Who stopped you from doing the honours? Coming to your question, Galaxy Note and Galaxy Nexus both use Pentile Display Technology, So similar in that aspect. Other difference is PPI (pixel density in pixels per inch). Note has 285 and Galaxy Nexus 316. So theoretically it can be said that Nexus will be better in readability. Practically with a PPI of only 256 on EVO 3D, i have absolutely no issue in readability and it's crystal clear. However Pentile Technology is different from conventional LCD. It offers better power saving but may result in (now proven to be more of a perception than hard reality) grainy screens. How Hrithik went from FLAB TO FAB in 10 Weeks Source Everyone - from Hrithik Roshan's wife Sussanne to his friends and publicist - advised him against showing his "fat" picture to the public. Then he asked me, "What do you think?" I wondered which actor in his right mind would want to share an "ugly, repulsive picture" (his words, not mine) of himself. Actors are vain by nature; it's part of their job to look good. "You are a brave man to even consider doing this," I told him. He explained, "Everyone thinks I am genetically blessed with good looks and a good body. I want to show people the real picture. I want to share my story and tell people that they too can change their lives. Ten weeks ago, I was terribly unfit, and now I look like this (pointing to his fit and fab picture) This picture was clicked yesterday." And he did this with a slipped disc. Read on to find out how he went from fat to fab. When did you put on all that weight? Two-and-a-half months ago. I started out from a very dark place. I was in deep depression because I was laid up in bed thanks to my back. I was eating all kinds of junk food - all the cupcakes and brownies that people were sending me to make me feel better. I was in a very bad state emotionally. With all the education I have about health and fitness, I didn't see a way out in the short time I had to prepare for "Krrish 3". Which is why I want to share this transformation tale with the world. I want to break the myth and tell people that we are all the same. We all can get in that state of rut, we all can get unhappy, but there is a way to bounce back. Being sexy is just a state of mind. My aim when I woke up that morning and took that "fat" picture of myself was to get so healthy that I would never be in pain again. I've lived through so many injuries and so much pain, that I can count on my fingers the days when I was pain free. I decided I needed to explore this possibility of the human body in a way that has not been done. My goal was to be pain free; the aesthetics is just a by-product of me wanting to be healthy. Who is responsible for your transformation and how did you find them? It's thanks to a couple called Kris Genthin and Maraica Johnson. Kris is a trainer and Maraica is a nutritionist. I searched on the internet, talked to friends, trainers, doctors, physiotherapists and told everyone that I needed help. There was a bodybuilding show being organised here by Sheru, and he got in touch with my managers and told me about this couple. Everybody gave the same feedback that they would be the right people. I thought I knew a lot about fitness, but what they brought to the table was incredible. What I have achieved in these 10 weeks was done in the easiest possible way. I haven't starved myself, I haven't been killing myself working out. In fact, I am eating more food than I ever have. It hurts me to see that people who want to get into shape or be fit, starve themselves and do all the wrong things. I want the truth to be out there and I want people to identify with me and learn from my experience. Share the details. Now! I do cardio for half-an-hour in the morning, and a one-hour workout during the day. I have a slipped disc so I don't do heavy weights at all. I've lost ten-and-a-half kilos, and my waist has gone down from 36.5 cm to 29.5 cm, all in 10 weeks. It's quite mind-boggling, as I eat eight meals a day! Basically, we eat the wrong foods in the wrong way. There are so many myths about food intake that need to be broken. I am eating more food now than ever, so this information needs to be out there. I feel like we are living in a matrix and we are being fed all unhealthy food through advertising, but there are tastier and healthier foods available here. I've been eating more organic food. I don't miss desserts. I've never had a craving. I was smoking for two-and-a-half years and I've given that up too. You make it sound so easy! It's not a sacrifice! In fact, all you have to do is take a little bit of time. You know, your body gives you feedback. The magic word is initiative. We all know we need to feel a certain way, but we don't take that initiative. It's not about being fit, it's about being healthy. If you just take that first step, it can change your entire life. This entire journey has been so inspiring that I want to do something with it. I want to make it available to the common man. Whether that means investing in infrastructure, building