rajanmehta replied to rajanmehta's topic in Android
Avast Mobile Security 2 And Anti-Theft 2 (Formerly Theft Aware) Betas Now Available Bring Web Portal And A Lot More Source To get in on the beta, simply head right here to grab the downloads. The web portal also requires an avast! account, and you can get one of those from directly within the app or on the web. Today, the avast! Mobile team released beta builds of Mobile Security 2 and Anti-Theft 2, bringing a ton of new features along with them. Of these new features, the most noteworthy is the arrival of the web portal for Anti-Theft. This allows users to remote control their avast!-equipped device(s) from the web (as well as via SMS messages). This is an absolutely fantastic new addition, as it makes avast! even more relevant on tablets. The web portal offers full control of the device, including remote location, locking, wiping, sirens, SMS and call forwarding, and a lot more. Other than the absolutely incredible web portal, the new betas bring a host of other improvements and new features: avast! Anti-Theft web portal integrated into the avast! Account Network Meter avast! widget Optimized UI for tablets Real-time protection (on-exec scanning) of apps Custom rules and log in the firewall The shield control UI to fine-tune on-access security setup avast! SiteCorrect for the Web Shield Scanning of incoming messages SMS/Call filter wildcards Greyscale notification icon- 1,081 replies

I am no electrical engineer but read this info somewhere on the net... Stock motorola charger that comes with the phone is .750 amp whereas android system log through BATTD for the phone displays the following information: Minimum voltage before poweroff: 3050mV Maximum voltage before charger disconnect: 4350mV Charging current: 1850mA Conclusion is that the phone can safely make use of a 5.1V charger with a higher ~1.5 amp output thereby resulting in faster charging time. Some user was able to charge the battery to 100% in under 3 hours by using even a 1.0 amp charger.

Handset Launches - News Snippets
rajanmehta replied to digitalnirvana's topic in Indian Telecom / General News
LG Launches The Optimus 4X HD in India For MRP Of Rs 34,990 Source LG has finally launched the Optimus 4X HD in India for Rs 34,990 which is its flagship smartphone for the year 2012. Previously, it was stated that LG will launch the device in June. The superphone was originally unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February alongside the HTC One X hit the Indian market back in May. The Optimus 4X HD boasts an impressive feature set which includes a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and a pixel density of 313 pixels per inch, a 8-megapixel camera which can also shoot 1080p videos, a large 2,150 mAh battery (larger than the Samsung Galaxy S III, which has a 2,100 mAh battery) and 16GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on top of which LG utilizes its new Optimus UI 3.0 which includes custom features like Quick Memo and Media Plex. The LG Optimus 4X HD arrives in the country at a very interesting time as it now becomes the last of the quad-core behemoths to be launched in the country, two months after the HTC One X and almost a month-and-a-half after the Samsung Galaxy S III. Price-wise, however, the Optimus 4X HD competes very well with its Android competition, but with HTC and Samsung having the first movers advantage it remains to be seen how LG will market its flagship smartphone. Key Specifications: 1.5GHz Quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor 4.7-inch True HD IPS display with a 720p resolution 8-megapixel camera with 1080p video 2,150 mAh battery 1GB of RAM 16GB of internal memory Android 4.0 with Optimus UI 3.0 -

Reliance EVDO Rev B. Multicarrier - Reliance Pro 3
rajanmehta replied to HetalDP's topic in Data services
Hmmm... HTC does not mention Rev B in official specs here but Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8660 SOC of EVO 3D does support it if we have to believe PDAdb specs. May be it will need a radio update to unlock the feature. -
Reliance EVDO Rev B. Multicarrier - Reliance Pro 3
rajanmehta replied to HetalDP's topic in Data services
Good development. Nice to know Reliance is still doing something in CDMA! Will this benefit the data dongle market only because are there any smartphones currently which are EVDO Rev B capable? -

That's why it confuses people even more because if i remember correctly, in the past even active handsets used to show status as "Will work with a Postpaid GSK, Prepaid GSK and a HCC". They changed something in between!
-
What's wrong with 53733 now a days? Even for perfectly MEID registered handsets which are currently working on RCDMA with calls, SMS & EVDO, it shows the status as "will NOT work with a Postpaid GSK, Prepaid GSK and a HCC."

Irresistable Deals In Electronics, Gadgets, Mobiles, PC Hardware
rajanmehta replied to rajanmehta's topic in General Technical Discussion
@mgdelhi If your usage will be normal browsing, office apps, movies and a little bit of light gaming, then AMD Brazos should be appropriate and very VFM. At a practical level i have noticed that vast majority of people have that kind of usage only but end up spending more unnecessarily behind intel and/OR higher specs. Our doctor Genius is currently using AMD Brazos for day to day use. Laptop RAM's are dirt cheap now a days. You can put 2GB additional for as little as Rs 704 >> http://www.flipkart....17-dada853d67f7 If the superdeal code is not working, you can have the Asus AMD Brazos for Rs 17,080 after gift code GC39P4UA81PE from here >> http://www.homeshop1...86181/cid:3291/ Intel deal for 20K is also good. Won't go wrong with that. Between Acer and Asus, i place Asus ahead.- 6,376 replies
