But I guess RIM charges rental for the period the phone was disconnected. With other networks there is an activation charge but with RIM there is no activation charge, which I guess they must be covering by way of charging rentals....

I never take risk while drinking When I come from office in the evening, wife is cooking I can hear the noise of utensils in the kitchen I stealthily enter the house Take out the bottle from my black cupboard Shivaji Maharaj is looking at me from the photo frame But still no one is aware of it Becoz I never take a risk I take out the glass from the rack above the old sink Qucikly enjoy one peg Wash the glass and again keep it on the rack Of course I also keep the bottle inside my cupboard Shivaji Maharaj is giving a smile I peep into the kitchen Wife is cutting potatoes No one is aware of what I did Becoz i never take a risk I: Any news on Iyer's daughter's marriage She: Nope, she doesn't seem to be that lucky. Still they are looking out for her I again come out; there is a small noise of the black cupboard But I don't make any sound while taking out the bottle I take out the glass from the old rack above sink Quickly enjoy one peg Wash the bottle and keep it in the sink Also keep the Black Glass in the cupboard But still no one is aware of what I did Becoz I never take a risk I: But still I think Iyer's daughter's age is not that much She: What are you saying? She is 28 yrs old... like an aged horse I: (I forgot her age is 2 Oh Oh... I again take out potatoes out from my black cupboard But the cupboard's place has automatically changed I take out the bottle from the rack and quickly enjoy one peg in the sink Shivaji Maharaj laughs loudly I keep the rack in the potatoes & wash Shivaji Maharaj's photo & keep it in the black cupboard Wife is keeping the sink on the stove But still no one is aware of what I did Becoz I never take a risk I: (getting angry) you call Mr. Iyer a horse? If you say that again, I will cut your tongue...! She: Don't just blabber something, go out and sit quietly... I take out the bottle from the potatoes Go in the black cupboard and enjoy a peg Wash the sink and keep it over the rack Wife is giving a smile Shivaji Maharaj is still cooking But still no one is aware of what I did Becoz I never take a risk I: (laughing) So Iyer is marrying a horse!! She: Hey go and sprinkle some water on your face... I again go to the kitchen, and quietly sit on the rack Stove is also on the rack There is a small noise of bottles from the room outside I peep and see that wife is enjoying a peg in the sink But none of the horses are aware of what i did Becoz Shivaji Maharaj never takes a risk Iyer is still cooking And I am looking at my wife from the photo and laughing Becoz i never take a risk .....hic!

Outsourcing as a trend has been fast catching up with Indian companies too... There are many factors that have contributed to the emergence of this trend... 1. Employment related issues... Indian employee is notoriously famous to form trade unions & encourage collective bargaining by stopping work. Unlike our counter-parts in Japan & other advanced countries, where a labour or an union strike does not hamper work. 2. People intensive jobs... We hate to admit but the stark fact is that the Indian consumer is technologically backward. Give him/ her a clear pre-recorded message/ solutions, s/he will still want to speak with a stupid CC executive...I am not talking of Rim but the overall position of service industry in general. 3. Infrastructure development is the least technologically advanced, so here to we require people. 4. Being the second largest populace on the globe...companies which set-up shop in India have a mandate to employ certain number of people... 5. Nepotism as a practice is deep-rooted & rampant in Indian HR circles. Huh...all these things & many put together leads to an emergence of a new trend - OUTSOURCING.. Though by outsourcing the cost per employee goes up but the liability per employee comes down drastically... There are hundreds of advantages & disadvantages to this trend.. but thats another story.. RIM maybe or may not be right in outsourcing people who interface with the end-user. Someone rightly mentioned that most of these companies are dummy companies of reliance but at the end of the month when an employee working for Reliance gets a pay-slip of India solutions or Nis sparta then the job s**ks...

I use a Nokia 6585 for my RIM. I also saw the same model with a Tata connection. Except for the looks everything is different.... I don't recall the exact differences but 6585 with TATA was more feature rich... Aah I remember browing wap sites using 6585 on Tata...while on Rim there is no such feature also there is no R-world on RIM.

Indian Airlines, Reliance Info Tie Up For...
Dilbert replied to @ksh@T's topic in Reliance Communications
Yeah rightly pointed out..... we have a long way to go before people actually start buying things woth 10000 bucks thru mobile. Even a time-strapped, convenience desiring consumer like me have started using booking tickets online just a few months back. I use net-banking but I do not trust mobile banking... Yeah these services seem too ahead of their time; as of now the operators should stick to the basics I guess... Offering a higher bandwidth & better speed for a start as far as data transfer is concerned.. While voice service needs really radical changes...Oh thats another topic & another post altogether...:0 -
Huh...I feel so lost here...gasp gasp aaah... My interface with technology is MS office & internet explorer. Aaaah & not to mention my ability to use my mobile to make/ recieve calls & ofcourse sms.. I am a 26 yr old retail professional...consider myself to be a super-marketer, non- MBA but full of MBA fundas, an amateur financial wizard, a cook, wannabe writer & lots more... Cheerio P.S ; These things are supposed to be secret... aren't they?
-
Probably with Ambani Junior at the helm of affairs.... communications as a portfolio has taken a back-seat & the focus is now more on the power sector.. Reliance Energy.. Just see the radical changes taking place in that compnay, even the web-site www.rel.co.in looks proactive

There are so many forums across the board. But Rimweb stands apart from the rest for a couple of reasons: 1) The Mods/ Admins of Rimweb have a high IQ & EQ level. They are really kewl & are the single-most important driving force behind this success. 2) Because of the purpose this forum is dedicated to is niche i.e. RIM users. Its not the sheer size of the rim users that contribute to the success of this forum, but this forum solves their need for information where a service provider fails. 3) Members of Rimweb are really decent & not perverts like you find on some other forums. I am in touch with a few of them thru phone & well all of them are helpful Yeah....back to the original topic, what more do we want?? Well, as the clutter of forums increases all across the net we should further enhance the functionalityof the forum. Start more topics... for everything under the SUN.. Movie reviews College reviews Career forum etc etc Anything more apart from technical discussions. I know I know there are very few non-techies in rimweb.....but I am a non-techie & I would want more juice in this.... Will get to the specifics as this post progresses, lets take sometime off to think over it..
