Samsung Nexus Prime 11 October Launch Postponed Source Pocket-lint has just learnt that the Samsung Unpacked 2011 event due to happen on 11 October in San Diego has been canned. And the planned unveiling of both Android Ice Cream Sandwich and the Samsung Nexus Prime is not going ahead. We have received the following combined statement: However, perhaps the drastic decision has been made out of respect for the sad passing away of long term rival and industry icon Steve Jobs. And, if so, Pocket-lint can fully understand; if, for example, the ex-Apple CEO's funeral is to be held around the same time, it may be insensitive to whip up a media frenzy over a competing device. Here is the First Video of the Device..

Always ahead of his times.. Even in death.. Forget about whether Apple keeps on innovating or not now.. From where the competitors will get ideas/inspiration to copy /modify /enhance and introduce next big things ? He truly bought the next device revolution after PC.. If at all any one in the world uses any tablet today, the original idea and spark was his.. No one thought it before.. And smartphones are a lot smarter today then few years back.. He delivered the original idea.. Nobody thought of a smartphone like he did.. Steve Jobs was perhaps the rare "ORIGINAL" inquisitive, free thinking "Child" among a lot of businessman's.. Innovation was the core belief.. profits came as a corollary.. You will remain iMmortal in the tech world.

Spice Announces Dual SIM Android MI-350 in India Source Spice Mobility has announced its second dual SIM Android smartphone Mi-350 in India today. The smartphone was revealed at a press event in Bhopal. There is no word on the official pricing, but Mi-350 is expected to retail around INR 8,500. Spice Mi-350 features Android 2.2 and is upgradable to Android 2.3 “Gingerbread”, you will also find a 3.5 inch capacitive display (480 x 320), Qualcomm 600MHz processor, 5MP camera, 512MB RAM, and 1500 mAh battery. These are some quite decent specifications for an 8.5K smartphone from Spice that also gives you opportunity to use two SIM cards. Spice also sells Mi-270 Dual SIM smartphone, but it hasn’t really set the market on fire. Mi-350 is likely to go on sale soon and we will let you know as soon as that happens. PS: We have got to know that Spice Mi-350 is actually a rebranded ViewSonic V350 dual SIM phone, which was first announced back in February this year. Not that it changes anything.

Siri Personal Assistant feature looks very cool. Intelligent, human like, tightly integrated with ios/apps and capable of doing a lot compared to just voice commands in Android. I see this as the next big thing in mobile usage evolution. Apple is terming it BETA right now, so future capabilities will be even more. It should alter in fundamental ways you use your smartphone in 1-2 years time. Guess they might be using WolframApha computational knowledge engine >> http://www.wolframalpha.com/ Much improved battery life, very capable A5 Dual Core processor, dedicated image processing chip, fantastic camera, world phone capability are positives. Same old Retina Display but it's still among the best. Apple is saying CDMA will work only if it's activated with an operator. So you may not be able to use a CDMA Sim straight away. It may be programming based for CDMA networks. Cold water if you thought Apple will ever give you FREEDOM. Major gripe is no increase in 3.5" screen size. It really matters but Apple believes otherwise. For 16GB additional capacity, Apple wants $ 100. For 32 GB also it wants same $ 100 more. Atrocious pricing for storage. Does nothing to remove Apple's shylock like perception wanting it's A$$ of FLASH for bottomline. Major put off. Fastest roll out. By December in almost all countries. Being an android fan, i still believe Apple has a very capable product on hand. It should be able to compete and work well.

MNP: Last Nail In The Coffin For CDMA?
rajanmehta replied to Arun's topic in Mobile Number Portability (MNP)
^ ^ ^ I said majority, not all. The segment willing to pay more is small compared to overall subscriber base. And even then, that's no excuse for CDMA operators to offer sub standard service or not according to what the customer wants. -
