  1. I got my Verizon G2 today VS980 and OMH data doesn't appear to be working. I am still on Kitkat 4.4.2 though. There are no errors or anything, it just doesn't connect. Will try updating to Lollipop and see if it works. Looks like an issue with the RUIM, I tried another RUIM (RECRUC06 series) and it worked right away. Not sure what's the series of the one that didn't work though as its cut and I don't have the outer frame. Although the same RUIM which didn't work on the G2 works fine on an LG Tribute without any issues. Weird.

  3. A shipment through PPO Box which reached Mumbai on 23rd was charged duty at the rate of 10.3%. Not sure if they are planning to change as well.

    The file to be renamed seems to be /system/app/HTCSetupWizard/HTCSetupWizard.apk and /system/app/HtcOMADM_SPCS/HtcOMADM_SPCS.apk. I couldn't find an activation.apk anywhere.

However after the recent changes, you cannot activate a prepaid device on another MVNO unless the device has been in use on Sprint for a year or more.   11. Now that you have root why'd you need to activate? To get SPC you need to pay I believe.

  13. ^ Now that we have root, you can modify the xml files etc and enable the Hotspot. You don't need to activate.

Can't find the usual activation related APKs. There was an Activation.apk in /system/priv-app but renaming that didn't remove the Handsfree activation screen.

Lg tribute does not support rev.b its max data transfer rate is upto rev.A. if u make it rev.b through dfs,network shows rev.b but data works in 1x mode only..rev.B is only rumour in lg ribute.. I m from bangalore too. Have you tried an MTS or Tata RUIM and checked whether it works with RevB? Someone mentioned earlier in this thread that RevB doesn't work with just Reliance.

Btw I modified the build.prop file and the Tethering and Hotspot UI showed up, but not able to enable it, says I am not subscribed. I guess I have to make the default.xml changes as well as the script as described here -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2711892 Hotspot also works fine. Just need to edit the build.prop to enable the UI and the default.xml to disable the subscription check.
  23. ^ I believe its the same. Activation has to happen anyways. And with the new policy Sprint will not allow you to activate a prepaid device which has not been active on Sprint for less than a year or so to be activated or another virtual operator.

  25. ^ No, Sprint. I am not able to get the Hotspot and Tethering option to show up. Its not activating with Sprint over WiFi. May have to play around with the default.xml file I suppose.
