Virgin Mobile the Youth focused telecom operator today entered in the Indian GSM mobile service market via franchisee agreement with Tata Teleservices, in Adnhra Pradesh, Chennai, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamilnadu telecom circle.Virgin Mobile Prepaid Starter Kit costs Rs 49 comes with lifetime validity and zero talk time with Default tariff plan Local Re 1/-, STD Rs 1.50/-. Virgin Mobile launches 2 Tariff Plan, Per Minute Plan and Per Second Plan. With per minute plan all Virgin to Virgin local calls will be charged at 20p and to all other local at 40 paisa per minute. The STD calls to Virgin Mobile charged at 20p and to other network it cost 50 paisa. All Local and National SMS cost 50paisa and All Calls while Roaming charged at 60 paisa minute. The plan comes at daily rental of Rs.1.50. Virgin mobile also launched Pay Per Second Plan which cost just Rs.12 and comes with the tariff validity of 365 days from the date of activations. In this plan subscribers can enjoy all local and STD calls at One Paisa for One Second, SMS (Local/National) at 50 paisa and all Roaming calls at 60paisaper minute. Customers on the Pay Per Second plan can move back to the Per Minute plan by doing a one-time recharge of Rs 13/- (Talk time: Rs 11.79/-). At the time of the launch, Operator also launches three SMS packs priced at Rs. 33, Rs.34 and Rs.69. The special pack priced at Rs.33 is available nationally and comes with 2000 local and national SMSs free for 30 days. Under Rs. 34 pack, customers will get 10,000 local SMS free. This pack is only available in Tamil Nadu and Chennai circles. The friendliest pack priced at Rs.69 will offer 500 local and national SMS free daily. The pack will be available 7 days from the day of launch.All three packs come with a validity of 30 days. As another initiative to inch closer to the youth and take the brand to the next level, Ranbir Kapoor and Genelia D’Souza have been appointed as the new brand ambassadors for Virgin Mobile in India. At the time of launch, Virgin Mobile GSM services will be available in more than 300 towns, 60,000 RCV and 45,000 SUK outlets which will cater to 76% of the urban youth population. Bharti Airtel, India’s largest GSM mobile service operator introduces “Airtel Timer SMS” the next generation SMS service giving you the power to schedule your SMS to be send on a desired date and time. With this new VAS; Airtel’s Postpaid and Prepaid subscribers can able to schedule an SMS in advance to wish their friend on his birth day or any occasions. User’s wish will be sent to their desired persons at the exactdate and time which is specified by them. Airtel ’s Timed SMS can act like a reminder or scheduler service, where mobile subscribers can schedule a message in advance and the same will be sent at the specificdate and time to the desired recipient. Thus making sure that they never miss sending that special SMS when it matters the most. Sending a timer SMS from Airtel mobile is very simple. You need to follow the following format i.e. Recipient’s mobile number <98XXXXXXXX> Date Time to 52233. E.g.9810098100 0101 0000 Happy BirthDay. Timer SMS that you schedule using Timer SMS service would be charged at Re.1 per SMS. AIRTEL Timer SMS In Details-: • Airtel Postpaid and Prepaid Customer can schedule a message well in advance at a future date and time of their choice to any number the customer desires. The Number can be a Local Number or an STD Number. The Shortcode for scheduling the SMS is 52233. The Charges for any transaction on 52233 are at Re.1/SMS. Airtel Customer would get a confirmation SMS when he schedules his message, as well as when the message is sent to the customer. In case a customer sends a wrong format in terms of date/ time/ or number, the customer would get a correction SMS with an example for the same. The customer would also be given an option to pull back the Scheduled Timer SMS, in case he wishes to change his mind. In this scenario, the customer would have to reply with STOP to the sender id. Charges of Re.1/SMS would be applicable. The cancellation method would be educated to the customer automatically after he has scheduled the message. The customer can schedule an SMS 365 days in advance, using this application. The service is enabled on all the phones and subscribers of Airtel. In case the customer schedules the message at a time, which is older than the existing time, an education SMS would go to the customer, which would also tell the customer the current time. -
Idea Cellular Launches Lowest Tariff For Prepaid & Postpaid In Gujarat

Customers availing this plan will get to make all Idea Local calls at the lowest tariff of 1 paisa per 2 seconds or 10 paisa per minute. To avail the offer of idea local calls at 1 paisa per 2 seconds tariff plan, IDEA prepaid subscribers can purchase a special voucher priced at Rs.47 where as to avail the offer of idea local calls at 10 paisaper minute IDEA prepaid subscriber need to purchase special voucher priced at Rs. 123. Both the tariff voucher will be valid for a period of 1 Month. Hey How do u guys get such a high speed, i am using airtel gprs on my BB8830, but i get max speed of 20-25 kbps, also on DOCOMO i barely get Max 25-30 kbps some pls explain this.. Same issue.i never saw speed more than you mentioned,so i got rid from Airtel gprs and now using my own trick. -

The modem rent for all limited plans including this plan is Rs.50 for Normal and Wireless both and customer can opt any one as their choice. MTNL customer also free to buy their own modem than no charges for that. With Unlimited Plans MTNL provide Rent free modem. -
