or two and it works perfectly fine. -
