    My father's connection in Kochi, Kerala is not working. CDMA is dead but GSM/4G sim isn't active either. Postpaid connection.

    I submitted my request to port out to Idea from Reliance CDMA at Bangalore. I have not upgraded to 4G, but my porting request has been denied (got SMS saying it has been denied by the donor operator). I called Reliance customer care and they are saying porting is not allowed and everyone MUST convert to 4G. This is BS! They are not even ready to take a complaint for it. :@

    Thanks @iamrafic -- Unlocked GSM with that ROM. CDMA Data also is working fine on that ROM. Will now go ahead and install the latest Lollipop RUU.

  11. Used PPOBox for a package and it was super quick. Package reached NY on Friday, Aug 14th was forwarded the same day and was shipped from Mumbai through BlueDart yesterday i.e. 18th. Customs was at approx 10% for a 50 USD mobile phone.

  14. Do not buy Motorola Moto E xt1528 for CDMA or GSM. OTA update to 5.1.1 is forced and will lose out all radio functions. CDMA calls still work though. Bootloader is locked, no root and no downgrade back to 5.0.2. Buy Boost variant for a trouble-free usage. How about the US Cellular variant? Any idea?

  17. Don't buy if its from sellers like BestBuy as they usually do not ship to package forwarders and who place multiple orders. Individual sellers should be fine. Did you find any good listings for M8, even I wanted to get one.
  18. @cooladitya007 - What's the price you are getting the Boost version for? AFAIK the cheapest one seems to the Verizon model, 50 USD.
  19. @SmartSamrat - I got the Verizon Moto E today. GSM works after changing the mode but only EDGE, 3G doesn't work. I tried Aircel sim. Inserted my Reliance CDMA sim and it connected to network, call & SMS works, but no data. Data works too! What additional step do I need to do to get data working? Scratch that. Data works too, looks like my cut sim had issues, tried a different sim and data worked without any changes. So only problem is 3G doesn't work in India, I am guessing it doesn't support the 2100 MHz band. Can anyone else confirm?

    Can't you just activate it on some other CDMA handset and insert the SIM into the Moto handset once fully activated? I guess activation usually fails on most imported phones.
