iPhone 5 price in India likely to be Rs 46-48,000 Source Apple iPhone 5 is expected to be rolled out in India on October 26 at an expected price ranging between Rs 46,000 to Rs 48,000 for the 16GB model. The 32GB variant is likely to be priced between Rs 51,000 to 53,000. The 64GB top variant of the iPhone 5 will bear a likely tag in the Rs 58,000-61,000 price band. These prices too are tentative and based upon the expectations of the two major telecom operators. Apple sources claimed that the actual price tags will depend upon the prevailing foreign exchange rates around the launch. This time, Apple will use its reseller network in India to directly retail the iPhone 5, just like it does with the iPad, iPod, notebooks and computers. Therefore, it may even break away from its carrier partners in India, Airtel and Aircel, who sold the previous iPhone models in India with their own plans. In India, only unlocked handsets are sold. If Apple launches the phone without any carrier partner in India, it will mean that users will have to select operators who provide nano-sim cards, which only the iPhone 5 uses at present. Sources at Vodafone India said the second biggest telecom operator in India already has a stock of nano-sims in place to meet the demand for the latest iPhone.

Appeals Court Reverses injunction On Samsung Galaxy Nexus in the US Source According to Reuters, an appeals court has repealed the injunction on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in the US that was awarded to Apple in the patent lawsuit between the two companies. The ban was based on the '604 patent owned by Apple, which pertains to universal search features on a mobile device. The judge that awarded the ban back in June concluded that Apple would sustain irreparable damages and lost market share if the Galaxy Nexus were to remain on shelves. Samsung argued that the relatively low sales numbers of the Galaxy Nexus would present no harm to Apple, and it appears that the appeals court agreed, putting a temporary stay on the injunction back in July. The court documents in today's decision claim that Apple was unable to present evidence that directly ties consumer demand for the Galaxy Nexus and this feature. "Apple has presented no evidence that directly ties consumer demand for the Galaxy Nexus to its allegedly infringing feature," noted the court. The court added that while Siri is a very popular feature in Apple's iPhone, "there is also no dispute, however, that the Galaxy Nexus does not have a feature equivalent to Siri." The appeals court ruled that the district court, which initially awarded the injunction against the Galaxy Nexus, "abused its discretion," and that Apple did not establish a causal nexus between the unified search feature and sales of the Galaxy Nexus. "To establish a sufficiently strong causal nexus, Apple must show that consumers buy the Galaxy Nexus because it is equipped with the apparatus claimed in the ’604 patent — not because it can search in general, and not even because it has unified search, " explained the court. As a result, the injunction has been permanently reversed and Samsung is free to sell the Galaxy Nexus in the US. -

^^^ Chroma is a joke. Either their software backend is seriously messed up or they are doing it as a publicity gimmick. Not only this item but i have tried ordering about 10-15 other items from varous sections in last few days. As soon as you try to add to cart, it asks for pincode & then flashes a message, Out of stock. And i tried with all other major city pincodes too! Still the same message! -

Google To Launch Nexus 10 with Samsung - Resolution More Than iPad’s Retina Display – Report Source Amid all the Nexus smartphone rumours, CNET is reporting that Google has partnered with Samsung to build the next Nexus tablet. It will be a 10-inch tablet that will come with a display resolution more than Apple new iPad’s Retina. Google has launched Nexus 7 with Asus and it seems to be the turn of Samsung now, with which the company has already produced two Nexus smartphones – Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S. The Nexus 10 tablet information is coming from NPD DisplaySearch analyst Richard Shim, who claims to have got it from supply chain sources. According to him, Nexus 10 will have 2,560×1,600p display with 299PPI and it will top Apple’s new iPad’s 264 PPI on the 9.7-inch 2,048×1,536p display. “It’s going to be a high-end device, in contrast with Google’s $199 Nexus 7 and upcoming $99 tablet,” Shim told CNET. $99 Nexus 7 Yes, it seems to exist, as Shim also stated that $99 is real and it will go in production this December. Earlier, Digitimes had reported about the $99 Nexus 7 variant. Asus has already quashed the $99 Nexus 7 rumours, but we will have to wait to find out the truth. On the other hand, the 32GB version of Nexus 7 tablet was accidentally confirmed on Monday, when a Japanese consumer got the 32GB version of Nexus 7, for his 16GB Nexus 7 order from Google Play Japan.
