Hey guys.. i m plannin to upgrade my system and i have 2 choices.. either i take AMD64 2800+ processor + MSI K8M Neo-V Mother board.. the descriptions of which are given on [ Tech Tree ] Or i can take a 32bit architecture of AMD Athlon or Intel HT technology. Which one you would suggest is better for current needs... [coz there aint much 64 bit computing applications which we regularly use] . The october CHIP magz doesnt highlight AMD64 much better than its 32 bit edition. and i have planned to take a graphics card.. either.. Power Color ATI Radeon 9800(SE) (128mb) - costing near 10k XFX Geforce FX 5700LE(256mb) - costing near 7k.. any1z got suggestion(s) ...which i should go f0r....

when the time of purchase i didnot have an affordable mobo for a AMD64 with PCI Express slot ! ..

hello vira_haresh, that was quite a deal of info that uhave given me .. but i have already purchased that system i desired .. as u can see the quoted text is around 3 and 1/2 months old.. the system config that ihave purchased is also on this forum topic. thanx for the suggestion. but i have already taken a 2.8 HT + 915 mobo + Geforce 6600 256mb PCI Exp configuration..

i use gaim.. but try gyach .. it gave me a segmentation fault too long back. when i used http proxy... i heard voice/video on gyach are really kewl ! ..

it may sound crazy.. but is it possible by some AT commands ( i am not a geek) that we write the file system like BITPIM does such that the message wouldbe a pending message [ RD2030 users would know that if the signal is currently down the sms's are scheduled automatically after 3 mins] .. only an idea.. maybe techie guys should check this out.. it wouldbe gr8t if this works out..

i was wondering the same before the RWW guys told me this stupid idea.. they were telling me that u can pay for the new handset and use the old handset for another connection.. which is ofcourse insane.. who would buy an old reliance handset (minez RD2030) ....though in a scratchless condition ! ..

ya gmail is working on RD2030 too. . i hav just checked it out.. it it seems buggy . having no feature to access to gmail labels .. it is showin mails from other labels in inbox.. ! prolly i wud be time b4 they correct such mistakes and make it really usable instead of being just a highlight feature !

so u use Airtel too ! .. good. And may be they have disabled that command or number 170... what matters is that CC guys are disabling the spam thing on request. [as delguy19 has written]

the more the number of services to preload during Linux... the slower its gonna boot. so similarly the more the number of plugins .. the more the preload time... so tweakin would help firefox too ! .. u can uninstall any plugin with a single button - all done click ! .

i have seen the image of this kewl phone "O2 XDA II S" somewhere on the net .. check that out guys ! . (froogle a bit u can find it).

this is the thing that the whole AIRTEL customers are looking for to disable gettin further spam messages !..

i dont use Airtel but many of my frens use it.. i guess there is a shorter way to disable spam -- Send N to 170 -- my frens have done this and they dont get any more such messages.. its toll free too .. hope this works and bring peace to all those irritated ones ! p.s- if this post turns out airtel customers shifting to reliance because of this spam.. .. i m sorry !

use the download manager called "internet download manager" . the best dm i have ever used ...

u can use image ready to put together all the frames.. also i think ACD See can also do it !

me too have used all the distro's above.. but i like Fed Core the best. i was using FedCore1 till now but i m planning 2 install Fedcore3 now.. i 2 have heard that debian is the best ditro.. but i m satisfied with FedCore.

And more info about my graphicscard [ 6600 ] 1) Completed FarCry in 1and 1/2 day with the highest settings.. 2) Completed DOOM III in 1 day and 2 nites with "high" settings. I could not use "extreme quality" settings.. the game was a lot better when i brought the settings down to "high" . more to come.. i may soon play HalfLife2 and Thief...
