  2. Heard the same thing many months before also. Nothing came out of it. They are talking of giving international roaming on GSM SIM. So it may be locked handsets which can't be used for indian GSM network operators. In that case, it's going to be useless for 99% of the subscribers.

    Samsung Galaxy S DUOS is one option but won't really suggest it because of outdated old MSM7227A processor and even older adreno 200 graphics. Not worth 17K asking price. Look around for many latest launches from indian brands like Micromax, iBall, Spice. Lot of choices like IPS/AMOLED Screens, PowerVR Graphics, 4" to 5" display. Most will come between Rs 9,000 to Rs 14,000.

    Most probably yes, you'll need to unroot. OTA updates usually have a check for checksums of the system partition which should fail in case of rooting as additional superuser apks are mounted in system partition. The best way to take an OTA update is not only to unroot but also to flash the phone to stock ROM and then update. That should give the most trouble free and intended update as designed OR wait till the rooted stock ROM with the update becomes available.

    @Vinod Mate there is no question of any offence or disrespect by your posts. What i meant that the base was already there and available with sellers. Still not clear about your ultimate goal though.. Are you trying to get a tool developed which will generate data dump file from existing EVDO Username/Password given by the Seller? OR Are you trying to get a tool developed which will generate EVDO Password itself + Data Dump even if the password was not given/available?

    ^^^ Right. Good luck for further development. @Vinod Sellers at RIMWeb are giving readymade Data Dump file for configuring EVDO. That does mean that they already have the tool for generating it.

The topic was deleted promptly afterwards. You're still almost finishing after this many months? Do i smell something fishy?

  20. You can only connect a USB Data Card dongle with TP Link wireless routers having such a USB port. How you will connect Fascinate WiFi hotspot with such routers and then share it to TV? IMHO, that's not possible.

  22. @Vishal You can't connect Fascinate WiFi Hotspot to BSNL ADSL Modem and then route/share it. If you want to use LAN, use BSNL Broadband router's lan port with TV's ethernet port.
