Thats true... Airtel and Bsnl are fast gaining strong hold in broadband replacing Reliance Connections. So WAKE UP Reliance BROADBAND.............. I recently saw a huge recruitment ad for Reliance Broadband.

Its more than 30 days since i have given my 6255 for service, they promised to give a replacement after i complained to chairman's office. There were series of follow ups from both sides (Nokia & Reliance). But nothing has happened so far.

It's available in TN. Price around 5300/-. No Rworld no data connectivity. But looks ok. Clamshell with FM and flash light.

Try approaching your loca Reliance Town office customer care. Or else always you can purchase a new handset and retain your number. But your old handset will become unusable.

Earlier I had BSNL dataone home500 plan, as it provides unlimited only during Night 2 PM TO 8 PM, Which was highly inconvenient for me. Than i shifted to Airtel 900 + tax, which provides a landline phone without any rental + unit rate @ Rs.1/- Per pulse (Economical) and unlimited usage all the time and the speed is aroung 240 Kbps on average which is quite decent. Bsnl has a disadvantage as yout have to pay min. rental for landline connection additional to broad band charges. So for me Airtel is convenient and i recommend it, if you got Airtel broadband in your area.

Airtel offers unlimited data exchange @256 kbps with a phone line connection for just Rs.900 + Tax!

It might a call forward to some other operator, who supports dialer tunes. I experienced this when i called to one of my friends reliance number, when put call forward to an airtel number. So no magic.

Similar experience with NOKIA Authorised service centre's. They took 15 days to tell that the phone was not serviceable and the very next day i opened and reassembled it started working.

The scheme is for both pospaid and prepaid.

I couldn't find and samsung B/W at RWW. relianceinfo.com lists samsung b/w & motorola c131, but it's not available in RWW. Any idea whither it has been withdrawn, if so, why?

Nokia will never bent on price, as they are established brand in GSM, they are not much interested n CDMA. LG got a footprint in India and mobile handsets because of Reliance. So the relationship continues. Giving better rates for Reliance. One way its good, it will eventually make Nokia to come out of its shell.

Using sierra card you can send only sms to 8 users max. at a time.

What about wireless broadband with EVDO? It will be quite succesfull at low cost.....