transformation centres... I want to make something big out of this. The idea is that even through nutrition you can get healthy if you do half-an-hour of cardio. I can't remember the last time I was so inspired. I feel like I can fly and I want everyone to know that they can fly too. I want to change the health and fitness scene in the country. It's so easy to be in the best shape of your life, but we just don't have access to the right information. Isn't eight meals a day too much? Your metabolism needs rest, no? You need seven-and-a-half hours of rest, that's it. And you get that when you are sleeping. The body is a machine, but an organic one. It' not made of iron, it is growing and changing at the same time. If you eat every two hours, your body gets used to digesting food more quickly and burning calories, and your metabolism stays high. I wake up with a lot of energy now. Initially, I would think I'll loll in bed for five more minutes, but now I wake up feeling refreshed. It's like I am in 'ready to attack' mode, but I need to calm down now as it's become a bit too much! Please continue! How many people complain about being unfit and unhealthy? They suffer, they starve. They have just one grape a day! I have seen my sister struggle with her weight all her life, and she too has lost two kilos in one week thanks to this method. She is allowed to eat all day. Your body is intelligent. So when you starve yourself, it thinks there is a famine and no more food is coming, so your metabolism slows down and starts saving fat for survival. So never starve if you want to lose weight. The most important thing to do is keep eating the right food every 2-3 hours and cut off the carbs in your meal. It keeps your metabolism high. I am concerned for my kids, my friends, and everybody who is soaking up all the myths around us. People look at me and think that I was born this way, that it's easy for me because it's genetic, but I want to tell them that it's not genetic. If I can do this when I had a double slipped disc and was smoking three packets a day, then you can change too.

How To: Configure A Wi-Fi Router Correctly
rajanmehta replied to Honest's topic in General Technical Discussion
Indian Wi-Fi Networks Under Possible Virus Attack: Indian Computer Emergency Response Team Source Indian Computer Emergency Response Team Website >> http://www.cert-in.org.in/ The advisory is on Home Page under Latest Security Alert named CERT-In Advisory CIAD-2012-0005 Dated January 13th 2012 with Severity Rating as High. Check if your Wi-Fi Routers are from among the brands mentioned in the advisory and do the workaround. Indian computer security analysts have detected and alerted Wi-Fi users in the country against a possible virus attack that could lead to crashing and hacking of secure networks. The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), country's national agency to respond to computer security incidents, has found that the "Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) contains a design error that could allow a weaker-than- expected defence against brute-force attacks, which could allow an attacker to gain unauthorised access to the affected system." A brute-force attack, in computer terminology, is a programme that is used to crack and stealthily enter into an encrypted and password protected system while WPS is a popular method for setting up a new wireless router for a home network. "The virus is streaming in the Indian Internet networks with a high severity. The combat mechanisms are being deployed," a computer security analyst with a government agency said. "An un-authenticated, remote attacker within range of the wireless access point could use the PIN (password) to gain unauthorised access to the device to retrieve the password for the wireless network or change the configuration of the device. "Failed attempts to exploit the vulnerability could lead to a denial of service condition," the CERT-In said in its alert to Wi-Fi users. The agency also said that reports (with the agency) indicate that some WPS devices "do not implement any kind of lockout policy for brute-force attempts, which greatly reduces the time to perform a successful attack." -

Samsung and Apple Looking At New Waterproof Smartphone Tech Source This technology is Winner of CES 2012 Innovations Design and Engineering Award Company Website >> http://hzo.me/ A new technology that could save your phone from getting water damaged could be included the next wave of smartphones about to be made by Samsung and Apple. Called HZO, the technology creates a nano-scale film barrier which has special water repelling properties once applied to the inside of electronic gadgets. Done during the manufacturing process rather than by you once you've bought your phone, this isn't a clumsy case or a sealant but a way of protecting gadgets from getting wet. To help show off the capabilities of the technology, the company has already applied the tech to a number of different devices like the iPhone, as well as other phones from Samsung and