DAPO customers pay an extra 100 rupees per month towards club membership charges. I enquired abt them sometime back. They told me that it covers the charges for free services like RWorld, SMS 1234 etc. I hope they keep it free for DAPO customers. Atleast they are their pioneer customers!

As far as i know, JAVA is known for its platform independence. Then how come the point of developing applications specific to handsets come from? One JAVA application can run on different platforms. You just need an interpreter for that platform. Maybe some techie person like code should throw some light on this. Correct me if i m wrong. I don't know much avout JAVA for mobiles.

Broadband definition according to TRAI: Speed >= 256 KBPS Data transfer: unlimited. The main problem with so called broadband providers in India is that they put everything in "upto". Speeds "upto" 512 KBPS. Actually, the speed fluctuates. making the avg speed much lower. Lets see how reliance scores.

JAR stand for JAVA archive as far as i know. Yes, the .jar files can be run directly, but, ofcourse, as they are archives, they can be extracted also. JAR files contain all the packages and class files needed to run the application. on your PC, they can be run directly as well as can be opened in archive utilities such as winrar.

i think the update pone book option is not yet available in all the circles. Only Himachal Pradesh numbers have changed and it might be available ther. somebosy from himachal pradesh should tell. I am in the delhi circle and its not available here. But, yes, my friend has an LG RD5130 and its available in his phone. Infact Rail reservation is also not available here in delhi despite that its available in LG and Samsung color sets.

Rail reservation facility is now available in other mobiles. I saw it in LG RD5130. Its not available in GTRAN yet. Its a new application. They should have developed it for GTRAN also.

I m with Prakash. RWorld should be a free service. Especially when many items in it are sponsored. If they make RWorld paid, it will be dead. Also, many people are attracted towards Reliance because of free RWorld. They will lose them.

I know what you did, tanveer. You must have changed the EXT POWER ON value from 0 to 1. Thats command number 31. I think it means how phone will react when charger is plugged in. That is why i am interested in knowing the meaning of the codes. I am still not able to find them.

I think only Himachal Pradesh numbers have changed. The schedule is there on the site. As and when the change is applicable in your state/circle, the option will be made available in R-world. Better still, they should change all the numbers first and then provide the option so that no numbers in the phonebook are left unchanged.

I told you the software is working fine on other systems with Windows XP!!! Its not working on systems with Intel 865GBF mboard.

Resetting R Menu is OK, but i heard that Clear Memory also deletes the phone book and everything stored on the phone? Is it true?

I have already mentioned that the softwares are running fine on other motherboards. That is why i m saying that there is no problem with the softwares. I also told that a friend of mine has same configuration as mine. The softwares are not running on his system also. That is why i m saying that there is some incompatibility problem. Thanks for the advice. But i flash with tools provided by intel. I think they are reliable. I can't shift to any other OS. so i dont even want to try that. Please suggest some feasible solution.

Dear Tanveer, I went to Karol Bagh. The tape is available there but in rolls. just like the cellotapes you get in the market. And the roll is priced at around Rs. 300/- I couldn't find any person selling the tape for in single or double. I didn't bring the roll as it didn't seem to be of the length mentioned by the shopkeeper. I think i'll take some more time and go there again to find out someone who is selling them in singles and also try to find out some genuine shopkeeper.

I did as you said. In the recovery tab of my RPC service, i changed the setting from Restart the computer to Take no action. In rest of the services you mentioned, it was already preset to take no action. But still its not working. You see, when i said restart, i mean the system restarts immediately(like a bad shutdown). Just like pressing the reset button. Also, as i told, the PCSync software is not working. It gives an error as soon as it starts. After the system restart, it gives an error that the system has recovered from a serious error and it was caused by a device driver. RConnect worked perfectly with my old LG RD2030 on the same system. I am not saying that there is some problem with the phone or the software. I think i mentioned in my previous posts that RConnect and PCSync are working fine on my friends' systems. But they are again not working on a friend of mine's syste, who also has exactly the same configuration. The Intel 865GBF motherboard with Intel P4 HT and 512 MB DDR RAM. I thought that there is some problem with the USB configuration from the BIOS as i even reinstalled the OS and tried. Its not working. There are a few settings in the BIOS for the USB like enhanced, legacy etc. But even after trying each of them, its not working. I even flashed my BIOS to the latest one. No help ( Now any suggestions??

i think there are many issues with GTRAN handsets: 1. Ring tones are not being saved. 2. The text in the input fields is shown half inside and half outside the rectangular box meant for it (on all the sites). 3. MMS Inbox not opening. 4. No option to send pictures taken from camera thru MMS. 5. ICICI bank option not available. 6. PC connectivity problem with some people (inclusing me!). and many more.... I think all the GTRAN owners should write to Reliance collectively to solve the problems. Has anybody upgraded from LG RD2030 to GTRAN? don't you think the interface, the colour combination and GUI is a **** compared to the LG one?

I got a GTRAN GCP 4020. The PCSync software displays some error when i start it and exits. Rconnect, just after authenticating, reboots my system. I reinstalled my windows! Even then the software didnt run! I further tested the software on all my friends' system. Its running fine on them. Then i tried installing on another system having the same Intel 865GBF mboard. It didnt run! I think there are some USB settings in the BIOS which should be tweaked. can anyone please suggest something?

Has anybody noticed? the dictionary mode is not available in R world. Well thats really buggy. Arent we getting any software upgrades for the phone?

what about the transparent cover thing? does anybody know where to get that?