Motorola. At this year's CES in Las Vegas Pocket-lint witnessed what looked like an ordinary iPhone being repeatedly dunked into a fish tank full of water. The company is hoping to sign big deals with all leading manufacturers. A spokesman for the company told Pocket-lint that it is in the process of signing up a major smartphone partner and a headphones maker in the very near future. The plan for headphones is that they wouldn't be damaged by sweat when running or water when swimming. "We showed the Samsung Chairman the technology with a Samsung Galaxy S that we had coated with HZO and he couldn't believe his eyes," a representative of the company told us. "Samsung is really excited by the tech." The company has told us that they are also talking to Apple as well, hoping to be able to let Apple make the iPhone 5 waterproof. "We expect HZO to be in next season's phones," HZO told Pocket-lint rather confidently. HZO Water Blocking Technology Demo Video

Reliance Jio - Pan India 4G / LTE network
rajanmehta replied to Arun's topic in Reliance Jio 4G LTE (Prepaid & Postpaid)
RIL Plans To Pick 26% Stake in Leading Cable Operators Source Talks under way for partnership model to provide last-mile connectivity to 4G users. Reliance Industries (RIL) is planning to pick up a minimum 26 per cent stake in leading cable operators, including multi-system operators. The move is a part of the group’s strategy to rope in cable operators as well as multi-system operators (MSOs) as partners to provide last-mile connectivity to consumer homes for 4G broadband services, which would include data, voice and television. According to two independent sources, RIL has approached Den Networks, Digicable Networks, Hathway Cable, the Hinduja–promoted IndusInd Media and Communications Ltd (InCable) and several independent MSOs as well as smaller operators with good regional presence. There are more than 6,000 cable operators in the country. The move comes shortly after RIL decided to invest in media group TV18's two main companies through rights issues. The deal would give RIL access to content for its 4G broadband internet venture. RIL had last year bought 95 per cent stake in the Mahendra Nahata-promoted Infotel Broadband Services Ltd (IBSL), which won broadband wireless access or 4G spectrum across the country. Elaborating on its strategy, an RIL spokesperson said Infotel was engaged in bringing affordable, cutting-edge wireless broadband and broadband-enabled digital services to customers across the country. To support this business model, Infotel is pursuing an economically prudent strategy of deploying a judicious mix of owned and partnered assets. In this context, the spokesperson said, Infotel had, and continued to be, engaged in discussions with potential partners where a partnered approach could create win-win opportunities for the company, its customers and partners. RIL, however, did not want to comment on specific names, given the “strategic and confidential nature” of the discussions. The MSOs and cable operators also declined to comment on talks with RIL. Sameer Manchanda, chairman and managing director of Den Networks, Ravi Mansukhani, managing director of Indusind Media, and K Jayaraman, CEO of Hathway Cable & Datacom, declined to comment on the issue. With the government setting a deadline for digitisation by 2012 in metros and by 2014 across the country, cable operators and MSOs would require a massive investment of Rs 25,000 crore. Den Networks plans to invest Rs 1,500 crore over three years and Hathway had said it would invest Rs 500-600 crore on cable digitisation in the first phase. According to analysts, most MSOs have chalked out huge fund-raising plans for digitisation, including stake sales. According to a KPMG report on the media and entertainment industry, there were 103 million cable homes in 2010. Of those, 68 million were connected by analogue cables, while 28 million used DTH and five million switched to digital cable. With RIL planning to roll out 4G services, tying up with MSOs will help them both in data and content options. That will help them in mass-scale adoption of their technology. In one go, most households will get internet and content on several devices from television to tablets. For RIL, this makes sense as MSOs have last-mile access to customers, says Farokh Balsara, leader of media and entertainment practice at Ernst & Young (Europe, India, Middle East and Africa). RIL watchers say the company has put together an elaborate 4G broadband wireless access (BWA) roll-out plan that will offer consumers speeds 5-10 times better than 3G. RIL has ambitious plans to connect over 100 cities and towns across the country through a fibre optic network (partly of its own and partly leased) in the initial stages. Cable operators and MSOs together have already laid 100,000 km of fibre reaching consumers’ houses across the country. That is what RIL wants to leverage. The senior Ambani may have to tackle some regulatory issues of cross-holding under which cable, broadcasting and DTH companies cannot hold more than 20 per cent stake in each other. It was for this reason the Anil Ambani-promoted RCom, which operates in the DTH space through Reliance Digital TV, internet protocol TV (IPTV) and broadband services (all come under Reliance Digicom), was unable to acquire cable company Digicable. The government had earlier looked into the structure of Sun TV and the Zee group as both are present in an array of areas — cable distribution, DTH and broadcasting. But, they got clearance. -

Google Engineer Debunks Myth: Wiping Battery Stats Does Not Improve Battery Life Source There you have it, in the title. Google engineer Dianne Hackborn, who has previously explained Android’s hardware acceleration, took to Google+ again to clarify some myths about the Android operating system. This time, it’s a point of common advice that you’ll see in virtually every FAQ thread about custom ROMs and flashing: wiping battery stats in order to improve battery life. The reasoning behind that piece of advice was something like this: If you, at some point, did not charge your Android device fully (for example, only to 80%), it would supposedly remember that battery level as “fully charged” – in this case, you’d only ever get to use 80% of your battery, which is of course less than optimal. So, if you wipe the battery stats, usually done in ClockWord Mod Recovery, the device would “forget” the previous level, here 80%, and instead charge to the full 100% once again, thereby re-calibrating the battery. Or, as Hackborn puts it in more technical terms: The battery indicator in the status/notification bar is a reflection of the batterystats.bin file in the data/system/ directory. However, as she explains, that’s not the case. Because those battery stats, stored in the batterystats.bin file, are only used to maintain information about what is using the battery when not recharging. That is, it essentially holds the information displayed in the Settings > Battery screen. Nothing more, nothing less. Thus: It has no impact on the current battery level shown to you. It has no impact on your battery life. What’s more, you’ve probably noticed that the battery usage data is reset once you recharge your device anyway. From this you can correctly deduce that the battery stats are wiped as well – every time your device is recharged. More or less every day. If there was any effect, you would’ve noticed it without going into recovery and doing that stuff. Typical placebo, eh?

Lightpad Turns Your Phone Into A Laptop And Projector Source QP Optoelectronics recently showcased their new technology called the LightPad at the recently concluded CES 2012. This patent pending technology is an ideal companion device to extend the functionality and user interface of smartphones, providing the user with expanded utility via the built-in 11-inch high contrast rear projection screen, which provides up to a 60-inch screen in front projection mode, along with a full-size keyboard. The resolution is 854 x 480 pixels. When connected with a smartphone, the LightPad provides virtually all functions of a notebook computer for an individual. This is owing to the use of a pico-projector. The high gain and high contrast rear projection screen provides for a high quality display. It has got a thin form factor and is light weight – which potentially make for the key factors for a portable accessory device. However it’s not just limited to a notebook-sized display. The LightPad can produce up to a 60-inch display in front projection mode with its super short focal length projection lens. It can be used as a big screen display/projector for meeting presentations, video/TV viewing, and big screen gaming. The first version is likely to be launched in G1 2012 and the second version in G2 2013. Connectivity to all smartphone platforms with HDMI or MHL output (iOS, Android, Win, Blackberry) are supported.

Motorola Droid 4 and LG Spectrum Will Have Global GSM Roaming, Eventually Source Verizon has revealed that that its upcoming LG Spectrum and Motorola Droid 4 will feature global roaming capability through GSM / WCDMA support. Both phones offer LTE, so this makes them the first LTE devices to support GSM, CDMA and LTE alike — a potent triple combo that should give them top speeds essentially anywhere in the world, regardless of network Historically, Verizon has done a solid job supporting GSM global roaming, a challenging prospect when your network is underpinned by a technology supported in just a few dozen countries and territories around the world. CDMA / GSM hybrid handsets are easy to come by on the network's shelves, but the transition to LTE has complicated the issue significantly — any time you add a new radio to a phone, it takes another dose of engineering to get it working properly. There's a catch, though: the capability won't be available at launch. Verizon says that it's working on "network enhancements" to improve roaming reliability on LTE devices, and it'll be turned on for both phones via software update later in the year, "likely" in the first half.
